Hello everybody, I have the ls980 and it currently unlocked by the file changing method and I wanted to ask is there any way to unlock it by a sprint code or something like that? I know it exists because I did this to my old phone but at the carrier local store and I don't have a sprint store in Israel. Thanks

I recently completed my contract and received an unlock code for my ATT S3. My phone is currently rooted, but running stock. Will this be a problem when/if I enter the unlock code? I'm looking to move to T-Mobile so any advice is welcome.
Power off the phone, insert a non-ATT sim, boot the phone, enter the unlock code, and you should be fine.
The i747 does not natively support AWS so keep that in mind.

Are you running a stock Samsung ROM? Where did you get the code?

From a third party unlock shop who is arguing that they ate sire the code is good
Are you running a stock ROM? Did you check the imei you gave them? Does the imei you get from the dial pad match the imei on the label attached to the back of the phone?

I'm from Europe and today I received an LG G2 (Tmobile) phone from a friend,but it seems that it is locked.I put my European SIM CARD and everything is ok when I start the phone,but I can't choose the MOBILE NETWORK option.I guess the phone is locked to TMOBILE USA. Is there a way to UNLOCK this phone for free and if not,which is the cheapest site where I can order UNLOCKING CODE for my LG G2? Is UNLOCKCODE247.com reliable website ?

I got a good deal for LG G2 Sprint in Swappa. The seller said that it can be unlocked easily with MSL code for INTERNATIONAL use.
I have the MSL code with me now, but don't know where to plug in or what to do with it. On inserting my native country's (Indian) SIM card, getting "NO SERVICE" message.
Is there any easy way to unlock Sprint G2 for international carriers alone using MSL?? Can you help me out....

I am in a similar situation. after receiving the phone i noticed the network options were available for selection but then i updated to lolipop 5.0.2 and now the network options are watermarked. I have rooted and followed instructions to add property folder to carrier, add apns-conf.xml to etc folder and deleted the 2 recomended files but they keep returning. after dialing ##DATA# in APN settings i am not able to make any changes. inserted my sim and it says invalid card.
any help?
I called and got my phone's unlock codes (domestic) however Sprint declined to provide how to unlock instructions. told me to go to my future carrier and give them the unlock code.
I called T-Mobile current provider and they told me... no Sprint can unlock and TMo, doesn't know how.
so I am stuck with legitimate Sprint unlock codes... and no idea how to use them.
Someone knows how this works here or it's better off just flash customs rom and unlock XDA way?

When you insert another carrier's SIM (in this case, T-Mob) it should ask for the code, then you just enter it.
Custom ROM isn't going to help you unlock the SIM, nor is there a working "hack" to do so without a code.

I've tried ATT, TMO sim and the phone does not ask for sim unlock code... it just says contact customer care.
or if someone knows how to get the phone to ask me for SIM/UICC unlock code... some hot keys to press, that can help too since I have the codes from Sprint.

If you talking about the following mods, they are for unlocking the bands, which AFAIK is not the same as SIM (subsidy) unlock:

yeah, can't find a way to unlock sim to use w/ T-mo ATT. strange... I have the codes from Sprint and no one's done it? good thing I got HTC 10 factory unlocked this time no such problem later on
