Flash E975 ROMs to F180? - LG Optimus G (International)

I'm sorry, I know I should be looking for the answer instead of making a new topic but there's too many and I can't find the correct one.
If I want to flash E975 ROMs to my F180 (stock), I will root, unlock the boot loader, flash a custom recovery and then flash the E975 ROM (Any?)
Is that it or I have to flash some firmwares enable flashing E975 ROMs to my F180?
Help please. I just wanna confirm.
Thanks God Bless

I have a F180L...Yeah...It's just that simple...The main difference is that some ROMs won't support 13mpx camera (only 8mpx). Beside that I had no problem at all.

Install roms ??

hey i have just rooted my phone but if i suddenly choose to install a new rom in the future, will i still have the memo function ?
..............................have you unlocked the bootloader too?please do it as fast as you can,if you don't want to get into "certificate security error".
If you flash a custom rom based on LG firmware, yes you have all the functions. If you flash a CM based rom,no,you will lose every LG goodies. You decide what you want/need.
Consider this the first and last warning about unlocking the bootloader.I will ignore any other discussion on this matter.i don't like repeating myself.
the bootloader is alredy unlocked but thx for the answer.
and another newbie question - how can is ee if it is the same firmware as lg ?
i have rooted and ocĀ“de my other htc incredible s, so i am not completly new
We have only 3 roms based on lg fw. Look on faq. Come on guys, think a litle. Do you think you are the first to have this phone?this questions have already been answered.
Sent from stock LG E975/smart phones, dumb people.
u have to unlockbootloader by freegee on playstore. and do guide about that rom of thread that u want to flash.

[Q] Any way to Flash P930 Custom Roms on LU6200?

Hey Guys...
I tried to flash P930 Custom rom based on PAC on my LG6200.....
But it didnt boot & got stuck at Loading Screen after Boot animation.
So i wanted to know is there any guide/way to flash P930 (Nitro-HD) ROM on LG-LU6200..
I searched and find this tutorial Tutorial By @znithy... But confused would it also work for Custom ROMs.....
Thanks in Advance and waiting for your advises.....
I don't think its possible as I remember someone saying in this forum that the chipsets are different.
The tutorial is about flashing the stock P930 rom to Lu6200 & shouldn't apply for custom roms. I wish that weren't the case as us lu6200 users don't have many English roms to try.
There is one Bell P930 rom but it is ICS, search in LG LU6200 section. You cannot use P930 rom directly on your cell, It needs to be modified.

It's not unusual for that entry in the build.prop to be blank, and shouldn't cause issues. I think the default there should be '11 11', though having it blank should be fine (pretty certain).
> Working perfect on stock based rom
Which roms are you flashing that are giving you problems? Many of the e980 roms are bugged out in various ways, maybe it's just a quirk of the one(s) you flashed? I had a similar problem recently, wifi just would *not* stay enabled, would not behave. I don't remember which rom it was though; I flash too much.
You've flashed the Kitkat 20g modem, yes? If all else flails, you could always flash back to Kitkat stock and start over, that's guaranteed to tell you whether its a hardware or software problem (if it persists after that: hardward, got to be).

Booyah: E980 20g Kitkat TOT.
Also, with Lollipop roms, I don't think any of them are totally stable or functionally 100% yet, so that's not a place to go if you want stuff to work. There's plenty of nice Kitkat roms like PAC-rom or Carbon-Rom is you want stability and want for your phone to work fully (but thats no fun! ).

Yoink.
^-- Freegee never lets me in unless I flash the Sphinx GPro Recovery CWM recovery first. Once that is done, it's all good.

Oh, no, you misunderstood: you don't use the CWM, you only install it and then quickly install *over* it with one of Freegee's recoveries. Never use the Sphinx CWM, as you'll get errors when you go to flash roms. You only insatll the Sphinx CWM so that Freegee will recognize your device and function, it's only a stepping stone to Freegee, not a recovery you should use on its own.
And, in light of recent developments on the TWRP 2.8 front, I'd say give that a try instead. It mounts your external SD just fine. THe only things I've flashed with it are BlissPop builds and Gapps, but all without an issue yet. Go for the one with the Play theme and enjoy its gorgeous colors.
Thanks buddy.. Freegee recognized my device and installed cwm succesfully

For owners E980 phones

Hi, guys!
I need to know who use LG Optimus G Pro E980. What custom ROM do you use?
Do your phones Deepsleep on custom ROMs?
My friend tried to use many custom ROMs. But his phone didn't Deepsleep.
His phone sleeps only on Stock based ROMs.
Thanks!!!
e988 user here
@Alezzander_ If you having problems with deepsleep this is a good thread for you, i personally use it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-g-pro/general/flashaholics-recipe-success-att-e980-t2854320
despite what all ppl here on forums say i never flashed madmacks modem cuz i dont think its for my device.
always start with your models (e980,e988,e986 ORIGINAL firmware kdz and dont flash madmacks modem cuz custom roms dont touch modem partition) then root, recovery, custom rom....
try to avoid installing all apps that have background scanning or syncing (avp or facebook ) that apps will hold phone awake...
open gapps is also good choice (tested) and deleting nfc app
TWRP 2.8.7.0 + Wild kernel + Blisspop here running great! cheers :good:

I have E988 model and have not problem with Deepsleep. I wrote about my friend. He has E980 and his phone did not Deepsleep on all custom ROMs. Suspend_backoff wakelock did not allow Deepsleep.
Madmacks modem only for E980 models not for E988. He did not use Gapps and NFC deletted.
But his E980 Deepsleep on Stock based ROMs.
Thanks for link. I will show this thread to my friend.

One thing to mention. It is crucial to start on stock jelly bean. This is where Madmacks modem is from.
I don't know why but there's a problem with kit kat's modem that will prevent deepsleeping in custom roms.
An observation, Madmacks modem is e980 specific or AT&T specific.
For any other model, for flashing a modem you first need to learn how to extract it, then zip it.
There's a sticky thread by @aryan1312 under android development, where he teaches how to do this.

Kernel explain

My question is
Can i install kernel when ive got working phone like right now?? Or i have reflash all thing again?? What woukd happen if i will flash kernel right now ?? And just only kernel. And what adv gives me to install custom kernel pls explain
Hi,
Based on your post, I don't have enough information to say one way or the other. To flash another kernel you need to have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. If you meet both of these conditions, then yes you can install a different kernel regardless of the fact that you aren't installing a ROM and Kernel at the same time. As always, make sure you take back ups before you proceed.
The next step is working out with kernel. You can not install a kernel designed for a stock based ROM on CM13 or vice versus.
Regards,
Ravi

Flashing a kernal is simple. Just head into recovery and flash. You'll keep all your data and everything would look like the same like before.
