WARNING: INSTALLATION OF ANY CUSTOM ROM [AND EVEN OFFICIAL FIRMWARE USING ODIN/KIES] CAN BE DANGEROUS. DON’T DO ANYTHING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU DO.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TRANSFORM YOUR CODINA INTO A BRICK
You need to have at least official 4.1.2 ROM with temporary CWM recovery (or ANY other 4.1+ custom ROM with recovery) to install this ROM
Although 4.2 i 4.3 branches of Slim ROMs are considered as not officially developed anymore - device and (especially) kernel sources are still under development - beside of this, i could add some features here and there - so let's call those ROMs as "in development stage". That way the ROMs are recommended only to people with at least some basic knowledge about Android troubleshooting. If your knowledge about Android is enough only to use the basic features of the phone then stay with 2.36 or 4.1.2 ROMs (or any other ROM, whatever. Just don't ask how to enable BLN or development menu for a thousand of times).
Main Features of SlimROMs [may vary depending on Android version]
The Real Dark Slim (TRDS)
SlimPIE
Expanded Desktop
LCD Density Changer
List View & System Animation
Navigation Bar & Ring
Notification Power Widget
Privacy Guard
Profiles
Quick Settings
RAM Bar
Theme Engine
Widgets Viewpager
Performance Settings
For more details go to official SlimROMs site: http://slimroms.net
Main features of used kernels*
Code base updated to Linux 3.0.x+, depending on used sources*.
CPU OC (up to 1250MHz, stability depends on your unit quality)
GPU OC (up to 730MHz, stability is pretty good, but speed bust is debatable)
CPU/GPU undervolting
Many governors and i/o schedulers available
* Probably main releases will be based on default TC kernels, however i consider adding separate kernel zip packages with @ChronoMonochrome's kernel (or maybe even one slightly modified by me)
Other characteristics of my ROMs:
Compiled with SaberMod toolchain
Compiled with optimization level -O3 [mix of "original" SlimSaber optimizations and JustArchi's optimalization commit]
compiled with necessary changes resulted from above changes
Source code:
SlimROMs
SlimSaber
SOURCES OF KERNELS:
Default Kernel by TeamCanjica
Chrono Kernel 3.1
xxxxxx [old, non-OC kernel - maybe later]

Inspiration for "creating" this ROM was SlimSaber Reborn by @fusionjack. Some claimed it as most stable/best ROM for Galaxy SII (i9100) phone. Too bad, compiling the ROM for Codina using SlimSaber Reborn sources (manifest) ended with some major issues [System ui silently crashes after receiving statusbar notification]. So, in short words - IT IS NOT SLIMSABER REBORN version for Galaxy Ace II . My ROM uses original SlimROMs sources, but...
1. Modified to work with our phone of course (OMX patches, low in-call workaround implementation, with some apps removed, etc.)
2. Mix of SlimSaber and JustArchi's optimalizations WITH all necessary fixes [build, external/bash]
3. Specific device sources
4. Device specific kernel sources
5. TWRP Recovery taken from KitKat branch
6. Some apps removed (e-mail, exchange, live wallpapers, etc.)
7. Original keyboard switched to Android L Keyboard
8. Things borrowed from SlimSaber Reborn:
Some of memory leak fixes in Settings and frameworks/base sources
SaberMod toolchain sources taken from SSR manifest
Some GPS fixes (may be reverted, because i'm not sure if helps or just the opposite).
So, once again - it's not a SlimSaber Reborn exact implementation (but it's close in some parts). I think it's possible, that next releases (if any) could be even more close to SSR, but it never will be "clean SSR", because of apps removed by me and differences in device/kernel sources (which is not the same with differences between both devices). I think next step will be Omni Performance Control integration...
Anyway - there wouldn't be my SlimBean ROM without SlimSaber Reborn...

