Google apps extracted from the latest Android L update - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Phandroid has extracted the apps from the latest Android L update (LPV81C) and posted them to their google drive. I'm starting this thread as a discussion of using these apps on our phone. I realize different roms will act differently, and wouldnt be surprised if at least some of these apps require kitkat, maybe even a new kernel. Anyone try these yet? Comments? Bueller?

I've installed new google play and services apk but couldn't get keyboard to work. I'm wondering if there's enough devs around here still to maybe get a 5.0 L ROM .

There are already a number of 5.1.1 roms out there. Look around in the forum and you'll find even Android 6.0.1 roms now.

Is it possible to install the new android market on android 1.5?

Hi guys,
I'm monitoring a lot of 2.1 roms here but they are still with a lot of bugs that don't convince me to change my 1.5 rom in this moment. So, one of my needs is to have the new fashion android market...that on android 1.5 is really ugly without pics of the apps and other features that, instead, are already in the new android market app.
There's a way to install the apk of the new market on the cupcake version of android?
Thanks for your attention.
I believe it's not possible. Can someone explain why though? I just know the new market won't work with 1.5 ROMs, only 1.6+.

Yes, but I think that a porting could be done...or am I saying something wrong?
it probably could be ported but I cant see anyone bothering with that, the apk file vending.apk wont install on cupcake or let you upgrade to it using astro!

The new market app you can see some screenshots of the application.. Sometimes it's very handfull... otherwise.. you must download. check.. and uninstall if it is not what you want
sorry I don't follow what you are saying? I know how the new market looks as im on 2.1
when u press an app, below commentarys developers often add some screenshots of the software.
No developers seem to be interested to make a porting of new android market on cupcake and I think that this is normal as they are working on improve their 2.1 rom.

I'm curious, why install google keyboard? Isn't it similar enough, feature wise, to the AOSP keyboard? In fact, aren't they the same? I think the google keyboard is for those stock devices that only have the manufacturers custom keyboard installed. You already have it installed on CM11, maybe that's why you're getting an error.

I don't think aosp and google kb are exactly the same.
plus, if it's showing as an update thru play and the error is coming, then not getting the newest fixes&features.
I would check to see that you don't have some version of it being installed by gapps being used or something. one that is themed maybe or customized will usually contain a different signature than the official one.
also, after you delete it and/or uninstall, reboot device before trying to install thru play.

Hey guys, id like to install the Google Keyboard because it has new features that i really like. It doesn not show as an update to the CM11 AOSP keyboard, it is a separete app.
Also restarting after uninstalling/moving the CM11 keyboard's .apk did not help
Any other suggestions on how to get the google apk installed?
Thanks

[Q] Google play services incompatible with certain apps after installing a rom

First of all, I am aware there's a solution post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51022557#post51022557 but since the Galaxy Fame is kind of unique I wish for a more accurate solution if possible
I installed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582851 and everything worked fine, except when I tried to use snapchat I got that error of Google Play Services incompatibility. Now, it says that rom is intended for developers and what not but every page I visited asking what was the best rom linked me to it so I tried it; I'm saying this because to be honest I barely know that my phone has to be rooted and I kind of know what CWM does, besides that I have no idea how custom roms work and thus I am asking for your help here on this matter
P.S: I'm not bashing on the creator of that rom.
Try with corsifame 2,cause corsifame 2 use lastest based official firmeare

Android 5.1.1 ; does it fixe the memory leak bug ?

Hello.
Does the android 5.1.1 version fix the memory leak bug which occurs on 5.0 and 5.1 Lollipop ?
I ask this before installing 5.1.1 on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition (SM-P605) running Android 4.4 Kitkat.
Tank you in advance for your answer.
Kindly.
Just go to enotar's thread in the development section and install his latest release, that one has no problems after using it for a while.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/development/dev-llp600b1-23-10-2015-t3249279
Samsung pushed lots of updates to their newer lollipop release, and as seen here
http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=SM-P600
the 7851540 release doesn't have the aggressive app killing problem, which plagued the older lollipop release. I tried the stock ROMs released above, earlier builds use the problematic 6086244 ones, so like two apps only would stay in the memory, however the newer releases don't suffer from this problem, and I can now keep around 4 apps without reloading, though that's only because I use generally 3 at a time and I didn't multitask much. Safe to say no memory problems here.
Thank you very much, Pact, for your answer.
Kindly.
You're welcome mate.
If you need an app to stay within memory permanently, try searching for these apps:
Memory Locker
HEBF Optimizer
"App Settings" within the xposed repository
They have the ability to lock choosen apps within memory so the OS doesn't kill them. I've been using the App Settings module and happy with it, it has helped massively back when I was using the problematic Lollipop build since it does keeps stuff within memory regardless of what the poorly coded OS does.
Thank you for indicating theses App.
Have a good day.

Issue with android 10

As a last resort I've come to this forum hoping to get some answers about this issue. When using any Android 10 or lower version I cannot seem to download my purchased apps from the Play Store. It doesn't necessarily seem to be the rom I choose at fault either however on Android 11 roms things work as expected and I'm able to install my apps. My only option for Android 10 is Stock OOS. But can anybody explain my issue here? And if so how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
