[Q] White line under status bar on stock launcher - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

http://i.imgur.com/VklNqNt.png
I'd like to know if this white line is normal and everyone has it. Basically, it is a white line under the status bar, on stock launcher screens only, and it is not part of the wallpaper. If I set a sifferent wallpaper, it' still there. It's more evident with light wallpapers. My screen is fine: this is a screenshot, so this line is a software thing.
Can you guys, using the stock TW, try to set a white wallpaper then report results here?

Please...?

[Theme] Alternative of bluestar 5

Thanks for Stericson's Transparent Tab and Icons and Manup's Icons and Status Bar. Here are some screenshots...See if anybody wants it then I will redo a update seriously...
I change the program title from grey to black and some colour tuning for status icons, the battery icon will also show as light blue and light yellow with shadow respectively
I actually really like this. The only thing I hope you can change is the menu tab. I prefer it visible, apparently unlike everyone else. I don't like the blank gap at the bottom of the screen, and I like to see the tab to re-assure me that it's there and that I clicked/dragged it.
Hey not 2 shabby
I Want It!!!!
Out of curiosity, why do several of the menu bars have diagonal lines on them? Is this an issue with resolution? I know the Stericson's first one didn't have it, but the new one does.
That's the image. It's supposed to be there.

[REQ]White theme for ICS/JB

I tried making a white or inverted theme but failed. What I'm looking for is a stock look of either ICS or JB but have the black parts be white instead. For example, white settings, white status bar and notification area. I figured it'd be pretty easy but I was wrong. I managed to change the settings background white but the status bar stayed black. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

[Q] Is Fade and Gradient broken?

Can someone explain to me how Fade and Gradient fill styles are meant to work please? As far as I can see, neither produces results I would expect.
For example, open up the advanced parameters on a progress bar and specify the "fill mode other color" as, say, white. Then try changing the colour under the fill mode or the foreground colour - no change to the widget colour.
With Gradient fill, all I want to do is go from opaque white to transparent white but Zooper decides to get there it needs to go through yellow!
I'm either not understanding how the UI is meant to work here or these options are really busted. Anyone able to offer any help?
Example of the gradient problem is attached.

Yeah damn things been like this for a while. Shows some yellowish color for me usually. Mess with the foreground/background colors and it'll work right. Just have to F with it.
HSV gradient instead of a RGB gradient ?
I have the same issue and then googled a little. After reading these two pages "perbang.dk/rgbgradient" and "bensouthgate.com/p/12_3_13.php" (I can not post link now), I think the gradient is based on HSV and not RGB; the later seems however be more intuitive and correspond to what I imagine for a gradient from white to another color.
I don't think we can code a RGB gradient from the Advanced Parameter because some functions are currently missing.
If anyone has an idea...

How to make stock weather app on home screen transparent like it is on lock screen?

The stock weather app is fine for me, I believe it is the acuweather app. However, on the lock screen it is beautifully transparent, I'd like this same amount of transparency on the home screen after i unlock it. As of now, its transparent at the lock screen. Then, once i unlock it, it is the classic white with black lettering. Id rather it be transparent like it is on the lock screen. I am not sure how to do this.
Thanks!
Austin
Also, I did look into getting other apps however none of them have the same layout as the stock one when you click on it to see the forecast for the following days of the week etc.... So that seems to be an issue

Transparency status bar and navigation

How come HTC didn't make the status bar and navigation bar transparent like everyone else are doing after Kitkat? Am I missing something? Is there an option to turn it off?

It's transparent on the home screen and lock screen, and then changes color based on the app that you're in. It's just a design choice on HTC's part. Custom roms and/or sense 6 toolbox (when it comes out) will probably let you force transparency all the time. However, transparent status bar and white icons with no shadow or outline can make for a bad day if you pick the wrong wallpaper.

Yea when I had my nexus 5 I was basically the same way it varied between apps mainly for that reason that visibility of the of the icons would be horrible.

Oh I see, I am just asking because I am using the Google Launcher and it doesn't have transparent status/navigation like the Nexus 5 does.
