Does anyone know what the hex code is for the Google Now background (grey).
Thanks,
just make screen shot and use any Graphics program to find it out. Seriously, it's not that hard.

I like your theme, can you upload? thanks
yes. would like to know that as well. I tried to use white background and those text color from HTC home is unreadable.
there are some entries on registry; I tried to change them pointing to a specific font on windows dir, but no success.
nevertheless, since my version don't have the tab entry on registry, I don't know if it is reading settings from registry...
Try yourself to see what you get and please report.
that would be interesting.
cheers

Does anyone know where to set the color / background of the white music library menu ?
I've managed to isolate most of the visual manila properties but cannot seem to locate the file that fills the background.
By now my hunch is that it's an inverted version of the default tab backgrounds.
I've searched for hours all over the place but i couldn't find an answer for this part of the background.
Can somebody help me out?
thanks
here you are
edit: sorry i didn't read the question correctly it is manila file 0d1412f9_manila
happy skinning!

That's what I thought at first as well.
But somehow if I replace the file with a grey one it doesn't change the background
I have attached the grey filled manila file i copied to my device.
I used the mode9editor which does a great job with the normal background 4 all tabs without any hex editing.
do you have an idea what is going wrong?
hmmm... I am am clueless..... sorry... maybe it is unetitable....

WHen I use the background for all tabs the '3d' grid part of the music library does disappear but the background stays white
maybe that is a preset..... yes it could be....
i think htc has coded it to have a white background and invert the tiles.....
that is the only way i can think of...

I have to confess.. I haven't checked the lua scripts yet.
But did dissect all mode9 files in search for this element..
I think i did it!!!!!!

0d1412f9_manila
it should work....
i can't believe it
lol i think if found it out
try it and then tell me results
I tried that one.. to make the side (where yours is black) grey and also the whole pic black..
I tried yours just now.. but doesn't work either
do you use the touchHD or the X1?
can you zip your manila file that worked to just be 100% sure I don't mess up while creating the manila file.
Touch HD
hmm.... i was sure that was it.... hmm.... i'll look some more....
now i am depressed :-(
don't be depressed
can I have your 0d1412f9_manila file to double check
I don't have the file as i am at work on a mac.
you will have to replace it in manila editor or Mode9 editor

I mean, for example, if I was to make the active text fields black background, and the font white as you're typing, that'd be awesome.
Does anyone know if there is that functionality in theming? Possibly an XML file
(or smali?)

it depends on the build..... Samsung loves to change the framework folder..... The text field would be in the tw/framework-res folders as a luster of .png's.... Im pretty sure the font color would be an xml..... I could be wrong or right, still depending on the build number....
I think it's possible, but it'd take a lot of trial and error

Which file do you change in CM/AOPK? I can trace the file in LSJ.
Sorry, it's me again with another question.
Is there any possibility to change the text colour in System? I mean in preferences Menu. I've used the search function here of course but couldn't fina a link that fits for my Arc S.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings
Most things can be changed, you just need to figure out which xml needs editing such as the colors.xml.

Click the second link in my sig and have a read, you need to decompile the apk first then you can edit your xmls. Or use "Virtuous Ten Studio", makes finding colours a lot easier as the colour is displayed under the hex colour code.
