Bootloop - Samsung Galaxy Fame

Hi there, I have a Galaxy Fame currently in a BootLoop.
I know exactly what caused this, it was me enabling the setting for Andriod Device Manager in the Google Settings.
Rooted, Stock ROM, Stock Recovery.
Please Assist

I have the same problem with both stock and root. Running android 4.1.2. A factory reset via recovery fixed the issue for me in stock.... I have no other ideas as to what is causing this weird and annoying bug...

just, don't enable it ,,do like @itechy

I think it's caused by android device manager... But I'm not 100% sure....

This
Confirmed on two occasions with this phone: the second you enable Android Device Manager it enters a bootloop. Directly after a factory reset too.

I have same problem in my Samsung galaxy fame custom stock rom
solution-format through recovery or flash it again

I know this is an old discussion, but I'm setting up a Samsung Galsxy Chat B5330 for my mother, and after several tries I can confirm that the Android Device Manager in Device administrator MUST BE KEPT TURNED OFF because it causes BOOT LOOP in Android 4.1.2 !!!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem! If I enable Android Device Manager Lock and Erase I get a boot loop! I don't have custom ROM. Problem happened before I got root, and was still here after I got root.
EDIT: I have Android 4.1.2, it looks like other people also posted about boot loop in 4.1.2 with A.D. Manager.

1. what you did before that happened
2. things that might have contributed
3. solutions you have tried
ps; be as specific as possible
i didn't do any thing first my phone hanged for the first time then i rebooted my phone
then the apps on the sd was not appearing and I was not able to download any game to the sd
so i rebooted the phone again and the problem started
what did you do before your device stopped?
then the solutions i tried was install a custom rom aurora and repences when i installed the custom roms the phone hanged at the samsung galaxy y gt-s5360 screen
so i tried doky odin package then the phone started looping on the samsung logo again

if you are sure that you did not do anything and it just all happened then you are unlucky to have to have a factory defect phone
bring to samsung's service center
Flasing stock firmware is the only thing you can do if nothing works. And is that doesn't work too, get your phone replaced.

after flashing the stock rom, do a data wipe and cache wipe but preferably you should have done that before..
if that doesnt solve the problem, try flashing a stock kernel and reflash the stock rom

Don't you remember your stock ROM version? Just search for stock ROM version for the place you live in in Doky's stock ROM post and download the appropriate kernel from the kernel thread.

You won't get anywhere without odin. I can assure you that. Try to read the tutorial
How did you fix?
Possibly you upgrading from original Samsung ROM.
But for new version of Androids require Internal SD reformated to EXT4 (default from original android 2.3.6 is VFAT).
Not sure CWM can handle this. I used TWRP 2.8.6.0 (Twrp_v2.8.6.0-ancora.zip)
So in TWRP:
- set Factory Reset
- Install new ROM and selected GAPPS
- Reformat internal SD to EXT4
- Wipe cache/dalvik
- Reboot

Since you have twrp just flash a kernel or a new rom through twrp.
Cool thanks man. I was kinda stuck there. I couldn't get my pc to see the phone, had to wait for a micro sd card to put the kernel on. Thanks a lot

LG G3 LS990 - ZVB - Rooted + TWRP - Flash Stock Recovery Only
Hi, I am looking for flashing stock recovery on my LG G3 Sprint LS990. I believe the same method will work. I am currently running on stock ZVB ROM rooted and TWRP installed as recovery. In the download folder for LS990-ZVB http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G3/LS990/stock_partitions/ZVB, there is no recovery image file, but in ZVA folder there is. I am just wondering if I can flash ZVA folder's recovery image using Flashify to my ZVB ROM LS990 and if that will work.
My LS990 is rooted and currently have TWRP. i get secure boot error when the phone reboots after accepting Android updates installation that come automatically. I believe installing stock recovery will resolve this issue and allow to install Android updates I do not want to going back to stock completely, that will unroot my phone and again I have do all these staffs.
Anyone can help to advise, will be appreciated. Thanks.
Worked for me
It's not english, it is portuguese Brazil, but it works.

Device turns off randomly after root

Hi guys, I rooted my redmi note 8 yesterday. Everything went well except two things: on boot the error message said that "there is an internal problem" and the phone reboots/shuts down itself.
Any thoughts?

You should explain the problem obviously if you want a help, if your phone still working you should flash twerp.img to be able to root it and solve any existing problem by flashing new rom

If you still want to root it again, after flasing new rom go to twero and then go to wipe then format, you should format your phone after rom flashing, try this and inform me
Yes yes! I want to root phone once again. So the steps are these:
1) booting into twrp with adb from pc.
2) from the twrp menu wiping and formating the data
3) instaling new rom
Is this true?
Thanks!
If you want to root you don't have to install another custom rom unless you don't like the stock rom. If you like your current stock rom, then flash twrp in fastboot and download the latest magisk stable zip and also diasble dm-verity zip. Using twrp first flash disable dm-verity zip and then magisk zip, wipe dalvik cache and reboot to system, hopefully you would have root permission.

From your stock rom extract the boot.img and place it on your SD card. Flash the boot image using twrp or you can also flash in fastboot, then reboot. Now boot to twrp recovery and flash dm-verity first and then magisk zip. Worked for me I'm having root permission with stock rom.

the bootloader was unlocked. everything went kinda fine, until i flashed youtube vanced from magisk: when i did that, the system was unable to boot. i don't know what's happening. is there anything to do with kernel or something? really interesting what i am doing wrong.

I think it may be because of YouTube vanced module. If you remove the module you might be able to boot. In twrp in the advanced option select file manager and then select data/adb/magisk/ in that you will find the list of installed modules, select the one which is causing the problem and delete that folder and try to reboot.

i've tried Lineage OS too and it also has reboot issue. i've checked a thread here https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/derp-kernel-clang-4-4-138-t3804996 that flashing a different kernel when you have flashed a custom rom can fix the problem. idk if its safe to do

that thread is for redmi note 5 pro..and flashing different kernel probably won't solve it because I know few guys flashed genom kernel but still ended up with reboot in huaxing display. Maybe waiting for fix is better.