Yes, that build is very close to original SlimSaber KitKat for Galaxy SII (apart from device/kernel differences AND those apps deleted by me). So this time all credits goes to @fusionjack [rest of credits you'll find in his thread]. I made that ROM because... well, i lost confidence in some of our leading ROMs and @shine911 didn't release his SlimKat ROM for long time (last one had serious issues with recovery storages and camera i think). But i wanted to test SlimKat ROM so badly... then i found SlimSaber topics... In the same time some of our fellows claimed that current (or in general) Kitkats are worse than leading 4.3.1 ROMs for our device. Well, i don't think that is so easy, but one is sure - KitKat source update from 4.4.2 -> 4.4.4 wasn't best thing that happened to our device's ROMs. So, first i tried to make our version of SS Reborn, but there was major issue (described above), so i tried to make SlimSaber Kitkat...
Short for now (didn't even tested last builds): It's much more SlimSaber than 4.3.1 version. Actually it uses SlimSaber repository (platform_manifest) with only device specific modification (as said before: omx patches, low in-call workarounds) and maybe some more apps removed. Maybe (just like in 4.3.1 build) i'll change original keyboard to Android L version...
But, in general, it's (or should i say: will be) SlimSaber for Codina).
When i tried to build my own versions of SlimSaber ROMs for Codina - i decided to release it in one thread. Then - i had to decide how "deep" should that project be. Should i stop on 4.3.1 Android version, or move further, to build "complete Slim base"... I took a look into our device sources and found out, that 4.2.2 should be the final border. Our 4.1.2 sources are not good developed as 4.2.2 (which are much less developed than 4.3.1, updated lately thanx to courtesy of @Rox), but good enough (I think).
But what for? We have couple of SlimBean 4.2.2. builds, and probably nobody uses it anyway). Ok, but we have slightly modified device source AND major progress in kernel sources (OC, UV, etc.). Because of it - it was good ground for learning of making ROMs).
And i like number 3 more than number 2).
INFO UPDATE:
ROM based on Android 4.2.2 (planned at the beginning) cancelled [for now?]

This ROM is based on CM 11.0 and made from MoKee Open Source
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP and CyanogeMod project. The source code is updated frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features at the same time.
The Mfunz Forums launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better.
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development. Newcomers are always welcomed!
Official website: http://www.mfunz.com
Types of Releases:
MoKee OpenSource has 4 kinds of releases: official release, beta, nightlies, and unofficial builds.
Official release: This version is tested throughly by developers and users, so it is the most stable build
Beta: When a device is newly added, there will be beta versions for testing, but there might be unknown bugs and problems
Nightlies: Nightlies are compiled automatically by servers, so it will have the latest features but beware of uncompleted works
Unofficial builds: These builds are compiled from source or ported by non MoKee developers
Official Releases:
MoKee Open Source supports many devices, but the developers may not have all devices in hand, so if there are device maintainers that can help out, the official releases will be decided by them, MoKee Open Source will only maintain the nightlies to ensure the usability of the ROM. However, for devices with no device maintainers, MoKee Open Source will decide when to release official builds or nightlies. Therefore, if you have a device maintainer, please get the official releases from your respective device maintainer's thread or nightlies from MoKee Open Source.

So really dumb question here, this says it's for ATT, will it work for Canadian carriers? Just wondered cause I'm with Koodo Mobile and they're a Telus subsiduary. Is it a multi-CSC rom?
Awesome! Thanks for an awesome new ROM. So far running perfect and smooth.
Making the iPhone jealous one user at a time.

The only things that you CANNOT flash is BASEBAND (modem,wifi,3G data) or Bootloaders
Update released today. Gonna flash the 2/13 alongside 2-3 other ROM's and see if it's something I want to stick with. Anybody noticing any instability or reboots or battery destruction? Lol!

Great ROM, installed it and there were no problems whatsoever. You do have to remove some crapware (like Game Center) but it can be easily removed with apps2rom. Multiwindow work even better than with OmniROM. Also, it does help to install Crossbreeder along with BMS frandom, the UI is smoother after installing it.

MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Features:
-- Incremental updates
-- OTA updates - update on the fly!
-- Native exFAT support (Samsung devices only)
-- ListView animations
-- Calendar - with lunar and solar calenders
-- Bulk SMS recipients
-- Adjustable SMS font size
-- SMS sending delay
-- Smart dialing
-- Speed dialing
-- IP dialing
-- Custom carrier name
-- Network speed in status bar (upload and download!)
-- Built in timer in Apollo - determine when to stop playing music
-- Unique Power Saver functions!
-- Custom screen off animations

