Because you're lazy and like most n00bs you want spoon feeding which is also not allowed.
What is best/smooth for me wont necessarily be smooth for you. "Best" is also subjective so all you're going to get is mixed opinions which makes the whole idea of topic useless which and just clutters up place if people are allowed to ask such a topic each time they want to flash their phone which is why these topics are not allowed on XDA.
If you want to find out which is best for you, try them and find out!

Yessss I know that being smooth is subjective people are complaining about the laggs in dn3 ! So I'm asking others whom using phantom if they experiencing such things or not.
As I said before I'm not lazy I just don't have one day to backup and restore all my apps and data with titanium backup which has no batch restore !!!

Errr no it doesnt. You must have unregistered version. Full version installs them all in batch mode, no user action is needed.

Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Navigate to the updater-script inside the META-INF folder. Open updater-script with something like Notepad++.
There you will find some ui_print("..") stuff or add/delete/edit some.
everything between the "" will be printed on the screen while installing.
Make sure you know what you're doing before stuff goes wrong...
Next time use the search function, you will find more answers than there will be posted in this thread, and nobody likes 200 copies of the same question.
also, guys, calm down.. Everyone has to start at the bottom, nobody is born with Android-knowledge.

Make sure you use Notepad ++ if windows is your dev system of choice , if you use notepad/wordpad windows changes the ANSI of the file so it's not readable under linux/android
What kinda rom you making ? is it a port ? or compiled from source ? any development is good development !
and to all the neh sayers everyone has to start somewhere , don't be hating because someone asks for help , lolz and the OP use the search facility and the good thing with android is most stuff isn't device specific so don't be afraid to search threads for other devices aswell on your quest for knowledge

Codename android features!

After staying on stock rom for so long time I am ready to try somthing new . I went through all roms and decide to try Codename android. On its thread it mentioned so many features that I am so willing to try it .
Is this ROM really stable? ( I have been flash crazy on T989 before but dont want to be like that again, I want some stable ROM to run as DD at least for a month)
Any known bugs?

Yes. ..the development section. ..
All current roms and links are there....
Just be sure to read the individual OP's (original posts) of any modified roms you intend to flash. ..
As they contain important information about the roms you "need" to know. ..
Much like your overheat issues. ..more problems arise if steps are missed. ..
And without question. ..make a backup of your EFS partition before flashing new builds. .
We have a handful of devices that are eating those important files. ..and without backups to rebuild with. ..the device is toast...
Happy flashing. ..g

Well you certainly did not learn after all your threads with the same kind of approach. The conclusion stays the same, you want to know what is the most popular rom and assume then that its the best one around ! That's wrong and inaccurate, roms are absolutely personal stable or not !
You said you tried a lot of roms then pick one from it and move on.

I see you don't understand what am I need.
I'm NOT looking for the "best", "stabilest", etc. Rom.
I just want to know which rom the users prefer.
In the N7 General topic there is a poll where you can vote which rom do you use atm.
When I have same free time i do the same here.
Not just for me.
For everyone who wanna know which rom is the "popular"
And it can help for the devs ,they can see which rom beat there own rom. May inspired what they missing from the rom.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
See that's where you go wrong in my opinion, there is no rom beaten by another !!!! They are all great, some have different themes to offer other have different tweaks. They all have their own unique settings.
This is not a competition !!!
Since all chips are made differently....at first I went with the obvious choice of viper x. On ICS i got battery life for something like 36 hours every day use. Then, with JB, the phone battery nosedived faster than if i threw it out of a plane..tried different kernels but no reasonable change. So I had to change and now I'm on InsertCoin with stock kernel. Happiness contained

Hmm.. you still don't understand..
I do not said it's some kind of competition.
All about the users, which they want in a rom.
That's why we have a lot of rom.
It's just a simple question which rom is popular. Not best or stabelest.. or something else.
I'm just interested about this question which rom the users use mostly.
Im just interested and thats all.
So when i have some free time i start a poll on the general topic becouse i want to know that.
If you don't care about it just make a vote and leave the topic.
I don't break any rules if i make a poll.

There is no best ROM and is best to stay away from that conversation as it would cause trolling and other such arguments to occur. The best bet is to try them on your own and get a feel for which one suits you. Good luck

Thanks Shayne and i have a question as you flashed lot of roms, had you ever realized that some roms are better than other roms specially in CAMERA, because i dont like the Optimus G Pro 13 MP camera, i had to use samsung S4 with also 13 MP but there is a big difference in photos and i thought that maybe other rom will change the performance of the camera as i tried that with my old galaxy grand and roms really are different in camera's performance even if it doesnt make sense in theoretical side but believe me it really does...
Best camera in my opinion is the stock camera. Or google camera is good too
