Like the title says...is there anyway to get more weather conditions for zooper? I noticed there is no condition for fog day and night? Any help would be great!

I modified the configuration file for that. I can send it to you or you can go in the configuration file from the sample icon set and change it around. Fog, Haze, and other ones are in there. They are under one icon, but can be separated. Just male sure you put the modes in there.

Hey man, thank you! Sorry I was busy yesterday couldn't reply....is this zip file setup for them separated? All I would like to do is be able to drop my images properly named in or replace the ones included....not sure how to code it like you are saying it needs.

No need to code anything if you use the configuration file I linked. It's all setup for drag and drop for your images. It follows zooper naming standard. So just change the title name inside the configuration file to match that of your weather name. Drop images inside the icons folder overwriting the old ones. Zip up, naming the zip file what you named it inside the configuration file. Profit. ...

That's correct. Just name it all correct, including the PNG image.

looks pretty friggin good to me man. Is there a .cab file you can put together for this?
Putting the final touches on it as we speak

I was able to get the TestUIPlugin to work and update in realtime. I used mortscript to get values from "weather watcher mobile", which is free. Currently, you run the script, it loads weather watcher, copies over the forecast data, updates the registry entries for testuiplugin, updates the plugin, and closes weather watcher in the background. It's not very elegant right now, because it uses mortscript. Maybe someone can write a standalone exe based on my work.
Here's what it looks like right now. Any ideas to improve the layout ?

I was wondering the same thing as Pudge. It may not look exactly like you've mapped it out in your head...but it looks pretty darn good to me. A .cab would be great, Organic.

One question... This won't somehow change our home layout to the CHome Slim, will it? I like my festively plump slider panels the way they are! lol I just want the weather .cab.

Haha! fesitvely flump? I thought i was the only one who used that term!
Hahaha Actually it WILL, because I wrote this for myself. Buuuuuut, I will make an original version as well
Hey OrganicM, It looks sick but if i could suggest something, then it would be the title, instead of making the "temperature" the title, why not make it My Weather or something along those lines and underneath it - you could make a line for the temperature, upto u - otherwise it looks amazing - Keep up the good work and post a .cab when ur done
Good Luck !
I know, that's what I wanted to do initially, but this damn TestUIPlugin, will NOT let me do two lines of text!! Only thing I could do, is append the current temperature at the end of the forecast blurb... But it wouldn't really make it stand out.

About implementing it to any panels, slim or not...
Hi OrganicM!
Nice job you done with this app.
I took a look at your cab _setup.xml and I was wondering what needs to be changed to the Chome_320x240.cpr for the app to work, since I prefer my chubby panels and its icons and overall layout (just a matter of taste, you know).
Perhaps you could post a little step by step guide for the ones like me who want to implement it by hand, with the needed files in a single compressed file (zip, rar, your choice really, I've already got them from the cab ).
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought he intended to post the .cab for the "chubby panels" soon anyway. I am on the same page with you, Cassiano. I like my plump panels, but I'd like to install Organic's .cab too. I don't necessarily wanna change anything in my homescreen layout--aside from including the new weather panel.

Disregard my previous posts! I see you've laid everything out in the 1st post. Thanks man.
Is anyone else have trouble updating the city? I'm trying to get Seattle on here, but it won't find it by name, and if using the zip is keeps showing sunny Las Vagas... That sucks, mainly 'cause it nice there and not here... Thanks.
This thing is awesome. Just what I needed. However, is there a way to remove the photo and media pannel? I tried to edit the XML file but it doesn't change. Any ideas?
Thanks..
Just set the plugins as "disabled" right in the registry.
Updated first post again, this time I added a "last updated" time in the top right corner. This gets updated everytime the weather script runs, so you have an idea how recent the info is.
Alright...for some reason it won't allow my city to be displayed when setting up Weather Watcher. It'll take me to a blank IE screen. I made the change to my city in 'Options', like instructed. Then tried to open 'Update Weather'. It would take me back to the blank IE screen. On the homescreen--the weather sliding panel is blank and just has a sun in it. Is there something I'm not doing?

Are you sure you're spelling it correctly ? Mine finds it right away.
I am posting a zip that contains some of the pngs I use for my screen. In it contains a new image for the iconbar bluetooth.
Try them out. Just rename them for what you are replacing, or edit your registry to accomodate for your new pics. If you have any questions, please post them. (and No, I won't make a cab, because I am still not 100% on how to do it, but if someone knows how and wants to share the knowledge, let me know, I'm no dummy, I can learn quick, or make the cab yourself.)
Anyways, here they are.

These look good. My main concern is the Bluetooth icon. Which reg key should I edit to use the new one (for the Rinku Iconbar)?
I just copied this one over the original. I already have it name the same. I kept a copy of the original on my pc, just in case....

Yeah...but what's the registry address??? (ex. HKLM/Software/Microsoft/CHome)
I looked around earlier for that. I couldn't find it. I'm sure it's there, but I didn't want to spend the time going through every single reg entry until I found it.
As it stands right now, there is NO need to change you reg entry. Just take the bluetooth pic and rename it to whatever your CHome iconbar pic is called. Mine should be the same as yours, I'd imagine. It's:
CHome_Iconbar_Bluetooth.png
Just drop this pic into your \Windows folder on your smartphone and reboot it. You'll see the updated picture. No need to edit the registry.

