Hi, my issues with my sensors are the following.
Accelerometer not moving, ( stuck )
Proximity sensor won't read
Gyroscope fails on the test done via *#0*#
Its like they all have wrong data, i tried mostly everything, stock restore doesn't help
Im willing to try anything, any help is very appreciated, i even tried taking out the sensors folder from another Note 3 N900T and it said i had no permission and gave error also,
Advice or help please, im desperate, been like this for a while.
If someone can push it out with ADB and make it flashable would be even better

Don't remember if it was a software installed or i deleted something by mistake, i saw few post about EFS, i did back up efs on nb4 and did restored modem on ne6 , i tried most easy steps, but now an expert on force calibration or sensor files replace might be the option but im no expert
You have a custom recovery? Have you tried a full wiping including internal sdcard? Just earlier today i flashed a mod to get optical reader working and the version i flashed ended up overwriting a few lib files.....next thing I know my sound isn't working....i was able to look through the zip and see which libs it wrote and took the original files out of the rom zip I'm currently running and got my sound back. My long point is that you may need to really wipe your phone down then odin stock rom.

Also where is the location of the sensors folder you mentioned?

Is not dust i tried lol, its just not reading at all, its like all my sensors are in 1 single set up value and it won't read nothing else, like my gyroscope and accelerometer won't even move nor nothing
I am having the same problem. I was running Darth Stalker and one day all of my sensors stopped working. I have tried everything I can find on the Internet. I very rarely post but I really want this fixed.

Hello, well here i have been searching for over a year and reading the forums as well and getting more and more frustrated and need a straight forward answer from some one.
Issue 1 i would like to have a custom rom on my phone BUT and a big but it is, that the signal not be reduced in Any way i would not even settle for 1/2 db loss. from what i have been reading the biggest problem is screwing with roms that change the modem file. (am i right?) basicly what i would like is to have a stock android rom (vanilla) like cleanrom, but have my phone signal absolutely equal to my stock, of course if it got better which i don't expect it to, i wouldn't object to that.
Issue 2 How can i back up my current modem on my phone, i have yet to find any info how to do this step by step, or even find a true stock modem file from telus.
Issue 3 Is there a way that if i screw everything up and get no signal or less signal, a way to truly back up the entire phone so i could revert back to the way i am now 100%? ( an example would be if i had a computer and had made a image and burnt it to a cd if i screwed up the computer i would just reload the image and i would be back with every little crum of data from when i made the image). From what i have been reading it seems like most all backup of the current state of a phone don't include 100% everything, am i right or wrong?
Issue 4 Is there any true stock android (vanilla) rom out there ie. not something that someone other than google has made?
Anyway, accept my appreciation in advance for your help, maby i am just stuck with the stock telus offering but i am hoping for some enlightenment.
Oh and one more thing before i go one of the main things about stock that is really ticking me off is outgoing or incoming mms messages that are just pictures show up as a slide show, from what i have read feature.xml has a setting that i can add to fix this BUT i don't have feature.xml on my phone, do i have to download it somewhere and if so i have seached high and low for it and nothing plus is there a specifically formatted feature.xml for telus I317M?
Once again thanks in advance!
There are numerous custom ROMS that do not touch or include a MODEM, so there is nothing to mess-up as it relates to your signal strength. Your only concern needs to be selecting the correct kernel and ensuring you have your EFS partition (containing your IMEI) backed up.

Using ClockWorkMode to create a NANDroid backup and (if needed) restore using a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM is the process you are asking about. THis will fix a soft-brick.
A hard brick...is another story.

Vanilla, would be something like the "plain/boring" interface that comes with the Nexus4. This would NOT have TouchWiz. Your S-Pen will no longer work as there are no drivers for it in the Vanilla interface. It was Samsung that wrote the drivers for the S-Pen and implemented the functionality for S-note and the gestures. Also, the integrated Wacom screen would be useless in the Vanilla interface until someone adds something to the Vanilla configuration that Google deployed (didn't you say you only wanted Google's version?).

I believe your i317M has it too. Most of the good stuff is tied into your CSC anyway, so it's not worth the effort to mess with that. I'd spend the time to play around with the build.prop instead.

