I tried using the "app settings" module in xposed to change just TomTom, though could not get the app working correctly whatever settings I tried. Using dual screen until TomTom get round to supporting QHD.

Camera app question

So I was messing around with my can app and just looking at settings when I noticed these two options aren't on. Naturally I tapped the icons to see if they could be turned on. Now I know there are some modes they won't work with but so far no matter what I do they went turn on. Has anyone else experienced this? I have the att variant.
Turn down the video resolution and the stabilization should become available.

Yeah I would have thought so as well but I have gone through every res setting from the UHD down to QCIF with no change so nto sure what I may be missing.
Have you tried going into settings and clearing cache and data on the camera app?

LG G6 - DashCam App which uses the wide angle cam *found* !

Hello!
I use my phone as a dash cam.
Works pretty good, but all dash cam apps I tried are using the "normal" camera and not the wide angle cam.
But the wide angle cam would be perfect.
How can I switch between the two cameras or does anyone know a dash cam app which uses the wide angle?

EDIT:
***************************************************************************************************
Solution found, it should also work with
V20, G5
Install DailyRoads Voyager Pro from PlayStore
After install go to authors homepage
On the right hand side, download APK "Pro version with wide-angle" and install it as update over the Version from PlayStore.
It works for me on the LG G6 (H870)
EDIT2:
I am not the author of this app and I am not related to the author!
I don't think the wide angle is exposed in the camera 2 API. It's unlikely that you will find a third party app that will ever support it.

Good question, looking for the same!
I have asked the developer of the dashcam app I am using.
If I get feedback I will let you know.

Does this need a sim card or internet to work? Curious because I want to run my old g4 with this but obviously its not connected to a mobile network.

You can run this app without any internet/network connections.
There is the possibility to upload videos, but no need.
I have blocked all network connections to this app via firewall.

Fantastic! Thank you
For those coming from Google: Autoguard is another app that uses the wide-angle camera by default.

Works pretty good. The dash cam app starts as soon as bluetooth is connected to car radio.
So you don't have to think about starting that app.
Playing music over bluetooth and using navigation app at the same time works without problems.

On LG-Developers website, there are libraries to use the second back-camera.
I'm using them in my app, they all work.
Is there an app that films 4:3 in full Resolution with the wide angle camera?

Has YouTube HDR Stopped Working for You? (Pixel 2 XL)

Hi,
YouTube HDR has just stopped working for me. I can still select the resolution + HDR for a compatible video, but the brightness no longer automatically jumps to maximum to cater for the larger dynamic range. It was working right up until yesterday, and doesn't seem to correspond with a YouTube update, either. It's like Android isn't detected the HDR source even though it's selected, and so HDR videos are flat and lifeless.
Has this happened to anybody else?

Using the no root youtube vanced app from here on XDA this isn't an issue if suggest migrating to it yourself just so you don't have ads if nothing else it and there is a black themed one if you're interested in slight battery savings

Press the 3 dots and when you press on resolution you should have a hdr option near the bottom of the list if it's a hdr video

I think it's important to note that although HDR may be selected (like in my case), it may not necessarily work. You'll know if it's worked for sure when the screen brightness automatically sets to maximum. Now, bright parts of the video such as lights will stand out more in contrast to the dark sections, adding overall realism to the picture. I personally think it's great, and can't wait to get an HDR OLED TV.

Google camera for Samsung Galaxy A50

Does anyone know a version of Google Camera working for Samsung Galaxy A50 (Exynos 9610 Octa core) 2019 android 9.0?

This device currently dont have camera2API support. When checked using Camera2API probe app, the highest support available is "Limited".

To address your issue, I'm going to suggest you to change the aspect ratio. It's currently 9:16, right? So, you have multiple ratios available to choose from. So, the ratio that has the most pixels is the "3:4H". This is the highest you can get on your A50. Now you get crispier photos with larger photo size. Hope it helps!
Install recent update and change camera settings.

Install recent update provided by samsung and change camera settings (set aspect ration to 3:4 H). Try using pro mode, which will give you satisfied output.

I tried latest Arnova version of gcam. While changing modes of camera, camera lens moves backward. You can confirm by seeing the movement through camera glass.
I am not sure if it is safe for the camera hardware or not.

Google it. There are many help articles for that and also, you can confirm if it works on samsung devices. Actually, I currently don't remember the command which is meant to be entered in ADB.
