Installed Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_10.2.zip but the boot is very slow. It sits on the white boot screen with the green HTC logo for a good 10 minutes everytime I reboot. Is there something wrong? The device works fine once booted.

did you do a fresh flash? formatted dalvik and system? btw wrong section.
Totally wrong place to post this, obviously you dont read anything cause you would have saw you need 2.22* firmware or you get issues like that.

Hi, let me explain my problem:
I have a desire with power button broken.
last 6 months i use it normally wiht a rooted room (but s-on). When i want to turn on the device I pull off and on the battery twice.
Recently i installed an application and after a reboot the device keeps stuck in the initial splash animation.
So, i ONLY can access to HBoot (0.93 S-on). But i can't enter to recovery to erase userdata and format all and reboot a new room (as usual) because Hboot enter key is the ****ing power button XD.
I tryed to S-OFF in linux with alpharev 1.8 or revolutinary when showing splash but they start and suddenly stop because smthg was wrong.
So the only thing i can do is send basic HBoot commands.
any idea?
You might get more response posting in the correct forum.

You can download Quick Boot (Reboot) from market. Use it to Reboot, Recovery, Bootloader or Power Off.
Anyway, you're posting this in wrong section, should be in Q&A.

Mate, his device is not even reaching the bootanimation, I wonder what kind of market you suppose him to have to use it in splashscreen or bootloader?

Haha.. I got confuse with his statement " When i want to turn on the device I pull off and on the battery twice." So I thought he can boot the phone Wrong section wrong answer
Thanks anyway
Code:
[strike]fastboot oem gencheckpt[/strike]
Good development you've got going here.
Mate flash an original wwe stock rom with its own flash utility (just run the executable) but you will loose root after that use the alpharev utility once your phone has started.

I had this same problem a while ago. Tried many apps to work around power button (mine was stuck "pressed"). Got to the point where I couldn't do anything without getting into recovery. Used a spare phone until I ordered the flex cable assembly from Ebay.. $40 or so..
Despite many years of working with electronics, it was still quite nerve racking to swap the part out... you have to re-use your camera module and a couple plastic parts stuck to the original (on back of volume buttons i think).
Read instructions and watched videos online several times before starting, and again as I did the work, and size/fit was ever so slightly off... but everything works now and I am a relieved and happy camper
I see the development is active for 4 days now.

hello guy while trying to flash a rom! if the phone is rebooted !! and then when it is switched on then just a white background and green htc no quuetly brillant
if again rebooted manually then to same !!
is the phone bricked?
If you can enter boot loader and can use recovery, then no. If you can't, yes.
AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF WHATEVER PLEASE POST IN THE Q&A SECTION FOR A QUESTION TO BE ANSWERED.
I'm not going to, and I suggest everyone else reading this, to not answer any more questions in the general section.
Thanks.
Try to pull the SD card and enter bootloader that way... after i fried mine, that was the only way it would start in bootloader. I hope it works for you!

Could you provide some more info like Rom, recovery, if it was working before or not?
Please do not open multiple threads about the same problem. By multiple, I mean more than one thread by the same OP about the same problem. Since you are probably new to the thread format (benefit of the doubt, please don't be offended) I will request a mod close one of your threads and leave the other open.

More answers in your other thread, do not post multiple threads again.

Have you flashed your boot.img for the rom your using? if your even using a rom.. Usually the main cause for boot loops.
And you are in the wrong forum, this is for the HOX....not for the HOX+
---------- Post added at 03:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:51 PM ----------
But as dizy says.....
Hold the volume - button and the power button together as long as it takes to get in the bootloader. Then flash the boot.img from the rom you tried to install
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot reboot
It probably boot then
Sorry for posting in the wrong section. Somehow i managed to fix the boot loop, and now i want to root the phone but i dont trust the tutorials all over the internet.
Can you provide me a good tutorial?
Yeah, go and read up in the hox+ section.
Its too easy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213910
I've been looking all over, but there is only one section for hox+ and that one belongs to developers. damn
When i go to the hox+ section i see
General
Q&A
Development
All sorts of sections right away......just browse a bit and look around, its easier then you think
The only section related to HOX+ is the developers area. If i am wrong, please provide a link.
I just did dude ....4 posts above this one ......hox+ unlocking and rooting ....
Look
Says it all i guess
how did you fix your problem?
I have the same problem and the initial screen (quietly brillant) is looping, how did you fix your problem?
