Hello everyone, I have novalauncer and I'd like to have the samsung calendar widget and music.
Having the Tab S rooted you can install the APK in a separate way?
If there where I can find the APK?
Thanks to Fabio

here u go bro...the new V2 of my SuperSamsung rom which works with all tab s versions includes the ability to use stock widgets in any launcher as well as on the lockscreen (see post #2 in the link below for a screenshot). Unfortunately...the music widget is missing the buttons (shows song title & artist) but the splanner widget works perfectly!

I have pulled some Google apps from the latest Cyanogen Mod and tried them on my SGS running Froyo (JP6). They are running fine, so I thought, I should share them with you!
Instructions:
- you can install them like normal apps (just open the apks)
- for car home you'll need to install both apks
- for the desk clock you'll probably also need the genie widget (for weather)
Bugs:
- the music tab in desk clock doesn't do anything (check the 2nd post)
Some pictures:
(BTW: I modified the first shortcut, as well as the 5th one you can choose whatever you want there)
OK, the stock music app is working, but you'll have to replace the galaxy s music app.
Instructions (with Root Explorer):
- Go to system/app and move Musicplayer.apk and MusicPlayer.odex to a backup folder (somewhere on you SD)(if it doesn't work, click the "Mount R/W" button at the top)
- copy Music.apk to system/app
- click and hold until the menu opens up, click permissions and change them to the following:
And that's it! Works now with the desk clock app (but you might want to reboot)!
It's working Thanks
All working great - excellent work!
Presumably to get the normal media player back youj ust do the opposite?

Yeah, just reverse the process.
loving the genie widget!
just a quick question, how did you get the background transparent?
here's a tutorial on how to make widget transparent http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8450650&postcount=25
I didn't make any widgets transparent What you see is what you get The first pic is car mode the second desk clock
Thanks buddy.

Edit: Used Tapatalk to access the forum and then it is able to download properly. Trying to dl via the browser was a fail however.
Thanks for putting these in a single post.
yeah thanks for these
PERFECT!!
Thanks to orig poster.
As tony tiger would say, this is gggggrrrreeeat.
or something...
Very usefull applications.
I have also installed these along with the TouchwizGTG modified launcher which lets me rotate my home page, etc.
I also installed the replacement music.apk.
Icons are appearing a little smaller everywhere now and the music player appears......to have smaller buttons etc....
Much faster though than my stock JPM touchwizza.
look nice .
What you see is what you get?
For some reason the weather gadget isn't transparent on my device.
Instead of DeskClok I recommend Alarm Clock V2:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.vp.alarmClockPlusDock
It's based on DeskClock but more configurable and the music tab works with our Galaxy S Music Application
Great trick for having music tab working!
I have clockpackage yet because of chronometer and timer, so have two types of alarm
Can someone tell me why the weather widget isn't transparent on my SGS?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks dude. I'm totally loving this!
One problem though, I have two clocks now - AOSP and Samsungs. Is it clockpackage that I have to delete, or? Thx

Bumpppp
You can just delete one of them... But I like and use both, so I keep them.
Hey guys,
I just flashed Doc's ROM (7.0.1 JPO) and added later the ProgramMonitor widget, but I can't use it... It doesn't show on my widget list.
Is there a way to use this widget without TouchWiz? If not, could someone recommend me some widget that does the same as ProgramMonitor (show the number of active programs)?
I just want to see how many programs are active, I don't want the 1-click-kill-everything-and-everyone solutions
Thanks in advance.
No. Samsung widgets must be used in Touchwiz.
I think the slim rom on Doc does not come with the program monitor, it can be used w/o the TW AFAIK unless the latest update changed that.
hi im using touchwiz 4.5 mod i want stock calendar widgets especially i need the widget that shows you the month's events on a scrollable list im using criskelo v20
TW 4.5
Where you got the TW 4.5 mod for the Galaxy S2?
Thank you.

Yes in the stock samsung roms .
If it was me i would have looked in
Google Stock bits for Galaxy S II ROMs
above this post .

TouchWiz 4.5 cannot use the TouchWiz Calendar widget because it uses a different signature than the TouchWiz Launcher. You must edit a widget yourself and sign with TW4.5 keys for them to work.

Aha, that would explain! thanks.
So Samsung did not ship a Calendar widget with TW 4.5?
Or someone hacked TW4.5 from a previous version?
I really miss that widget.
Are those keys available or is there someone capable of doing this?

I do not have the default rom anymore, but I think there was no default Google calendar in it, it was a Samsung one. And a nice one. The calendar is awesome too and it is still in this rom, but I really miss a good widget for the TW 4.5 launcher.
The Sense one is awesome, as is the Go Launcher Ex one.
I wonder how Go Launcher managed to be able to show Samsung widgets and others, that could mean it could work vice verse too, so use Go Launcher Widgets in other launchers ?

Every application is signed. System applications are signed with Samsung's id and alias (+a password) to prevent people from signing whatever apps they want with Samsung's ID.
Fr4gg0r's TW 4.5 has a lot of modifications, which needs a re-sign, thus rendering TouchWiz Launcher specific widgets, like Stock, Program Monitor, Calendar and a few others useless, unless someone signs them with the specific key that TW4.5 is signed with. Signatures must match for Touchwiz Specific Widgets to work.
If you want Samsung's id key with a modified TW launcher, use my modded TouchWiz launcher, which you can find in my signature.
thanks a bunch!
I can't wait for a landscape supported version .
Thanks for your explanation.
I would also need a way to acquire the widgets, I just found odin roms, they are not easy to extract.
Do you know of some flashable deodexed rom where the widgets can be picked from?
Thinking of all this, it is almost usefull to create my own rom .
Thanks again for your work, I have 'hit the button'
You can head over to Android development section (not original android dev). Wanam has a deodexed KI3 stock build.

Does anyone know how to port or install the sgs2 calendar widget on sgs?
As I know, it is TwCalendarAppWidget.apk
I have tried to install it via Root Explorer but when I add the widget, it shows Problem loading widget.
ps : I'm using TW4 launcher TMOBILE deodexed
I like it too. Can anyone port it to use in MIUI rom
I'm looking for samsung calendar app (which actually is the only Samsung app I really miss) to replace the stock ICS in my rom.
I don't mind if stock calendar will go away.
I'm with XWLP9 deodexed rom
thanks in advance
I'd love that too...
There are just no calendar apps that can display whole month as a widget. There is go launcher calendar and launcher pro calendar, but i want one without the launcher.

Try it out
already tried. as almost all calendars / widgets in play store.
still I'll appreciate to have my samsung calendar back on my phone
I believe it only works on touchwiz launcher. I use apex launcher and don't have the option. But on touchwiz its there.
Just wanted to bump this and see if anyone else can help the thread author and myself. Still looking around for a Samsung calendar that will work on an AOSP-based ROM.
Cheers.
i also join the request. anyone that has the Samsung stock calendar app in his rom, please upload it.
I would love the samsung calendar app.