Your easiest option is to simply root your Stock ROM and debloat the carrier bloatware. If anything goes wrong, you can always use ODIN to flash the stock firmware (and not lose anything in the process).

I use Telus Note 2 so I'll answer your questions based on my experience.
1) I don't notice signal differences. I've used stock roms, modded touchwiz roms, vanilla android, and I don't notice a signal difference. That being said, I don't check my signal because it's not as important as you finding it important. I don't think an issue at all.
2) Just make a nandroid backup after rooting your phone. Rooting won't change your modem. In TWRP recovery, you can nandroid backup with the modem. Also, some custom ROM threads, e.g. JEDI or Cleanrom have TELUS modems in the original post. You can flash that if your modem is changed (and as above poster mentioned, a lot of the ROMs don't even touch the modem anyways)
3) Nandroid (after rooting). You could also download the stock rom that you are on at the moment on www.sammobile.com (whether it's 4.1.1 or 4.1.2)
4) I don't know what you exactly want. CM? SlimBean? Clairfy please.
Also, I don't use MMS so I can't tell you. But you could always try a custom ROM to see if that helps. I use CleanRom 5.0 myself right now and it's been working fine.

Mobile data? Have you checked you apn settings?
Sent from my phone
I live in the sticks, haven't touched my modem files at all (running ProBam) but I recently noticed that while I can send pix as attachments to texts, I cannot receive them. If someone tries to send me a pic, nothing happens. I have tried probably a hundred different APN name settings, nothing seems to make a difference one way or another. There are approximately seven trillion results if you do a Google search on the subject, with just under seven trillion different 'answers'.
As for the modem files themselves, I have never touched mine (other than to back them up) and I am running the MA3 modem on my Telus phone. One thing I have noticed is that I never get LTE, not even when I go to the city where it is, but... Otherwise, I can't complain about the speed. I would be more curious about battery life and wi-fi speeds when it came to modem files, there is a chance that the older modem would work better for people in the sticks.
Hey Guys, I'm using Clockwork Mod and flashed 4.4.2 in this thread posted by Zen Arcade:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2-att/development/rom-att-i317-ucucne5-mj4-stock-odex-t2802189
Everything seems to be working fine, except the camera won't work. Every time I launch the camera it says "Camera Failed to Start". I saw one other person had that issue, but didn't see a resolution to their issue and I can't reply to that thread (maybe cuz I don't have 10 posts yet?).
I tried a different camera app, no dice. I tried wiping and re-flashing, no good. I tried restoring the old version of my camera app and gallery apps from titanium backup, but that didn't work either.
For what it's worth I also tried flashing the latest version of DN3. but couldn't get wifi working on that one.
I feel like it's my Bootloader that's the issue, but I can't figure out how to upgrade it.
Anyone able to help?

Flashing I317_ODIN_UCUCNE5_BL_TZ.zip via Odin did not fix the camera. It still fails to load.

Hi there -
I recently bought a D851 LG G3 from someone who told me they had rooted and unlocked it using PurpleDrake, but otherwise had left it as stock. I like the phone quite well overall, but the oversharpening on text was really bugging me. I noticed that there's a thread with a fix for that (here) and figured I'd try it out.
First, I installed TWRP using the TWRP Manager app from the Play Store. Second, I rebooted into TWRP and installed the .zip file for the Sharpening Mod. All seemed to go okay -- I got to the part of the Mod asking me for sharpening level, and it finished successfully -- but when I rebooted the phone, it's stuck in a loop where it shows the LG logo for a few seconds, then reboots. Being the bonehead that I am, I forgot to backup the existing ROM before I did this.
So that leaves me with two questions:
1. How do I get the phone functional again? I was happy enough with the previous ROM and am not necessarily looking for a custom ROM, but if there's one that's very stable and that people recommend, I'm open to that. I'm hoping to get Lollipop on the phone once LG releases it, so I'd like to avoid doing anything that will interfere with that.
2. Did I do something wrong when trying to install the Sharpening Mod? I'd really like to get that issue fixed...without screwing up the phone in the process.
Thanks!
Uh oh... Flame on?

