open phone app~~~> menu~~~>Edit Tabs~~~>move Favorites to top

Not exactly. This rearranges the tabs when you are in the dialer.
What I am trying to do: when i tap the dialer / phone icon on the home screen, it should open to the favorites tab, not the tab that shows the number pad.

Doesn't make the tab the default tab when opening dialer app. Only rearranges the order.

Tweaksbox doesn't have that option yet either. As of now you can only default call log. I've asked about favorites and I was told it's in the works.

[Q] Removing or switching apps from lower bar

Hi, I want to know how can I change or switch the lower apps like the original rom "message" app to let's say "Handcent" and from "mail" to "Gmail".
thanks...
I'm running Epic Venom Rom
Open app drawer, then press Settings (soft button) > Edit. You may be asked to switch, so do that if prompted. You can now change the lower 4 (or 5) icons to any installed app.
Is this what you're talking about?

How can i remove lock screen dual clock

Anyone can help me to remove the lock screen dual clock. I am using Korea version F400S
Maybe you need to enable lock screen widgets in the settings menu?

Thanks, heres what the linked post instructed.
1) download that app from the play store
2) set your language to english and your location to your desire.
3) install the app
4) search "clock" under the activities tab
5) under the roaming icon, there should be a "Roaming dual clock". tap into it.
6) tap "Try" then select "disable"
7) simply press back without creating the shortcut
8) select "Roaming clock settings"
9) tap "Try" again, and uncheck both ticks
10) press back again and you're all done.
Thank you for the info, it worked perfectly

I downloaded the QuickShortcutMaker but when i search I can't find "roaming dual clock"? I only get the "clock", can anyone please help..
Wow, that seems like alot of work. This is what I did... not sure if it gives the same effect, but works for me on a F400L
Settings > Global roaming > Roaming Time Settings > Use roaming dual-clock (untick this)

Hello guys, thanks for the solution on how to remove the dual clock the app works perfectly I can finally remove it. Now I have another question, if you have the korean version or the 400s versions, if you go to your calendar app you will see that you have some korean holidays, I haven't been able to find how to remove those, i went to account and sync and I cannot remove korean holidays. So I went to QuickShortcutMaker app, under activities I clicked on calendar and went to setting, I unchecked korean holidays but when I go back the app crashes. Is there any other way to remove that??
I appreciate it. DONT WANT TO SEE THOSE KOREAN LETTERS!!!!!
This works a lot better...and easier I must say
Hi guys, I tried all the steps listed on this thread, however when I go back to the lockscreen, it shows the same dual time. Any ideas why?

Did you disable both "roaming clock setting", and "roaming clock". For me all the settings are under T-Roaming(F400S). Depending on your model it might be different.
Sorry to write here after long time, but if you google about 'How to remove dual clock' you easily go here.
I made an app to salve this problem.
Currently made for F240s on 4.4.2 (LG G Pro).
Please, if you have an imported smartphone with dual clock, send a report and I will ADD support for your smartphone too.

Thanks, Ivan
Soon Dual Clock Remover will be updated at version 1.0.2 with support for LG G FLEX 2 (LG F501L)
[update already sent at google playstore, waiting him to publish]
Thanks at the user who sent me the log.

What if previously I deleted that roaming app (rooted)??
Now I can't create a shortcut to disable it...

Enable S5 Grid UI in settings

I was playing around in SqLite Editor, and I stumbled upon a way to enable the grid UI in settings.
What I did was open SqLite Editor, found Settings Storage, then into Setting.db, then into System, found "settings-gridui" and change the value to "1"
I have the S5 found Note 4 and the setting menu as as a grid was pretty cool and to get it back on the Note has made me love this phone even more.
Try it out and let me know if it work a for you all as well.
Thanks for the find! Trying out now
I hate the fact that if you change it to like tab view or something, you can't go back in

Sweeeet! I lived off of Shurling Dr
Wow wouldn't have thought I would see somebody that stayed in Macon, let alone East Macon. I used to stay on Knightsbridge Rd.

I'm also looking into how to get the UI to stick for the addition lockscreen options that's available. Once I can get them to remain optional after a reboot, I'll post a couple of screenies and some instructions:good:

Lol is this why you asked about the sqlite editor?
Grid view can be permanently enabled with xml edits. It will also give you the view options you are looking for so you can change views whenever you want. You decompile SecSettings and edit the appropriate xml file (can't remember exactly which one unless i'm looking at the files, sorry) to enable grid view and disable tab view. This combination will allow you to switch between the two views with the menu button. However it won't let you use tab and grid settings at the same time for some reason... only list and grid or list and tab.
What you are doing is editing the settings.db file which is fine but if you do a reset it will be lost.

Great find, I'll toy around with it and see what will come of it. Thanks for the info and instructions
Decompile SecSettings.apk
Look in res/values for bools.xml
I believe you will find the setting in there... i'm pretty sure.
Just remember that you can only set one of them to true. If you set grid and tab both to true, it will not work.
Save then recompile and push it into your priv-app folder then set permissions and it will stick.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Love it.
Can someone cook up a flashable zip to do all the work for everyone?

I don't you are running stock or custom, but I've been working with @bri315317 over at Dynamic Kat and his rom actually not only has this optional, but also 11 lockscreen effects to choose from. Check it out

Activity Launcher

tap icon>activity>all>settings>knockon- change screen tap option
tap icon>activity>all>settings>settings utilities>change properties>TMO, confirm- brings up oem unlock/lock option in dev options
Ran into this little app, and because of others posts, I know you can do the 2 above things with it. Free at google play.
My question is do others know any other goodies that would be beneficial? Things VZW has disabled or hidden, LG things I might like to use.........
LG G4 VS986/13B, non-rooted
You can use activity launcher to run the call reject settings and block calls which Verizon stupidly disabled.

Yes. It's not very obvious. Just open up your task manager. Press and hold on the app Icon on top of the window you want to split screen and another menu pops up with the option. From there it's pretty muchh the same as before.

Maybe I'm missing something, but are you all saying you can open the same app twice by opening it once in split screen and the opening it a second time in split screen? Because I just tried this with Chrome and LinkedIn, and they both crashed when I tried to open the second instance of the same app.
That is, I opened chrome, hit the button to bring up the open apps list, converted chrome to open in split screen, then tried to open chrome a second time from the app list on the open half of the screen, and it crashed. The same thing with the LinkedIn app.
Are you saying there is a way to open the same app twice?
Thanks,
Joe
