LG OG Pro Stock based Custom Rom

Hello everyone,
I was wondering why no one has created a stock based custom rom for the LG OG pro yet sense we have CWM and root for the phone?

Because we gonna have to unlock the bootloader first....however i wonder if we cant flash. The original rom even with the bootloader locked?

Let me as a question....do you see Q&A at the top of the forum, or can you just not read?

Have some dignity and report your thread to a moderator to have it closed. It's bad enough we don't have any development, the last thing I need is blue balls from poorly titled and misplaced posts.

yes.. does have stock base custom rom. I'm using stock base custom rom now of LG OG Pro (korean model F240K running hong kong model E988 stock rom which was done by feiyu)

This thread is a complete mislead, it needs to be moved to the General Section.

There are custom roms my F240S had rom which was done by feiyu but it didnt have the value pack ..my bad i didnt save dat rom i updated my phone n lost dat rom...

Not sure about the bootloader but this was the built number LG F240LSK CN MOD ROM V3 By FeiYu
Software Version is F240K-10-l-MOD-Feiyu 2013

software version is just a line in a text file under /system/build.prop
so ppl just mod those apks (rooted) and then using dd command to clone those partition and make a CWM zip file
yes, you can say it is customed cook rom, but for the kernel part (boot.img), we are unable to run on LG G Pro, as the boot-loader locked and refuse to boot ...
In short, we are unable to do thing like, UV, OC, or other kernel level mod

I just install the F240LSK rom V7 by FeiYu (zip flash on my F240L) and it's just perfect for me
remove some bloatware and add some good feature
but the best things for a korean F240 like mine are :
no more annoying popup when activating data (roaming warning)
no more korean limitation for sms
no more problem to send mms
no more dial popup to a local call
and other little things
i don't know if i can drop the link of the topic here so tell me if anyone wants it

Hows ur battery on it i felt mine drained faster wen i was on dat rom but i had the V 3.. the data popup been bugging the hell out of me ever since i went stock.. pm me d link incase u not allowed to post here ..thanks

[Q] How to inställ the new kitkat update on an unlocked at&t e980 outside USA?

Hi,
i am outside USA im using an unlocked AT&T lg optimus g pro e980. (by the way go it yesterday and i love it)
i root it and use sqlitebeditor to enable tether option (this is just to explain the things thing i had done so far)
now i want to know how to install the kit kat update cuz it says that im not registered and then told me to check again in 24 hours.
someone can explain to me how to do this process if i have to install a program called freegee or something?
also i wanna add that my software version is e98010p.

You have two options.
Use LG Flash tool to flash the tot & dll file. From here..

Personally I would recommend radeonmaya's kitkat rom or the HK E988 rom(not really fond of AT&T bloatware). Radeonmaya's rom recently added knock code plus a bunch of themes and other functions. Try out the AT&T rom first though.

2.no worries. All the roms for this phone are quite big, so take your time.

yup. It's got some features added that are not on the stock E980 AT&T rom and the HK E988 rom. SLide aside, knock code for unlocking, suggestions for when pluggin on a headphone or a usb cable, more themes. Downside is the speakerphone doesn't work, if that's not a deal breaker then it is worth a try.

can you send me the links of both i cant find it
And wich one has the option of network mode swicth between 3g and 2g and 4g lte?
and wich one has tethering enable?
and better battery life cuz im just getting 15 hours at most... i know its no ok to do this kind of question, but i am a doctor and i dont have much time to download try a that kind of stuff, i want o find a daily driver.

That is the radeonmaya thread. Follow the instructions and download all necesary files. Put them ALL ON THE INTERNAL STORAGE then flash

ok thanks but how i install that! i see i have to download a ZIP file of 1.2gb and a fix pacth and flash it but below are .KDZ files what should i do with that?
and it no specify what to do with which model and i have the e980

You really need to read the instructions:
Download the flashable zip, the fix, you also beed madmacks kernel, the edited build prop and a cwm and twrp flashable zips. You factory reset
Then flash the rom, then the kernel, then the build prop file and reboot.

[Q] Can I flash ROMs of other variants?

I have recently got an unlocked F240L OG pro in India. My question is, can I flash ROMs of E980 or E988 on it? do I need to apply patches for radio/sound etc to work? or this flashing isnt possible at all? :fingers-crossed:

It's hit or miss, I've had some success but with many bugs and some very unstable. I would strongly urge you not to though because a brick or bootloop is very possible.

We do not allow recommendations of ROMs, please do not ask for any, best advice is to try them out yourself. As this is not what the thread is about it will stay open for now.

Most roms are for f240L search for xitrom v1.8 or sphinx rom and you can flash e980 or 988 rom but you should flash f240l kernel and baseband and it should have the same version of android for example if u flash e988 4.4.2 rom you should flash f240l 4.4.2 kernel and baseband but sure make a rom backup first ( btw sorry for my weak english i'm arabic )

I also have an e989 and am using Pace Plus. But you can use BeanStalk, Slim, AICP, Sphinx...
We have options. Not many, but we have options.
Forget about official stock kit kat. You will be more free if you do not install it via OTA.
Then, read about rooting your phone. Install Freegee. Install CWM or TWRP from Freegee and you're good to go.

So I came to install the Sphinx, but my 4G did not work so I went back to the stock rom, would pass me the links to these roms and how do the process of Interlocking bootloader if it exists, if not asking too much of course

The process that you need to do is:
1)Root your phone
2)Install FreeGee from play store in order to make an EFS backup and also to change the recovery to TWRP
3)Now that you are rooted and have custom recovery,Install the Rom you like most.I would suggest CyanogenMod, Vanir or Commotio.
4)Factory Reset
5)Install Google Apps
6)Install the proper modem for your model,and you will have proper 4G-LTE connectivity and your phone will sleep like a baby.I would also suggest setting the preferred network type to 3G,and reversing it to 4G only when you need to connect to mobile network,just for better baterry life.

Got it, but another doubt kkkk, the modem I can easily flash the same? these roms that have pointed me in the name something E98X? Man excuse lot of questions is that when I had a P880 was much easier since the same model worldwide and this one has many variants. Thanks for your patience.

Every rom that says it works on e98x ,will work on every e98x model except the Chinese one,which i think is the e985.
As for the modem,you have 2 options,the first is to search for it,which i don't think it will be difficult to find, and the second option is to extract your own modem and make it flashable.If you choose to extract your own,search for a guide on how to do it

Well since left the kitkat for E989 in Israel and Thailand, the installed version of israel but not appear the option of Brazilian 4G, anyone knows any resource to do that if I force it in 3845 # * 989 # depending on where I am I get no signal, I would like to leave the Brazilian jelly bean where sea A option that has 2G / 3G / 4G give your phone changes as provision of local network version.

I taked the risk and I have installed Israel KK on my E989 and works fine. The only thing that I see is that dont show any option to activate 4G, and it has English language. Hope it helps.

Já existe a ROM brasileira stock KitKat há alguns meses. Basta procurar no repositório de roms.
E quanto a roms baseadas na versão stock KitKat, a melhor disparada, na minha opinião, é a G3 Port, do bountyman. Aqui no XDA. Att.

Uhhh yea... 3 g3 roms and a couple g2's and also a g flex. So it depends on what kind you want the asian ports have draw backs and the 988 ports work great...