Installation Instruction
-- Make a backup of your ROM
-- Wipe Dalvik/ART cache + System + Data + Cache if Coming from a different ROM.
-- If is a Mokee to Mokee update theoretically there is no need to do wipes, but if it fails do the above
-- Flash ROM (Wait! the install process is slow)
-- Flash Gapps (if doing all the wipe don't flash any other zip with the ROM + Gapps, flash only after on good boot of the OS)
-- Gapps must be flashed with the ROM before start thesystem, never after.
-- Reboot to system

Notes/Faqs
-- First boot might take a while around 5 to 10 minutes so don't panic, it will boot fine.
-- Working and Not working list is as same as CM13.0 OFFICIAL Build
-- Use search button for your errors first and than put a query in here.

Congratulations to AOSP and CM12 rom people but i still need to see custom kernel based on stock kernel. Still, i am mad at motorola for taking so long to deliver 5.1 to our device. Downloaded and flashed with pico gapps, all seems fine so far. I will use this until serious bug occurs. My first observation ; Sound quality is better and louder

Are you sure, what test have you done?
Have you try to make a call, and put your hand over the front camera (simulating your ear) the screen must shut down.
I tested here works for me on a call and Wave, pulse notifications work too...
Yep, I am trying the current nightly to see if the problem persists.
Proximity sensor works for me!
Is there a kernel developer so we can flash over this outstanding ROM
I'll appreciate

I will make ROM and OTA zip's for when Mokee server doesn't make one, so we can have a up to date ROM.

===================
10-23-2015
====================
* V.1.0.7
* Add suport to Mokee ROM Using Carliv Image Kitchen Tool
This was tested on the latest nightly, it may not be 100% compatible with old (before 10/21) mokee versions.
Bug report: make with in the most accurate description possible, do not spare words, screens and logs, a bug that i can't understand can't reproduce I can't fix.
What are the chances this would work on the turbo XT1254 ?
sames as other custom 100%
To anyone else intereasted, I was able to flash the ROM with no problems. I need to do more testing by flashing the radio. I was roaming/LTE off and on. Other than that it's very fast.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!
Flashing Instructions:
- Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM or a different version of Android
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)
- Flash the latest version of this ROM
- Flash recommended GAPPS linked below
- Reboot and ENJOY!!
**If you fail to follow these instructions, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use Xposed, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use another kernel, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**This is an unofficial build, please don't report bugs over g+. Report it here itself with appropriate logs**

I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.
SuperSU does not work, what can I do?
If you are useing F2FS, SuperSU does not work on Xiaomi Mi5, use PHH Superuser.

I m using f2fs, latest SU 2.79 SR1 works with it no more phh
Has this rom wakelock blocker ¿?
Thanks for the rom.
this is wonderful news DU has always been my favourite thank you! will try it soon and report
I have f2fs data and cache and supersu is not working, tried the latest version, 2.79 SR1 beta
i tested it quickly, seems very nice
only big problem yes it is video recording, that doesn't work at all here (doesn't save videos to sdcard). but adding "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" in build.prop seems to fix it! can someone else confirm?
only other things, i miss the swap keys feature, but i could swap keys myself modding keylayout files so not a big problem, and the fingerprint wake that is not enabled, but i see i can enable it with the echo command via terminal.. so again not a big problem!
thanks!

sorry but where? didn't see it.. do you mean something like in CM and other roms where you have "additional buttons" menu in settings? because in DU i didn't see it.. tia!
and for fingerprint wake you confirm we should flash the old zip for cm right? to add the echo command in init.d..
@33bca I installed your DU rom and “com.android.phone.process“ don't works and therefore Does not detect the sim card.
Looks like that it happens when change from cm based rom to aosp roms ?
Any idea what could to be the solution ?
did you clean flash? i came from RR (cm based) and no problems at all..

[DEPRECATED] [AOKP] [9.0] Android Open Kang Project Pie

WARNING: I decided to halt the project due to lack of development support of the AOKP source code (sadly, I also don't have enough knowledge and time to committing to it). I will be in Mi Note 3 development with new projects. Thanks for understanding.

WHAT IS AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

BUGS:
NOTE: There are some bugs, but I think they are ROM-side, not because of me. I fixed everything that I can do with the latest updates:
- Cannot disable hardware keys (Navigation bar still works).
- MIUI camera app crashes if you take a photo with effects.
