Just install the APK and run Bruteforce. It may take a long time, but there is a possibility it will find an offset that allows it to root. There's no risk of brick or harm by trying, per the developer.

In the title of your thread you should put that these are tested for the "KOREAN Version Only" as to not confuse people until they are tested on the AT&T LG E980 Optimus G Pro

Most likely not. However, if you experience issues with future updates then you can just unroot using super su. That will delete all root files and your phone will then be able to do official software updates from your carrier.

I used the root exploit from the LG Optimus G from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38886073&postcount=1
I would guess they work the same way, but it allowed root after the update from a stock, non-rooted phone. If you're rooted prior to the update, it will still be rooted after the update.

I posted this elsewhere, but it bears repeating here:
Grab the drivers, DLL file and the stock image file from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...57&postcount=1
Download the LG Flash Tool v 1.5.10.1120 and the MegaLock.dll from this thread: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f177...-pass-1628819/ and follow the directions in that thread. It needs no serial and will return you to stock.

Yeah, we know. We are just making this method : ' Flash lollipop_update.zip and SuperSU.zip in Stock KK in any custom recovery.'
I remember that maybe [email protected] made update.zip but not sure.

Not stock recovery. Use any custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
I saw that Lollipop Flashing Zip is in OpGPro Android Dev forum.
You can use that.

Can anyone tell me the difference between SKTelecom, KT, and LG U+? I've long seen these distinctions and I have no idea what the differences are -- not only the differences in the devices, but the differences in those services?
Thanks!

Does this technique not work for F240s Lollipop? I couldn't seem to get it to work for E980 Kitkat, but was thinking it might work on Lollipop (as it does on the G2).
Does the sideloading the root.zip in this method also not work? This method is my go-to for Kitkat rooting, but there's no stock Lollipop KDZ/TOT for E980 yet, so I don't know if it's still valid with Lollipop (I assume not, but dunno).

Hello, i would like to give you the info. Use iroot to root the device and then follow the link below to remove Kingroot apps ... etc.
http://zidroid.com/how-to-get-ride-and-replace-kinguser-with-supersu-app/
After that, download SuperSu on Google Play and open it, update the Binaries and here you go. Rooted permanently with SuperSu.

Check post #2
I've been trying to root my F240L that I updated to 5.0.1 official for the past two days.
I can't get into fastboot, either through rebooting command from adb or through button combinations (up+power, up+down+power...).
I'd really like to install this ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/op...t/rom-specialedition-lg-lollipop-gxl-t3042328
Going crazy.

Finally found the Kitkat KDZ file. Will try flashing that and rooting. May just stick with Kitkat. Wifi signal on lollipop is noticeably degraded.

That's true. Stump root is the only other working method (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg...ot-lg-g3-sprint-verizon-t2850906/post54886594). This is what i used. I think it is simpler than ioroot.