First off, I take no credit in doing this, this is meant to help people if they want to try it. And I am only making thread at request of others members.
If you break your phone I am not responsible, if you have questions though I am more than willing to help as much as I can but this was the first project I did.
There may be easier ways to do this but this is how I did it. If there is, feel free to comment the other ways!
I would like to say thanks to maddoggin and illinois08 for there help in getting mine figured out!
Requirements:
winrar (this is what I prefer but you can use any of your choice)
Original Swype.apk (included in thread and swype needs to be already installed)
image editing software (I personally used gimp and coreldraw) and experience in them.
common sense
What you are actually changing:
To change the look of swype is fairly simple, meaning all you are changing is some .png files in the apk itself to whatever you want them to be.
The only downside is trying to make sure the letter spacing is correct. That is the reason I used coreldraw first to do the spacing and then the background with my flames was in gimp.
First Step:
Using winrar (7zip, etc) open up Swype.apk (I placed on desktop for easier use).
The first folder should say assets. Open up assets. After you open assets, there should be a folder named keyboards. Drag the keyboards folder to desktop.
Once you open the keyboards folder, you will see multiple image files. You have found the files we need to edit! Make sure every png stays in there even if you decided not to edit one of them.
Files SwypeRef_LS_Blue_Shifted_WVGA.png (LS is landscape keyboard) through SwypeRef_PT_Standard_wBlue_VGA.png (PT is portrait, most important for me)
I only edited 4 of the images because these are the main 4 I use and don't use landscape. If you wish you can edit all of them or just 1 .
Second Step:
Using Gimp/or CorelDRAW, you will need to make new images that are 480x320 pixels. At this point, it is totally up to you to get the placements correct and make the image how you want it displayed.
I personally imported the images I was editing to Corel, and basically started a fresh one on top of it so I could get the letter placements correct. You need to make sure when you are done that the image is still 480x320 with the letters not being the end of the size. I made an outline that was 480x320 and placed the letters inside and exported the image that way so it stayed the right size. I would also try to keep the images around 50 kb because mine are around 90 and you noticed some lag when it switched between pngs...
As you are exporting your images, make sure to name them their appropriate names (shifted, capitals, lower case, etc.) which makes it easier to rename them after wards.
Third Step
Once you have all of your images done how you want, I would place them all in their own separate folder.
Now, you will need to open the keyboards folder from earlier and match the images you edited to where they go in "keyboards" and rename your files to the appropriate name and delete its' counter part. Meaning make sure only your image is in keyboards with it renamed to what mode your png represents. And make sure the folder contains every png it did before. They all serve a purpose.
After you have removed all the old pngs and replaced with your renamed images, you will need to open Swype.apk back up and go to assets-> and delete the original keyboards folder. After deleting, move your keyboards folder with your images under assets.
Swype is now edited with your keyboards how you want them!!
Fourth Step:
The only thing left is either adb push Swype.apk to system/app or place on sd card and install with astro,ez,etc.
Another way that is very easy and the way I do it. If you are using a theme, open up on your desktop with winrar. Go to folder system/app and place Swype.apk in app folder. Now flash from recovery and your new and improved swype is ready for action.
I have attached what I made mine look like. Some people may not like how basic it looks and how some of the things are not sized or off correctly but I like it and it works!!
I also added a picture of my custom dropdown which I made in Gimp. If you would like to know how to do one like this send me a PM.
And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I may not be the best at explaining things thoroughly !
I have been getting a lot of PM asking how to edit swype ...
Are my instructions to complicated? If so, let me know and I will try to revise them a bit and sorry!
Nah it's cool man. I mean i get it. idk about everyone else. I haven't got around to trying it yet but this lets me know what to expect.

Thanks man! Like I said since this was my personal one I didn't go all out and it was kind of sloppy but it suits me fine.
I was thinking about it but not sure what people would want! If some people gave me some ideas of what kind of background or font, I would have no problem making it for them.
Now that I know how to do it (with your help) it won't be as painful as before, just time consuming.
I'm not a user of Swype but I certainly commend the effort that you put into this. It came out great.

Your are welcome! Let me know if you have any questions!
Just so everyone is clear, the Swype.apk attached to post is the original swype, not my customized one . Because that is what you have to edit.
Just so no one gets confused.
Thank you for this help. I've wanted to be able to change the way mine looked but have been stuck trying to find someone else's work that suited. I've just started modifying mine and what I've got looks awful but that's because I need to learn how to utilize the imaging programs better. I'm trying to get at some images out of some icon packs for Better-Cut to put them on my LPP dock. LPP doesn't allow me to choose from the same icon packs I can use to make icons for the rest of the home screen but it does give me the option to use a "custom image". Now if I could get at the images themselves and copy them to my gallery, I could use those as my "custom images".
But I cannot find them for the life of me.
Anyone got any ideas as to where they might be?
I have the same issue apparently no one has figured it out or its not possible maybe the icons aren't images we can use

Real late to the party here, but using x-plore you can unzip .apk files (and rezip them). That should let you view/copy the images, however I cannot speak to the legality of such a process. PM me if you would like.

---------- Post added at 08:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:37 PM ----------
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234611
Is the program I used to make the bootanimation file, basically, what I did was renamed each png so that they were in numerical order, minus the xbmc replace with 000, took away some of the images at the end, as they were just black, and had no purpose. Take the last two images, copy them, and make a part 1 folder, put them in there. Run this program ^^^ then follow the prompts, it did the rest for me, and just throw that into system/media replace the old sanim (or rename it), and reboot. Looks nice. I love XBMC so I am happy to give a little hand.
Did that work for you?
Yes it did.. thanks.. I trying to make a xbmc layout for my Asus transformer tablet and that bootanimation would help out
