I have app SlideIT installed. And I go to market and download and install theme, but nothing change!
In app settings doesn't have theme options..
Please help!
Hi everybody. I am trying to make a new CM9 based rom. The design is quite amazing. I am using a great themechooser theme.
In CM7, If I wanted to set the default theme of a ROM I had to...
1. Decompile the theme, go to AndroidManifest.xml and copy the theme ID.
2. Go to build.prop and modify two lines adding the theme name and the theme ID (step 1)
3. Add the theme to system/app
In CM9 I tried to do the same but I cannot see those lines in build.prop. Those lines just don't exist!!
There are a lot of threads in XDA with the same doubt but any of them solved.
I hope a bright mind can solve my problem
THanks in advance.
UPDATE: I have exactly the same thing with CM10....

I've not themed CM7 but I didn't have to edit the build.prop for my CM9 theme, just the manifest and strings.xml.
What he means is he wants to make a theme a default for a ROM. Not make a theme himself. So in CM7 you could set a theme e.g touchwiz as default and then whenever anyone installed your ROM they would have the touchwiz theme as default but I'm not sure if you can do the same for CM9 mate sorry. Probably need to theme framework files yourself

i have a flashable zip of 4.3 pure ota update. i've downloaded the quick setting mod and nexuslouder mod.
i search for a black themed mms.apk with a quick reply. ayone know if there is a new version out? can i extract the mms.apk from cm for example and apply on stock rom?
there is a stock rom modded with adding only the theme chooser?
Theme chooser requires integration into the ROM framework. I don't think you can just flash it.

He's not asking for a flashable theme chooser, he's asking if there is a ROM with only the Theme Chooser..which unfortunately I don't think exists either.

There was one that was basically stock, with a few minor options. I think it was called Crossbones.
You could also look into Xposed Framework mod, which I think has TC abilities.

u can't use softkeyz with a theme ... you first need to set the theme to default... and then apply the softkeys via the app..., if you want to add your own softkeyz to the theme... you need to edit the apk...

SoftkeyZ can't working with Cm11 because systemUI.apk not in system/app but in system/priv-app. U can add it manually, extract the SystemUI.apk and place ur own theme.
