Hey,
I have noticed that the LG G3 D855 doesn't have voice mate (like siri, s voice), but in the LG G3 D850, there is a voice mate!
Anyone have the answer why, and if i could install the voice mate of G3 in the D855 model?
i have it on d855...
it's on the quick toggles...
or you can find it by holding the home button and sliding it to the left.

I had this function on my stock D855P but since I have flashed some D855 roms, I have missed some apps like LG health or this voice mate. I don't really use it but is weird. I have tried to flash them and they partially works, Lg Health opens only by smart tip&health cards and this voice mate is showed on Quick toggles but when I open it says there is an update and I can't use it until update the app, I click on update but Update center says there is not any update so I can't use it =/
Voice mate version is 4.20.9 some one has another updated version??

I didn't do any root, rom ...
Maybe it's because of the language? On What language are you?
Is not about language, is about ROM version... it didn't come pre-installed on V10J but it was on my stock rom V10a for D855P.
I recover it through Titanium and now is showed and suppose to work but there is an Alert about an update when i open the app... I can't use it until update is applied but there is not any update available to download =/

Ive grabbed the voicemate files from a different rom, put them in there correct places, changed file permissions. Everything seems to be there but I get the voicemate needs to update before you can use it messsge and the LG update software is unable to find the update so it can not download it.
Google now also does not activate over a Bluetooth headset. Please help before Im forced to sell this phone.

I need help too
Today I tried again but this time I didn't restore the data files and fix permissions manually (rw-r--r--) and now is working on my v10j
just extract it on system/app then fix permissions and then reboot your device, now you can find it on quick settings or in home-ring and is not asking for update anymore.

No, I'm mexican, I use it on spanish but I think it recognises the system language because if I choose english on system phone's language then it is working on english, the same for spanish. I have not tried it on french. Maybe if you choose french and then clean the voice mate data and cache it could show you french as available.

i hope you're still around so you can reply to this. i download the zip from mega. can you guide step by step how to install? i put in system/apps and changed permission to rw-r-r but should i put them in a folder and call it voice mate? should i install first? no clue what to do here
edit: i just installed the apps found in the zip and then used link2sd and converted to system apps, restarted the phone, and the apps weren't there. but when i opened lg update center, it updated them and they work fine. thanks

Stock phone log gets clogged up with all sent and received SMS logs and I've come across many requests to remove this annoying feature. So based on information provided on XDA (I'd give explicit credits but can't find the original threads) I put together a mod that will prevent SMS and MMS from showing up in the log.
This will only prevent new messages from showing up in the log so after installing this you might need to clear your old log.
Instructions: Put the NoSMSLog_UCALG1.zip in /sdcard folder on your phone and install with Clockworkmod recovery.
I have tested this only on a Samsung Galaxy s3 with rooted stock AT&T rom including the latest update.
(This might also work without CWM by renaming file to update.zip and installing with stock recovery but I haven't tested this.)
Edit: Some have reported errors when flashing so I'm posting the apk and odex file so you can replace the files yourself with root explorer. Both files are supposed to go in the system/app folder and you'll have to mount rw permissions in root explorer.

If this mod is based on this one, this solution removes the logs which is a bad idea, and this may cause Email app FC.
You can follow this HowTo, it just set the "View by" to "All calls".

It doesn't save your choice.
It's not based on the post you mentioned (I actually don't know what method was used there), when I find the original thread I'll be sure to give credit.
I tested this and stock email app works fine on my phone.

Above method only removes it from view (and only that one time on s3) but it doesn't delete the actual log. This mod prevents sms log from showing up in the first place.

Just to clarify, this mod only prevents new entries in the log. You need to manually delete your old call log. You can test this by sending yourself a text message - it will not show up in your log.

As far as I know error 6 relates to something missing in the script and I double-checked again - the script is fine.
Which carrier are you with? Are you rooted? Do you have the latest update (UCALG1)? Which version of CWM are you using? Does it start flashing and then stop?

Well I just tested it on a different phone and got the same error but I don't have time to figure this out now so I'll just post the apk and odex files which you'll need to push to system/apps and replace the existing files. You can do this with root explorer - you'll have to mount with rw permission.
EDIT: Never mind, figured it out - It works now (script had one cr too many). I've updated the mod in the first post.
Hi, let me state right of the bat that I did a noob mistake. I rooted my [email protected] galaxy s3 and in my hurry to be rid of all the bloat ware I got click happy and deleted the calender storage process. I havent installed a custom rom so running the stock could someone get me a calendar storage apk if that is at all possible? As a newbie I'm hesitant on having to reload a stock rom all over again. Not to sure how to even do that.

