Seen some old post on this and most of them were for T-Mobile so I say its worth asking for the sprint users.
Is there any Rom that has WiFi calling that is more of a stock Android? (Any Rom that is not a Sense based Rom)
One bump to see if anyone can help me out a little
I'm hoping this option becomes available as well.

I am not a dev and therefore am not sure if this is possible with our SGSII, however I'm wondering if there is any way a dev could create a flashable zip that would allow us to have wifi calling like what comes with ICS on the sensation. I know some of the ICS ROM's with a t-mobile base do have wifi calling but it has the delay issue. I know this will probably solve itself once source is released but as a former HTC HD2 user, I came across a new wifi calling flashable zip for ics released by user tytung in which he included the latest ICS libs and the wifi calling app from the sensation. I am using that flashable zip on my HTC HD2 on an AOKP ROM right now and it works great. Anyways I know that a lot of people on here rely on wifi calling and feel as though a flashable zip with the wifi calling app, such as the one I have referenced below for the HD2 may be a great solution for many of us. This way even ROM's that aren't using a T-Mobile SGSII base could have wifi calling as a usable feature...such as AOKP, CM9, etc.

I have been searching the forums for AOSP ROMs for the Galaxy S2 and i can't seem to find any. I find a few ROMs that have some of the AOSP apps built in, but i'm looking for a strait up AOSP ROM. Is there a such thing for the T-Mobile Galaxy S2?
I do need to use WiFi Calling, i have no reception at my house at all so I need this feature working! But other then that i don't care if video recording doesn't work, if the ROM is GB or ICS.
I miss the HTC device ROMs there were always more options!
Any information would be helpful!

Aokp cm7 cm9 are all aosp and available for the t989. Both cm can be found in the dev section aokp needs to be downloaded from goo manager, which is an app. None of them have wifi calling however. No one has yet been able to figure out how to put wifi calling in a rom that isn't tw based because its more than just an app, its baked into the rom itself. I wouldn't count on it being developed any time soon either, but its not out of the realm of possibility. So to sum up: if you want wifi calling you have to use a T-Mobile rom, if you want aosp, you can't have wifi calling
That is what i was starting to think! sucks! Thanks for the reply!

these guys on the htc sensation forum figured it out check it out
Hey guys, I am a little confused on touchwiz and wifi calling.
If i understand correctly, a touchwiz rom is a customized (de-bloated) stock rom - from what i understand those are the only ones that have wifi calling.
I am currently running cm 10.1 and love it, but I have to start using wifi calling due to poor signal in my new home.
1. do i understand touchwiz and wifi calling correctly?
2. if i do, Any suggestions on the standard best of touchwiz with wifi calling? or can anyone point me in the right direction as I have a hard time knowing weather a ROM is touchwiz or not.
First, a custom TW ROM is more then just debloated. The devs add many scripts and code to improve battery life and smoothness. Some are adding things like AOSP lockscreen and theming. Yes, these modified stock ROMS are the only ones with wifi calling. My advice, roam the threads and see which ROM will suit your fancy.

And to add what LoopDoG said, it has to be a ROM based on a TMobile base. Wifi calling is a TMo feature that is baked into the base, not an APK. All ROMS that support wifi calling will say so in their first post.
And yes, you understand correctly. A non-touchwiz ROM cannot support wifi calling.

Agreed. I use WiFi calling extensively because I live and work in places that have either poor Tmo coverage or no coverage for anyone at all. blackangst is right, I've looking into this a lot because of my need for WiFi calling. WiFi calling is an exclusive Tmo feature and the only ROMs that have it are either stock Tmo, or variants of stock Tmo or any ROM created with a stock Tmo base. There have been several developers who have tried albeit unsuccessfully to include WiFi calling in their non-Tmo base ROMs like the developer of the ROM Embryo 6 (which I would use as my daily driver IF and only IF it were a Tmo based ROM (because of my need for WiFi calling). Note, Embryo is a TW ROM but it's from AT&T so it doesn't have WiFi calling. The best ICS ROM with WiFi calling that I used extensively was Darkside Evolution. But that's it. Tmo based ROM, or no WiFi calling. Right now I'm using the stock 4.1.2 rooted and deodexed and I'm trying to learn how to add the mods I want like the 23 toggles and threaded group MMS messaging.
You can flash multiple touchwiz roms that have wifi calling feature, jedi mind trick, infamous s2, tweakwiz, these are just a few, find one that works for u and flash away

Hi,
Wondering if there are any opinions on the best custom ROM (or ROMs) with T-Mobile wifi calling still intact?
This thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2332717 lists most all of the ROMs, but the names of the threads don't do a good job of describing if they are AOSP vs. TW based (required for wifi calling). Moreover, some TW-based ROMs are based on international versions which don't have the T-Mobile specific wifi calling.
Yes, I'd actually prefer AOSP if wifi calling were intact, but to my knowledge it's currently impossible.

WickedV4 is a personal fave.
A search would have told you there is no best. Only best for you. So you will have to try them out yourself and see.
Wayne Tech Nexus
Currently I use a nexus 4 running stock 5.1.1 and outside of battery life I am pretty happy with stock 5.1.1. I have cyanogen mod on my N7 and I am also happy with that. I prefer something at least close to stock. I am not much of a fan of Touch Wiz or whatever they call the Samsung ROM (or perhaps just the launcher I am not sure).
The problem I am having is that my T-Mobile service is poor in my home office. My wife convinced T-Mobile to give me a free Note II as it will do WiFi calling. From what I gather, the only way to get WiFi calling on this device is with a T-Mobile based ROM.
What should I do? Perhaps just a simple launcher swap? Perhaps I should just setup my google voice number and use that as a defacto wifi calling and use the lollipop based ROM that supports this phone? There is a 4.4.4 ROM that supports wifi calling an yet is close to stock in function. Perhaps that would be the best way to go? IIRC 4.4.4 (actually I think it was 4.4.2) was a pretty sweet spot and I have been close to putting my N4 back their but now the bugs in 5.1.1 have become few enough that I actually enjoy the rest of the experience enough to stay there.
Thanks for your thoughts on this.
