[TEAM *CLARITY*] The Thread Creators of the 21st Century - About xda-developers.com

Team Clarity :highfive:Get your thread up in style!
What/WHO is Team Clarity?
Team Clarity is a joint operations (well not really an operation but you'll get where I'm going at) which aims to help other users create a thread that will appeal to users! This isn't an app which generates threads for you but more of real people helping to create the thread for you! Team Clarity is made up of myself and a couple of other friends (who are not in XDA but in other forums sites who are willing to help out). You can join the team too! Look at the 'Team Up' section below!
What do you get?
Team Clarity will take about a maximum of 2 weeks once your idea and other stuff is sent (Check the 'Pre-Requisites' Section to find out more!) and then we'll provide you with a .txt file with the integrated code which just simply has to be pasted on your new thread and posted for others to see. It will contain all working links to download sites which of course you can request from us and also graphics if you ever require any of them from us!
Why trust us?
Well you're not forced to trust us and you as the user and developer have all the liberty to look at the .txt file and edit it all you want! We'll make sure none of those dumb 'Made by: ....' Ads are not in your thread and the download sites.
What Mirrors do you offer?
We have a 100GB Dropbox Account, 500GB MEGA Account, 200GB MediaFire Account and even an Android File Host Account! Choose what you want your files to be hosted under the Team Clarity account and we'll make sure we get your development file get out with no problems what so ever, Fast, Quick and Reliable.
What's the catch?
There isn't any catch whatsoever as we aim to make the Clarity Team and open and helpful thread creation team. We condone the use of violence advertisments and branding on your thread and minimise all the annoying stuff you'll find at download sites and such. Its up to you to give us credits or not and we're not gonna force you to do it because well, its annoying to us and we won't do it to you.
How do threads created by the Team Clarity look like?
Here's a sample thread that we've created based of the Xperia Performance MAX ROM by @Mah Oliveira. Take a look at it!:

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT. This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR, Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Its done, 132meg thanks moles!!
Once PA 3.+ is released, will I be able to dirty-flash it safely over 2.99 ?
Is it possible to activate support for AdHoc-networks in PA and if yes, how?
Great idea to start a new thread! Hopefully it will stay clean, especially from eta beggars.
Can't wait to get home, or even just after work. I had stock 4.2 on my nexus 7 and liked it quite a bit, mainly the pull down menus. Will be perfect with PA! Outstanding work Moles, thanks so much for creating the best rom!

Yes flash!!!
is there a custom kernel for this update with 4.2?? like franco (which i prefer) or trinity
I just wanted to thank moles and the rest of the PA team. Great job. Just downloaded the gapps and have yet to download the ROM. Also thanks for posting up the instructions. Definitely answers all of my questions coming from 2.54.
Hopefully this thread does not become a big mess like the other one did.
I just had one question, can I report any known bugs I find with 2.99 on this thread? Or should I make a separate thread for that?
Once again thanks! The RedFlagDeals Community in Canada also thanks you as well.
Edit: Not sure if this was posted in the main thread for the ROM link, but here it is for anyone who's looking for it: http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/maguro/pa_maguro-2.99-19NOV2012-003415.zip

I got the gapps and the ROM, but I'm afraid of flashing
How large is that file..pa2.99?

[ROM][AOSP][4.3.1][WEEKLY][UNOFFICIAL] CarbonRom [18/11/2013]

About ThreadThis is unofficial CarbonRom 4.3.1 compiled from Source. It will be released every week (or as soon as possible). Post bugs here.
About CarbonCarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
FeaturesSimply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com/ This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
FAQ
1) Can't mount internal and external sdcard on PC

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam works together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and it will come with time.

Please go through the ROM build up process in your mind, if you know how a ROM is built.
With that in mind, don't Tell a Developer what they should and what they shouldn't do, because, what users see is the end result that's it. Debugging ROM's, when sources are buggy is time consuming. And these new ROM's bring new features, the features aren't just lying in AOSP.
Respect Development and Developer's and most importantly have patience.
Guys, if you think a ROM is not complete, but the dev is no longer maintaining it, you have only one choice left: complete it yourself. The developers have no obligation to you whatsoever. Remember, you're not paying them (and donations do not count as payment, it only shows that you value the dev's work).
That being said:
---> thread cleaned
Let's move on, please

MOD Edited!

OP contact me when you are ready to post according to XDA Rules
Rule 12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails, you may then contact a Moderator and provide clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in the copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence that it was you who created the work, then in the spirit of sharing, all work will remain posted on the forums.
As an addition, developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by that developer. However, if the work is claimed as exclusive, it must remain as such. No selective sharing will be allowed (ie, allowing certain people to use it and not others). If the developer decides to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes available for all to use, albeit with the relevant credit displayed.
When permission has already been given, unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to major updates on the work). Under that same premise, permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under extreme circumstances.
In plain English: If you want to keep your work exclusive, go for it. However, if you are going to share your work, do it fairly.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA (including but not limited to ROMs, RUUs, apps, games, kernels, themes, icons, etc) unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.
Also note that you MUST supply kernel source to be GPLv2 compliant

CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
Install Instructions:
