Hey, guys! I've received a lot of requests from users for a Nexus 7 2012 version of my popular BIOS boot animation for N5, N72013, and N10. And now I'm delivering! This is the release candidate of version 1.0.0 of my app, as I've decided not to support the Nexus 4 (BIOS animations for it already exist) or the Galaxy Nexus (age). If the feedback here is positive and bugs/misinformation in the animation are minimal or non-existent, then I plan to take this version public as 1.0.0 final.
Version 1.0.0 is out!
So if you find any problems, please let me know!
Download:
Here!
Or on the Play Store as "[Root] BIOS Boot for Nexus".
Have fun!
Downloading now... Let's see how it goes ??
Forgot to set default animation in theme.
Working great
Many thanks [emoji1] [emoji41]
Version 1.0.0 is out, finalized N7 animation, added more multi-threading for smoother experience.
Great... Love it....

Yes, it has Grouper and Tilapia animations. Also, the link got copy-pasted incorrectly somehow, should work now!

Would it be possible to have the option of selecting 32 GB Nexus 7 (grouper) model?
Thanks !!!

Didn't know there was a 32GB Grouper model, my apologies! I'll get on that.

I wish we can have multi boot options. There are just too many good Roms and restoring nandroid backup takes too long. What do you guys think about developing dual boot option for our Nexus? I wish devs take a look at this concept.

Check out the app Boot Manager from the market. That's exactly what you're looking for.

I imagine it runs well on the galaxy nexus due to the roms running off of the virtual sdcard which is really the internal storage. Is this correct?

From the accounts I've read, BootManager only works for ICS and previous on the gnex..
I am entertaining some options to multiboot this device. Might have already been done, but we got ubuntu one preview, android (of course [particularly jellybean & beyond] multi versions [MIUI, CyanogenMod, etc]), Open WebOS, possibly futures like B2G or Firefox OS & Tizen on the horizon..
and other devices multi-booting (Nexus 7 does).. so I think I might can throw something together possibly.

You need to install Adblock Plus from adblockplus.org/en/android-install
It's the "hosts" file in /system/etc
raduque is correct in the location, but keep in mind if you reinstall make sure to uncheck ad blocking in aroma else it'll be right back where it was.

plus 1 on that. I have been using it for a while now.
Hey everyone,
I bet most of you have read the Android Police article about the facelifted Roboto Fonts!
# If you haven't here's the link (it's a good read) : http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/06/29/typeface-teardown-roboto-gets-a-facelift-in-android-4-3/
Bottom line is, this font is noticeably cleaner and smoother in my eyes.
UPDATED FLASHABLE ZIP linked below.
Just download and flash in your custom recovery.
If you just wanna push the files to the folder, you can download the ZIP (not flashable) from the Android Police article (linked above).
This has only been tested on a Maguro device, and I would appreciate some confirmations on whether it's working on other devices as well. Thanks
Screenshots linked below..
** Note:: I HAVE seen the other Android 4.3 font pack, but that is different. That is the condensed version!

I posted an update to the ZIP. It should work on all Galaxy Nexus models (only Maguro tested). Sorry for the delay but I was travelling!
Can someone on a Toro device please test the updated zip and let me know?
Cheers :good:

Ey guys Just wanted to know when android 4.4 will be officially released for the nexus 7 2013 edition Im so excited:fingers-crossed:
Thanks!!
Right now, we have no official date. HTC said the GPe One will receive the update within 15 days of release. That is November 15. That suggests the 4, 7, and 10 should receive the update before then.

I honestly don't know. I bought mine the minute it was released on the Play Store in the US and received it Monday afternoon. You can try checking the Nexus 5 forum. AC posted this, but it currently only covers US, UK, and Canada http://www.androidcentral.com/nexus-5-where-and-when-can-you-buy-one

Not yet, they work well but some things do not work at the moment. I'm still happy with 4.3 and my current set up so will patiently wait until proper sources are out.

Here's a brilliant idea: nobody post anything about 4.4 until there's actually news about it.