No, I deleted the system app calendar storage and now of course my calendar will not work. I didnt realize all calendars use this for data. Since I was installing a non stock calendar i deleted it thinking it was just part of the stock calendar.
If someone would be so kind to just give me that as a apk i'd be set and wouldnt have to flash a stock rom and start all over again.
Just not ready to flash a custom rom till i get service activated on the phone with a new carrier.

Yes I wont argue that. I screwed up by not doing a backup first. Easy mistake deleting the calendar storage and not a big impact. But would be nice to fix if anyone could be so kind to help

I'm after the calendar storage stock process its a system file not a d/led apk. I think if you used titanium you could just back up this process and I could restore it the same way cant remeber the full name of it but just look for calendar storage

Found it in TiBu. The backup for that actually consists of two files, one of which I named for you earlier. It is the "SecCalendarProvider.apk" and the accompanying .odex file. If you're still on stock, you can drop both into /system/app and make sure it has "rw-r-r--" permissions for both.

I have made a similar misttake. Does anyone know the name of the touchwiz calendar widget. After rooting my phone with the stock rom and touchwiz as the default launcher my calendar widget disappeared from my app drawer. I do not even know what it is called. Just find your stock rom, go into the zip and find the apk you need. Copy it to your system/app and reinstall.

calendar not working - deleted calendar storage etc
I also had the same problem and tried installing the file you provided. It is clearly there but I cannot install it using ES File Explorer. I gave it the permissions you mentioned but to no avail. I am out of my wits already. I even tried flashing a stock rom just so I can get this thing back but I cannot even do that either. I am about to cry...I am so frustrated with my phone! PLEASE HELP!

I could really use the SecCalendar_Namerica.apk as well as the calendar provider along with both of the odex files. I deleted them like an idiot. PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

4.2.2 uses another folder called sdcard0 to store your pictures. if you want all your data back, move your data from sdcard to sdcard0 after the installation of the rom.

check somethins below
default camera path is /storge/emulated/0/dcim/Camera
if there are pics,they will show when you open gallery
for other pics
open gallery and click Local images,there are your images.
my phone can find all pics in /storge/emulated/0/
such as music ,for me everything works
maybe u need to wipe sdard? really do not know,wait someone else to report
mount point is the same as AOSP 4.2.2 RC20

- rom is a bit lag with defaut setting.
- have no google play so it is a bit unconvinence. is possible to add it back.i extract the phonefly.apk from another 4.2.2 rom, put it in system/app, fix permission, but can open it.it close immediately after lauching
- some chinese apps i dont understand, so i uninstall them.the weather app just for china, so i cant use it too
- some apps i restored using titatium backup, after reboot, it is gone @@ dont know why
- the rest of rom is awesome.

you need the gapps for 4.2.2 then you can use google play...just download and flash the zip from 4.2.2 gapps in recovery

this rom is most build for chinese,some one others may like to do some mod for this rom?
- i have disabled GPU_OC and use smartmax as default,maybe next version,GPU_OC will back,u can flash other kernel but must with repack
- maybe u can try AOSP ROM's Gapps flash zip,but haven't try
- i just add two apps in /data,u can easily remove theme,some apps just have chinese is MIUI's problem, i use all miui official apps
- don't know why,MIUI anti app installed to sdcard,maybe it's the exactly problem?
anyway， i will try to fix these problems in some days,but i may start other sense5 miui 4.2.2 port project,so, this rom may not update very quickly

if you, like me, prefer the Motorola camera and gallery apps over the AOSP ones on custom ROMs, then you might've been as upset as me when Motorola updated the apps to Material design but kept the old icons on Lollipop.
So here's my attempt to fix this, ready for flashing on CM12
This MIGHT also work on stock lollipop but make sure to delete the MotoCamera2 and MotoGallery2 (or whatever they're called, I'm not using stock) folders in /system/app before flashing, since I'm not sure they'll be replaced.
I simply took the icons from the Internet (AOSP version) or from a Gapps package (Google version) and replaced them in the apps' apk files.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download the file on your phone (DUH?)
Reboot to recovery
Flash it (DUH?)
???
Profit!
If you want advanced settings (the ladybug icon) to be unlocked edit the build.prop's line "ro.build.tags" from "release-keys" to "test-keys".

I'm not sure if I can use these. I'm currently using a Boost Mobile Moto G running a CM 11 Nightly Rom, Android 4.4.4. Do I have to find a custom rom with lollipop or something or can I just flash these?

