Hello, I am on ATT using a Tmo S3 using a LTE APN but battery is draining fast when connected to mobile data. Does anyone have a fix for this (settings?) and where I can still use ATT HSPA+ connection? Thanks in advance.

if youre on an international rom, it wont work
wifi calling only works on stock t-mobile bought phones.
if your on anything else its impossible

Not true. I have an AT&T phone but a T-Mobile sim and I get Wi-Fi calling.
The requirement is you need T-Mobile service.

Ib thought you could go in dialer settings and make calls over any network on all of these touchwiz roms?

WiFi calling will work on T-Mobile network on any phone running T-Mobile ROM. There is no apk., its more then just apk.

People have been trying to get this to work on other roms for years. I believe there is even a $10,000 bounty on it. Not gonna happen!
Must have Tmo simm & a Tmo based rom.

You are wrong, before I purchased my Tmobile Galaxy S4 M919 phone I had a Galaxy S3 i747 unlocked AT&T phone
and I had wifi calling and it worked perfectly after flashing any Tmobile roms except with the AOSP/AOKP/CM10 roms.
WiFi calling is connected through the T-Mobile sim card. So if you have a T-Mobile card in an at&t phone it'll still work.

That's because tmobile and att galaxys are so close in variants, you can actually flash a stock tmo tar over a i317 gs3 and works great plus, they have the premium suite release and tmotion rom, a tmo based rom in the att i317 and dev forum

That's not true, if u use a stock att rom, in an att phone with a tmobile sim =NO Wifi calling., you have to flash a tmobile stock tar on the att phone, or custom rom , many att roms have aroma installer and you can choose.. Tmobile as a carrier option thats when wifi calling gets implemented in the rom that's when and only how tmo wifi calling works on a att phone.And its mainly galaxys s3 devices.

Anyone try basing what to pull off of what the One guys did? They have it working on international 4.1.2 ROM's. It does change build.prop, though.

How well would my s4 work on the AT&T network? Thinking of making the switch only because TMO has very bad coverage @ my place of employment and zero coverage @ my new home. Please do consider that I will apply the appropriate compatible radios/rom(s) for ATT.

Yes.
You have to SIM unlcock it. There is a guide around here somewhere. It's really easy.
Do not switch radios. Let me say that again. Do not flash an AT&T radio. You will not be happy.

Well I'm using AT&T on my t-mobile samsung galaxy s4 and its unlocked of course and I got to tell you it's great and yes I did the switch for the same reason you are mentioning and I'm getting 4g lte

I use my T-Mobile gs4 on AT&T, but be sure to check your APNs, otherwise you might not be getting LTE.

I'm getting LTE using TMO on AT&T no problems. And I didn't perform any lte hacks. Or AWS mod. Mine just quirks...:thumbup:

I purchased my phone unlocked. Presumably, with the method described in another thread. I performed the AWS Mod to get LTE on my SGH-I317 with T-Mobile.

You only need the aws mod to enable HSDPA+ on the 1700mhz band. LTE works out of the box.

Aren't they downsizing the AWS 3G? I didn't even bother doing the mod when I used an ATT Note 2 on T-Mo.

You are correct they are upgrading 1900mhz for their HSDPA+. In some areas that has not been completed yet though. If you do any traveling the mod would be helpful.
