Can someone with an at&t G3 tell me what it shows under ro.product.model for them please?
does it show just D-850 or LG D-850, or what?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry , I dont want to Open a new thread, so i will use this One for my question.
I'm not quite sure about the given permissions in ES file Explorer, for changing some values in build.prop
I think the build.prop permissions are ok ?! rw/r0/r0
But what about the Explorer perm. ?
Does "/" also need rw perm, or only "/System"?
Also "/cust"?
Thanks for your help ! :highfive:

You can try this if you want.
I attached the version that comes with Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and the one from Jelly Bean 4.1.2 :victory:
For install:
1° Download .zip file
2° Extract .apk file
3° Put it onto your mobile device
4° Using Root Explorer (or any other app of your preference like it) move it to system/app
5° Change permissions to "rw - r - - r - -" (Clic here for see an image)
6° Reboot
Hope this helps :fingers-crossed:

The one from JB 4.1.2 is the one coming from Note 2, just make sure that after paste it on system/app you change the permissions! then reboot.

Hi,
is it possible to enable soft buttons without having paranoid rom (or similar) installed?
I know there are several ways to activate the "onscreen buttons", but they work in a static way, and not like on the nexus 4 (buttons are hidden on some applications)
thank you

Hi guys,
Will any of the great themers here be kind enough to create a mod for the stock odexed ROMs that makes the status bar black?
There are mods available but almost all of them are for deodexed ROMs. A lot of people prefer to just have the stock odexed ROM (rooted or otherwise) and I am sure it will make their experience much better.
If it just requires a change of png's, I will be glad to do it myself if given correct directions. I am also slightly educated in terms of vrt theming. Unfortunately, as I am not from a techie background, stuff like XML editing stuff goes over my head..
Look forward to help and assistance. My current set up is LSN odexed stock+rooted..

Hi
1. decompile SystemUI.apk (dont forget frameworks)
2. edit file drawables.xml in path res\values\
for black color:
<item type="drawable" name="status_bar_background">#ff000000</item>
3. compile modifed apk
4. with 7zip take the 'resources.arcs' file of the "new" apk and copy them into original SystemUI.apk
5. place the SystemUI.apk in the path /system/app - set same premissions for new apk
Where do I put the modified system ui? Preload or system?

If you're running a JB 4.1.2 rom, it goes in preload\symlink\system\app
Unfortunately, when I tried to flash the modded systemui.. my status bar simply vanished.
Has it got to do something with the systemui in the system app folder still being odexed?

Hy bro...
i write this thread not from PC. but OPERA MINI
so..... Sorry, i cant make this thread fully detailed..
Ok. Lets go...
What you need ??
1. framework-res.apk from port rom
2. framework-res.apk from base rom
3. tool for decompile and recompile.. i use APK Manager
Simple way.
1. decompile both framework-res.apk
2. open decompiled framework-res.apk from base rom and copy arrays.xml
3. replace to decompiled framework-res.apk from port rom
4. recompile framework-res.apk from port rom.
5. finish
How its work ??
we just need change tether config.. every device have different config.. if you want to know, you can compare both arrays.xml from framework-res.apk base and framework-res.apk port.. and this should work for any ROM..
thats all..
thanks.
Thanks for the guide sir...
but i usually fix wifi problem only with flashing dhd1.1.zip file
and all work fine

Just changed bootlogo and bootanimation desapear!
1) extract the bootanimation.zip
2) copy paste it in device's System/Media folder (note: i did not find any previous bootanimation.zip file in my device -like Kitkat4.4.4 used to have)
3) change its properties to rw-r-r
4) then reboot the device..

you just flash the zip file?
After flashing the zip file via TWRP it takes much more time to boot the phone (XT1039). Even softreboot. Image is still for a few seconds and then it waits 'till the animation ends. Is it just me?
If the bootanimation is for stock roms then it'll only work for stock, if you wanna use it for custom roms then you have to change the bootanimation file in /system/bin to the stock bootanimation file, then stock bootanimations will work on custom roms
Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51652336&postcount=5

I went by and converted the video animation to image files for it to work on any custom rom, and stock.

720p @ 30FPS: http://tinyurl.com/px46n4o (Dropbox Download 40MB)
The 720p Bootlogo is in the MotoG thread by the OP.
Tested the 1080p on my OPO and the 720p version on my MOTO G (2013) and they both work fine. I'll try and upload a flashable zip later on.

Look at my post above yours, download that and change the bootanimation. No need to change /bin and stuff. I already converted it into image format.