They work fine in 4.4...
I don't know if its required but I took them out of their folders and just placed in system/app/

Well I'm no expert, just tested them on my xt1031 running cm11 and reported for others...
Not so sure about GPE... I want 5.0 too but not sure if I can convert mine. I did try testing the soak test and they worked fine on that of course. But I had to go back to cm11 due to no network.
All I can say is take the risk and try it... I'd say try flashing the OPs zip since they're organized the Lollipop way, and also contain the libs which you may need in order to run on GPE...
Backup before in case they dont. Good luck if they do work then report for others

You're right, maybe I should just try... The problem, however, is that there's still no working recovery for GPE 5.0.1, so I don't really know how to make a backup :crying: ... I might try the APKs with no libraries first, and maybe I'll try the zip when there's an available recovery.

I'm using these with GPE 5.0.1 without any problems. TWRP works just fine as well, just make sure you have enough free space in /system before flashing
I have no space in the system folder how I can get more space.

Wow, thanks for all that info!!! I decided to go on a limb and try Philz (the one I like the most) made my backup and flashed the zip. The camera showed up and everything, but the gallery is nowhere to be found ... I checked using my root explorer and found the MotoGallery folder inside system but still the app is not on the menu and it's not usable.
Do you guys have any idea why this might be?
I was also wondering about the system folder space, where can you actually see how much you have left? I thought the space for everything was shared

You can delete apps from /system/app like Play Books, News and Weather, Play Movies, all of the apps you can install from Play Store, but you have to be rooted

You probably have no free space as well, you can check with Root Explorer or Partitions info or any app that lets you check system
Will they be updated from play store or do you need to make a new zip everytime a new version comes out? Thinking about flashing this on my gpe 5.0.1
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 SM-G160 China version and it did not come with google play services. I tried to install Google play services manually, however it crash whenever I try to open any Google app such as maps, play store, gmail, contact, Etc.
International firmware is not released yet for this phone model.
Can I install other Samsung phone model firmware such as the Galaxy S7 firmware to this Galaxy Folder 2?
Or
Is there anyway for me to install Google play services and its app and run it flawlessly?
This phone without Google play services for me to sync my data is practically useless for me.
Please help!!!!!

Everything about this phone is good however there is no normal headphone jack. Samsung provided with one micro-USB headphone jack.
So anyone can help on how to install google play services yet?

Hi, somebody from Vietnam has posted a video in Facebook showing how it could run Google Play Store and even successfully downloading an app from it. He doesn't write the steps in details, and I don't speak Vietnamese so I don't have any idea but from what I've seen basically you'll need to root the phone, install FlashFire, grab a zip file from opengapps and several superSU zip files and install them. Then you'll need to manually give the permission to those Google apps in settings

Hello there, the main thing of that Vietnam video is that the guy did not just root the device. He write entire rom for it. That being said, i managed to contact him and got the rom.
There's some issue like you can't send SMS at all (receiving is fine).
If you guys have no issue over it. Just drop me a pm

Hey guys, after going through the video mentioned, I tried my luck in flashing gapps micro onto my SM-G1600 using flashfire, wipe data on recovery, copied the latest Play Services apk into system/app after restore, clear cache of Google Play Services, and Play Store is finally working! Embeding a picture as proof. If any gurus here could guide me on dumping the ODIN file or flashable ROM, I could at least provide some help here.

I'm more interested with what you did to achieve that. Did you manage to do it with stock rom? Can you write the steps in details?

Yea, I did it on the original ROM, it was rather complicated though, but now I'm actually encountering notification delays on messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Messenger, the system kills off those background apps in a while.

Yea, I'll write the steps later in the day, stay tuned, its complicated but it worked for me.
Sorry for an out of topic post, since this phone is only released in China, we are probably doomed if the battery fail until someone starts selling the battery which is by the time I post this, it is only available in Taobao (no ebay, no amazon, no aliexpress). And the delivery fee is outrageous, even if you're in a country in South East Asia near China (up to 300 RMB for 2 batteries)
So I did went into a local phone mall, and tried to look for an alternative. So if anyone curious, the battery can be replaced with type B150AE (the one for Galaxy Core i8260). However, even if the dimension is more of less the same, you need to do a small modification. Which is adding a bumper on bottom part (doable with thick cellotape) and cutting a bit of plastic on top part. The shopkeeper done that for me. And after that he put it on my Galaxy Folder and voila, the phone works like normal. And I'm currently using it for Mobile Hotspot.

Thanks! I'll wait for it! I already have quite a lot of data on this phone, so I probably will try a method that is using the stock rom first. For notification delays, just in case, is the auto-run setting for those apps already enabled? The setting is only found when you are finished installing the APK. It is nowhere on the setting menu.

SMS is not working but that's fine for me. I use whatsapp most of the time anyway.
