My software version is: v10a-HKG-xx
Can flash it with a eur kdz file without bricking it?
What is the difference between HKG SEA EUR versions?

Hi, I want to root my G3, however, my phone came stock with Lollipop.
I went through the KDZ firmware IMEI tool to get me to my firmware but even that is Lollipop based. What else can I do? The file was named 'D85520C_00.kdz'. What firmware can I use instead? I get the following information:
Download Firmware
Version: V20C
Country: SEA/HUB(SINGAPORE)
Model: LGD855
Dimension: 1.05 GiB

Can I download another firmware for the D855 not SEA/HUB based? Or does it have to be SEA/HUB and V20C? Will it brick if I get another file with KitKat but for the D855 not necessarily from SEA/HUB?

Download the V10K KitKat KDZ for SEA/HUB from here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=41 under the Singapore section
Using a firmware from another region wont brick it so long as its for D855 but there will be compatibility issues since SEA/HUB firmwares were specifically designed for users in Singapore
Please Note 6SEA/HUB is for the 16GB Variant and SEA/HUB is for the 32GB variant so please distinguish carefully before installing
Downgrade using LG flashtool 2014 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190

Hi @itsbighead !
Just wanted to say your posts from almost 4 months ago has saved me... :good::good::good::good: Just got a SEA D855 and have been looking EVERYWHERE for a while for the kdz so I can install TWRP (cannot be done on Lollipop).
Was wondering though - if I live in Australia (for example) would it make sense to change regions? Are there any adverse affects?

Theres no visible adverse effects
But ive noticed that after installing the v20e from Taiwan on my Vodafone D855 it would have really bad battery so i dont know whether or not it was a problem with v20e that time or something else
At this time im running Non branded V20H on my Vodafone D855 since Vodafone take forever to release updates
So I flashed a non-rooted Polish 10D to my TWN version. Now new updates are available for 10E for Poland and 10C for Taiwan.
From which version will my OTA / LG Bridge firmware update be coming from?
hey, how did you flash it? - i have the TWN too (bought unlocked from amazon) , and where did you take the KDZ?
do i have a brick risc? and did it formatted the device?

I used the guide in the link below using LG Flash Tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848
and the KDZ file from the link below

bump, anyone know the answer to the topic?
Hello. I you can see I'm new to the forums and I'm also new to my LG G4, which happens to be the Taiwanese variant of the H815. I love the phone so far, but I'm a bit bummed that the bootloader can't be unlocked on this model. So I have two questions about this.
If I were to flash the EU Open VDZ, could I unlock my bootloader then?
A lot of the settings are geared towards Chinese/Taiwanese markets. Is there a US H815 stock firmware, or should I use a European version? And what number is the US H815 firmware version so I can go ahead and download it.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. A U.S. firmware should fix most things for me, correct?
Each region/variant has different firmware numbers.
IE 10c TWN/SEA is the "same version" as 10E of Open EUR which is higher than which is the same as 10F of the 815T which is a higher version than 10G of some non open EUR phones...
You can install the Open EUR KDZ on the TWN version, but it will not enable to unlock your boot loader, the LG unlocked website checks IMEI and unique hardware ID to determine eligibility. You may be able to flash the US H815 but I'm not sure.

Thanks. I'm guessing there's really no point of flashing a new ROM then. Do you know the USA H815 firmware number?
Hi,
I want to upgrade my device to 6.0 Marshmallow for a while now and I've waited for the upgrade to come to my phone. Sadly, LG takes their time and I'm tired of waiting, so I want to update manually.
The problem is, my phone is D855 TWN, but the TWN version hadnt got marshmallow yet, what can I do to install EUR, for instance?
Thx!
I have a TWN version, too. I upgraded using the V30a version from Hong Kong. http://lg-phone-firmware.com/firmware-Lg+G3-Tutti-41.html. TWN and HKG versions belong to the same region.
Two months ago I I flashed the poland MM on this TWN version and had to downgraded because of so many bugs.
I need some help changing de firmware version of my phone. I updated to v30n version on LG G3 D855 from france and my firmware version changed from EUR-XX to GLOBAL-COM. I downgrade to v30b (previous version I had befora updating) and it showed I was at GLOBAL-COM firmware. Does anyone know the solution to solve that issue?
Thanks.
