Just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to change the color of the Google keyboard to white like the stock g3 keyboard. It clashes with the rest of the phone being black and is the only thing keeping me from switching to it .

I find it quite annoying that the gmail app has white background with black text while most other stuff has black background with white text which is much more readable.
I tried fiddling with the gmail.apk to change the background but didn't get anywhere. So did anyone create such a changed apk or would know how to do that?
Maybe you can ask this guy to help you do it yourself
by the way looking at the kind of themes these guys are producing for their phones I am wondering why don't we have such on samsung

I hated white backgrounds too. So I just installed k9 email
I just cant stand K9... It doesnt feel comfortable at all...

Hey guys I remember on the note 2014 you could change the keyboard from white to black but I cannot for the life of me remember how to do this does anyone know how to change the keyboard to black? Maybe it is not possible i do not know
Just wondering if I can update the color of the stock keyboard without rooting. My screen is a bit uneven in color and lighting, and it's resulting in the keyboard looking more blueish grey on the left side when in landscape. It's sort of bugging me. I'm using as much dark color as I can on this thing, but it uses so much white and light colors. Much more than my S3 did.
I would just download a different keyboard from the play store, they have lots of colors themes ect....
That is the great thing about Android there is so many third party apps that if you don't like stock you can completely change it. I use touch pal keyboard very customizeable: size, color/theme, language, etc...