Why's that? I did some searching before posting this request -- hadn't seen a way to restore without losing root. If that's the only option, then fine, but I was hoping to see if there's a way to avoid having to re-root it. And I think the question of what ROM to use (Stock or if there's a Custom one that's stable and popular) so I can update to Lollipop when it comes out isn't unreasonable.
Also, even if I do have to go back to Stock and re-root, I was asking if I did something wrong in applying the Sharpening Mod -- so I can fix that issue properly next time. Again, my search didn't show any obvious answer to that question.

Try just reflashing a kernel if u have one on either ur phone or SD card. If u don't, download one onto ur PC (skydragon kernel would be my suggestion), boot into recovery, mount ur phone as MTP device, copy kernel to SD card and then flash kernel.

It should not. When I flash the TAR file, all my application data, including pictures and videos, remains.
The only reason that I hesitate in answering you is that I don't feel like I have a complete understanding on how your phone got locked in the first place.
Hopefully all your data is still there now. Flashing the TAR file won't do any harm.

hey everyone
so i flashed lineage os 7.1 on my zuk z2 and everything was working perfect
after that i tried aicp 13.1 nightly and it was also working flawlessly but problem arrived as i used the gcam port for hdr+ in snapdragon 820 devices, initially the camera worked fine and everything was working normal but suddenly after some time whenever i opened gcam my phone hanged and then went into fastboot mode itself(the notification light is on ) and after i rebooted the phone it went into bootloop.
then after doing too many reboots finally my phone started and i changed the rom as i thought it might be a rom problem but in every rom whenever i tried to use gcam or even whatsapp default camera my phone suffered the same problem every time so i reflashed the stock zui firmware but the problem still persists as whenever i uses my stock cam or any other camera my phone goes into bootloop
when i searched the web i wasn't able to find a single thread related to my problem
really worried
please help
any help would be appreciated
*sorry i'm a noob to all this flashing etc*
also the bootloop occurs only after using the camera otherwise everything works fine
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE HELP URGENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very strange issue. Dont know why that happens to you.
Which camera are you using? Try BSG port, v1a. Im using it and it works great. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ubVpPrrZRkvVPH9qT7XzlttwcCVPxUcM/view?usp=sharing
Also try this, which i did also. Flash with qfil ZUI Oreo 243 version, you have thread for this, Jintu jose is OP.
It didnt lock my bootloader, and it didnt encrypt my phone memory.
Flash TWRP
Flash latest AEX Oreo
Flash GZR gapps
Magisk (you have to do it two times, once when u install rom, let it boot, than again flash in recovery)
Install google camera i posted and try.
This setup is working great for me.
I've tried every possible version of gcam but it happens always
Now the main problem is that I can't even use my stock camera app as whenever camera opens it goes into bootloop
I've flashed the stock ROM using qpst tool
But the problem persisted
Can anyone please tell me what should I do?
Is this a problem with my kernel?????
What should I do?
I am currently using aex latest version ?
Thanks for the reply but please help

I have the same problem the camera only works on the stock Android 6, maybe someone will find a solution for the guarantee it's impossible to hand over the phone purchased with AliExpress.
Hi, i have a similar issue with my ZUK, i have changed ROM, and after flashing it went to constant bootloop. i thought it might have been an issue with the rom, so i flashed again, but the problem stayed. Phone started and gapps were installed ok. It worked well for a bit and then it went to bootloop again (last time was when i switched from camera to video). I have formated data, to start clean, flashed rom again, but this time it got stuck on the ''android'' logo and doesnt seem to go further. Phone is recognisable by my PC and i have access to internal memory.
I have same problem now ...nothing working for me ..please help

Yes, unfortunately it turned out that the battery has been damaged and that was just nit enough voltage to startup the phone, I have replaced the battery myself for cost of approx 15 usd. It is very easy to open the phone ad replace it, as all tools are included with battery, you just need a hairdryer to melt the acrylic tape holding the glass back of the phone.

Sir but in my case I can go to twrp recovery easily, without any issues.
After your battery replacement the phone was back to normal self, i.e the room you previously installed was working without any issues?
Or did you had to use qfil and start from stock 2.5 zui and then re unlock bootloader and install twrp and custom ROM?
