In a nutshell, sign up for isis and then sign up for the prepaid debit card for the acct from amex and they put $50 on your acct right away, I just did it and got it. It only runs till the 31st which is this sunday so go go go. Also if you are rooted install xposed and install the rootcloak module before you install isis. Otherwise isis wont install

In the 2nd post of the link they talk about how cancelling your serve acct and waiting a couple hours you will get the $50 when you sign back up
When I jumped to my M8 the lady asked did I want a free otter box defender. She used this method .
Did you plan on getting that case anyway @chuck24? If not she bamboozled you lol. Those cases are way too bulky for me.

Just go into a store and have it switched out
I tried but no store has a nano Isis sim
Can you use your $50 right away?
Hey guys, thanks for the info, it's a good deal. Quick question, I signed for serve and did receive my credit, but tried using ISIS twice and both times the transaction was declined. Could you use your credit right away or did you have to wait to receive your Serve card and activate it to use these $50?
Cheers

I used mine at McDonald's last night and it worked without any problems. I haven't received the physical card yet so I'd assume you can use it immediately.

I was using Venom Rom, installed Xposed, RootCloack. Added Isis app into RootCloack. The app opens fine, but credit card machines won't read my phone in most places, works at some McDonald's, but works just fine on Stock Rom without root. Any ideas?

Try using this Xposed module instead of RootCloack:

I checked the device to find it rooted running an older version of EGB and Franco's kernel! Surprise surprise I thought to myself~

Lol thats pretty funny most phones on display when i walk into a rogers store I find, (here in Canada) are either off or have like a fake screen taped on the screen.
Question though what was the process of rooting the G1 if you were able to do it without a computer and in the store?

As far as I know this only affects users who do not yet have a pre-paid card or are trying to re-add their pre-paid card after wiping their device (i.e. me). If your pre-paid card is already active you should not have any issues using it.
In my opinion this issue has been blown way out of proportion...
Oh I agree completely. Its still at least as secure as my actual wallet. In my case more so, as I have a pin on my phone, and of course GW too. Those along with Cerberus to find/wipe as needed I feel as safe as can be expected.
I'll try to use it today when I leave the gym. There's a CVS right next door that has Paypass.
The rumors I've been reading suggest that as long as you have funds remaining on your Prepaid Card you can continue to use it as usual - but I don't think the balance will update after a transaction due to the whole "cannot contact bank" message in your screenshot. When you need to top up the card (which you'll only know is out of funds when it gets declined, I suppose), you'll be out of luck.
Don't reset or you won't be able to add it back.. That's the boat im in now essentially breaks wallet for me now since I don't use citi... wish they would fix it already
According to Money Network support they are supposed to have this feature back up and working in the next day or two.
Yea I used it 2/9 and I had the transaction location along with the deduction from my prepaid amount available. It looks like this only affects new activations. Everything seems to be working fine for me.
If there is still a balance left on it then u can use the balance amount but u cannot add anymore funds to it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I can confirm that I can still purchase things, the balance updates, and I can even see the last 4 of the prepaid card (user id).

I can confirm that I can not purchase anything since I can't connect to the money network.. I have $28 loaded, still getting declined.

I am in the same boat after flashing AOKP 23.
For this hack to even work, someone needs your phone. If my phone is lost or stolen, Google wallet would be the least of my concern. My saved passwords on my browser would be 100x worse than this hack

I've been hearing both here and from calling Money Network that it should be resolved by Friday or Monday. I don't know if you'll have to call to get your card reprovisioned (would make sense to me, since it's a "security" issue) or if it will just start working on its own.
Woke up to find funds unavailable and user id couldn't connect.
I reset the google wallet app to see if that would fix it, now i can't re-add my prepaid card.
According to Droid Lifes Twitter others say its down as well.

You're not alone. This morning I couldn't see my funds and when I tapped on the prepaid card it said that it couldn't connect to the bank or something, so I also reset the app and now can't add a new card either. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon. Just got the Nexus and Google Wallet is pretty sexy.

I was bored enough to try.
When I called they confirmed it was down and they're currently "working on it."
Google Wallet has been down for at least 15 hours now. No response from Google on their Plus page or Twitter.
This is the service that they claim will replace our physical wallets?
1) Even if it was taken down intentionally for maintenance, there should have been a warning beforehand.
2) If this is unexpected downtime, they should've responded within 15 hours. It's a monday for Christ's sake, and I'm not aware of any US public holidays.
I'm going to be submitting this story to the tech blogs, and I hope you do the same. I've stuck by Wallet through all the negative press, but this episode demonstrates with absolute certainty that Google really aren't invested or interested in Google Wallet.
Hi. My original S3 stopped charging and I just received the replacement. My plan is to use it for work since it is clean. They force us to use airwatch. Getting a Note 4 for my personal phone. Is there something that I should save off or insert before I activate it?
Thx

I'm going to activate it on Sprint. Airwatch is a BYOD administration application. It detects among other things, whether the device is rooted. Then it invalidates your device. There doesn't seem to be a workaround. They fix every exploit as soon as it's implemented.

Wondering if there is a way to get the hotspot feature working on the old version of unlimited data for verizon? I kept this plan specifically to avoid throttling because I do use much more than 21GB a month (around 35-50 on average) and I occasionally use hotspot in congested areas.
Tried foxfi, no dice. Any other suggestions?
I was just about to ask the same thing.
I just came from a pixel and I know if you popped out the SIM card and then quickly turn on the hotspot while putting the sim card back and it would work. Doesn't seem to work with the S8 ?
The SIM technique worked for me!
I used over 200gb last month with probably 70gb of that from tethering. I don't think throttling is really an issue.

Let me know if that works, I'm also following a thread on the s8 forum. It looks like some people were able to get a carrier nutural version which I'd believe would allow us to bypass the hotspot check all together

Ok, so until this post I had no idea about the Sim Card Technique. It took like 5 tries to get it to work, but once you initate the SIM card you have about 2 seconds for tethering to work.

I pay for the hot-spot just to avoid being kicked off. Didn't Verizon kick people off who passes 100 or 200 GB in a month.
