okay this is a lil tricky. maybe a chance to learn someting
you need this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2639400
in addition you need the framework-res.apk from the firmware where the walkman is from. (i guess its z2) you can use this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/657vnl1nzz30sz9/Z2_frm.apk (thanx @ashishdubey) after download reneame it pls to "Z2_frm-res.apk
"
put both in the "IN" folder of apktool. run apktool. install the framework, then decompile apk, so you can edit the code.
google how-to & look in /res/values/dimens.xml with notepad++ also the navbar placeholder can be inside a file in /res/layouts/..
just need a bit work & brain....
OR: if that sounds to hard for y, you can do this:
open the Semcmusic.apk with 7zip. go to:
-drawable-nodpi-v19
-drawable-sw600dp-hdpi-v19
-drawable-sw600dp-land-hdpi-v19
allways delete the bg-navbar.png
close 7zip & replace the apk in system/app with edited
this will atleast remove the navbar shadow. (looks way better)
peace
---------- Post added at 09:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:59 PM ----------
also i forget, maybe its the easiest solution, but not allways working:
get xposed framework. install it & reboot. get this module http://repo.xposed.info/module/net.chezlestatto.xposed.mods.adaptedlayout
activate & again reboot. see if worked
Thanks... I was searching for a long time for a solution.

I'm looking for some possible advice for adding extended toggles to an ics rom. Another thread may be better, but I thought I'd start on home turf.
What I'm looking for is statusbarservice.smali in any of the new ics systemui classes.Dex files. Either I am not following the directions correctly, or the classes.dex file for our new systemui is dif than before.
When I baksmali the classes.dex from systemui I look in smali/com/android/systemui/* and do not find the "status" folder that a lot of the "how to" tutorials direct you to, to add the necessary code to direct systemui to the quick panel settings. So long story long...anyone want to help me find the appropriate smali file to edit to get us some extended toggles? I can't find StatusBarService.smali in any of the new systemui apks. There are some similar smali files in other folders but I'm not sure where to start. When I open up the classes.dex files from other Samsung phones that have been modded(like the Note) I find the appropriate files. Any ideas/help? Thx in advance

Thx, we got the Smali/baksmali thing down, it was just a matter of looking for a file that does not exist on our phone on ICS. Have figured out there's a new set of files that need to be modded, that was the issue. Its dif than the other GS2's and standard toggle mods, so its gonna be interesting the get working...

I know ICS is different so it's no surprise that you're running across something like that. The best suggestion I have is to search for that .smali file by name with whatever file browser you're using.

Hey guys, ill start a discussion about fonts
I personally use Sony sketch, its awesome
Wich do you use?please reccomend and share
TUTORIAL TO CHANGE FONTS:
You need FontChanger app that is availiable for free on play store
.ttf (TrueTypeFile) format file,in short font file.
Move .ttf file in sdcard/.fontchanger
And font changer app will recognize it and just apply and reboot.
NOTE:you need to have root+busybox installed for this to work.
Caviar Dreams is my font of choice, has a "Bioshock" type feel to it
I use JRummy16's Rom Toolbox to easily change Fonts between some +150 choices, amongst many other things
It will be interesting to see this font put on.

Hello there. I'm using SlimBean ROM, and.. as the developer was banned and the new releases are unofficial, the "OTA" updates are useless, and I want to remove them.

There, when you press it
it crashes. so yeah I'd like to remove that OTA, I saw a tutorial but idk if that would be useful in this case, as it was to ADD options, and I'd just like to remove this one. thanks

Decompile settings.apk
Navigate to res>xml>settings_header.xml
And remove the one that is related to OTA
Then recompile
Also if u want before recompiling u can remove its icon from inside drawables folder and remove its strings from res>values>strings.xml

Okay, I have tried decompiling APKs before without success, idk, the programs like apktool just won't work on my PC or anything. I'm gonna try again, but just in case, can you try doing it?

Hi there! Thanks for sharing the app! It'd be great if you can share an update in this thread everytime it is released so that multiple threads can be avoided.

As Venomous Viper 119 said, the link directs you to dev host's website. Here's the link http://d-h.st/gCk. There is no virus inside. Check your inferior antivirus.
All ok now mate. My browser opened a a diferent window and i didnt get it... one of thats advertasing ones...my mistake. Apk working gr8.
I haven't moded this apk.
I just found it on a facebook group and I am sharing it here.
This is a moded systemUI.apk for cm11 and it is smoother than the original system UI.apk
It has some sony xperia animations that makes phone faster and in call wake up delay is almost gone.
To install it just delete the old systemUI.apk from system → privat apps and replace it with systemUI2.apk and don't forget to set permissions to rw-r-r
Press thanks if this post helped you

my Wifi stops working after replacing the SystemUI.apk
do i need to rename the SystemUI2.apk to > SystemUI.apk or no?
This app has nothing to do with your wifi bug
You don't have to rename it
Your wifi bug might be caused by a tweak or script that you have installed and you can solve this by doing a fresh install of cm11 and than installing the apk
Don't forget to hit thanks if I helped you
