Here's what I did
1) Using adb I set the folder permission of System/app folder using fallwoing command
adb shell
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
cd system
chmod 644 app
my mobile started to continuously pop up error messages saying system UI crashed................................
only way to make my mobile usable wast to force remove battery, Then when I restarted, my Xperia m is stuck at that colourfull lines logo
Please tell what I did wrong
PS: My xperia M is rooted using Towel Root method and was running on latest version

You just have to move to system / app and change permissions, or something else that does not mention but since many must know when an app is published superusermod is necessary, so get superusermod lest you problems .... :good:

For roms using stock keyboard and failing to install this one, do this in adb :

pm uninstall com.android.inputmethod.latin

Now install this like a regular app.

Important running darkly legendary steel 4.1 with speedmod 10h kernel. Do i need to use root explorer and copy it to system/apps or anything special? I had this problem ages ago with HTC ime but found a cwm zip and it worked fine. This has replaced that keyboard but ime fine with that ad i can cwm it back on

Im not sure, if ur using a rom that already has in /system/app then it will cause issues.
U will have to remove the older one first.
For me on jpo, it was just a regular app install and works fine.

Works fine for me over here, using Ultimate ROM v2 in conjunction with SpeedMod kernel 10E, EXT4NJ lagfix all tweaks, everything works except vibration function as stated, but in the predictive text bar at the top it shows my contact names, no other words. Here are some screens!

Run the app and see why it force closes.

All i did was send the apk to my phone via bluetooth, and install it normally. I didn't mess around with system/app, it installed fine, and then i went to settings-->locale and text---> enabled keyboard and walla
Hello people , i modified the framework-res.apk of the Cyanogenmod 10 ROM to make it have dual panel view in the settings like in the Paranoid Android ROM.
I made it at first for the unlimited xperia project ROM but since it is based entirely on CM10 it works on CM10 too

Install xposed and you have these paranoid android like dpi/layout settings for any rom.

But if you change dpi only in build.prop from 320 to 192 you apply that dpi settings to whole phone...
I don't thing that could work.
You'll get dual view in settings but messed up home screen.

Obviously not This is to de-odex the stock ROM, with a deodexed ROM you can install framework mods/systemUI mods... Much like that.

Download zipaligned zip file, extract it, copy zipaligned_app and zipaligned_frame from extracted folder to sdcard (internal memory)

Download it and copy to system/priv-app using any root explorer app and set RW-R-R permission reboot
Or using adb type
adb remount rw
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/priv-app
adb shell chmod 644 /system/priv-app/SystemUI.apk
adb reboot
Replacing apk is enough just gave .odex file also

yeah dont worry i will flood the moto e with my mods iam new to xda (i use it but dont comment or write posts etc)
I think i need to use a smali in order to get that battery % to the side of battery but can anyone confirm that there will be no chance of brick if i deodex the rom using kitchen and install it ?? ive made a backup of my rom already just to be safer side

You can take a nandroid backup of your current setup to your external sd card, using twrp. After that you can do all you want to do with your rom without worrying about what can screw up. :good:
Ive deodexed apps but cant find smali folder

Yea.. I am too facing that error.. apk dont decompile fully... it runs of errors...
I am deodexing the system will tell the results soon and even compiling decompiling is also too complex and adb root commands need adb insecure app but we can use adb root apps in power off mode but all other options like adb reboot reboot recovery works fine

Working on my rooted only Xperia Z with 5.0.2
@anakdayak He forgot to add the .odex file
Try this one no need for superuser mode
Move the files to system/apps with the correct permissions FOR ALL FILES AND FOLDERS and reboot
Tested on my Xperia Z2 rooted and then unrooted

Can share the flashable superuser mod for stock odex 270? I'm prefer not to use xposed framework by serjr.

Mine is deodex-ed. If you retain the odex, you're not modifying the file and hence there's no need for superuser mod as the SEMC signature is retained. It's the same thing.

That's what we need to install it on rooted devices without superuser mode
I tried the one from system dump files but it doesn't work and when I added the .odex file to your port it works.
Would you like to add it to the first post it will help the others here

hi @lee480 thanks for your porting working fine on my rooted z2 but can I ask you a question what what the error ? and how do you fix it ? my logcat said that their was an error in getting permission for the app he needed to have these permission :

Probably the new Xperia Z3+ lockscreen has some permission to change some lockscreen settings that our present software doesn't support.
