[Q] How can I change camera values in AOSP? - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As in title - question is simple: How can I change camera values in AOSP? I will add, that I tried to change content of the file media_profiles.xml, replaced it in the right place and... then the camera crashed.
What am I doing wrong, if I only change this:
Code:
<ImageEncoding quality="90" />
<ImageEncoding quality="80" />
<ImageEncoding quality="70" />
to this
Code:
<ImageEncoding quality="100" />
<ImageEncoding quality="100" />
<ImageEncoding quality="100" />
?
Or maybe I just need to install any additional application that support camera?
I almost forgot - I use this ROM.

help
can any one to know how to port aosp rom to any device?

Which files has the progress bar Image ?

I want to mod the green progress bar in Froyo 2.2.1. Does anyone know which file holds this image ?. I tried framework-res, but it not in there...thanks
There is a File called progress_horizontal.xml in Folder /drawable and in this File you must change it the Hex for the color.
Not what i wanted to hear
I want to change it to a blue colour like the battery on the notification bar.
Would you know what i need to change in the following:

Should be secondaryProgress and progress
Change startColor, endColor and centerColor.
They are in ARGB format iirc
I found this was a good guide on how to change the values to mod the progress bar colour for theming.
great...that worked..Just one more thing. Is the green radio buttons the same situation ? . I have changed in framework, but it only effected some items. Items on menus are still green. Does anyone know the file to these radio buttons ?....thanks in advance
Never mind...found them...tricky little suckers

[REQUEST] Honeycomb Launcher

Hello world!
I was testing and messing everything with my old tablet (ViewSonic gTablet), I was running ICS on it and, I've pulled my old Honeycomb stock launcher of and older rom on it, put on system/apps and chaged permissions, voi'la! It was running amazingly fast and without bugs, i was surprised at first time so I've decided to try it on my Galaxy s3.
Put on SGS3 the history was diferent, I am on CM10.1 too, and when I pushed it to system/apps and changed its permissions, when I try to launch it via 'home' key, it gives me an error. It would not run, so I've decompiled it, but as a noobie user I can't identify the problem with it.
So I've uploaded the honeycomb stock launcher from my old tablet rom here, and maybe someone who understands it may help me!
A Brief explanation of why I like too much the honeycomb stock launcher:
Honeycomb Stock Launcher has a beautiful animation when you go to your Apps drawer or just try to add icons and widgets to your homescreen, the launcher fly around your wallpaper, and it is super smooth, like the newest JB launchers.
So, please, someone help me! =))
Also, if someone wants it, i've made a honeycomb clock (google sourcers), it is exactly the same as the stock.
==/ UPDATE \==
Here is the Android Manifest, maybe the problem is here, I would expect bugs with xmls res values, with orientation bugs of course, but it should've run first.

we will fill all the tabs, follow these steps correctly!!!!, or you will get forceclose!!!
go to res\xml
open ipul_account.xml, ipul_connect.xml, ipul_device.xml, ipul_more.xml.
Change from :
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<preference-headers
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" />
to like this
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<preference-headers
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
</preference-headers>
open your settings_header.xml in res\xml\ and leave ipul_account.xml, ipul_connect.xml, ipul_device.xml, ipul_more.xml open too
Copy some code from your settings_header.xml to ipul_account.xml, ipul_connect.xml, ipul_device.xml, ipul_more.xml
Not All, because not all code is available in your ROM, if you do for all it will forceclosed!!!!
For Compare, I manage like this :
This is my settings_header.xml
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<preference-headers
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

I'm stuck at Step 2. For some reason, after compiling and signing SecSettings.apk, it doesn't work on my phone. I get a Parsing error and the apk doesn't work. I will re-do it again and see if that solves my problem but just for my reference, is this the exact way you did it and is there any chances incompatible smali files that could have caused this issue I'm having?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm yes, I do have Settings$3.smali too. I know Step 2 is a little tricky. I have spent a lot of time and I carefully replaced all the IDs from my public.xml, so I don't think that's the problem. But yes, I will re-do this from the beginning again, very soon

Help needed! Firmware for R800 SEE

Hi guys,
I need a little help to get back my Galaxy Watch to original SEE CSC and downgrade to Tizen 4.0.0.4.
I've changed CSC of my watch from SEE to XAR few months ago to be able to update it to OneUI 1.5 but since this firmware was ****ty I'd like to take it back to original CSC and to downgrade the firmware to previous built.
Can someone please help with that?
Downgrade to older Firmware:

Best Regards
Thank you!
But is this for SEE? I see its OXA, this is like European I know.
I saw that you sad that CSE1 is with best feedback.
If I flash it will I have CSC changed?
Lots of questions, I know

OXA is Region package name...
SM-R800 has only 1 Region package with ALL CSC/Sales Codes inside...
Also your SEE should inside...
You can check it by using Tool 7zip.. and unpack... extract csc.img...
Best Regards

But, XAR wasn't inside if I recall correctly. I had to choose XAC instead to get the update quickly.
So, I am wondering how you changed the CSC to XAR in the first place. If you were able to choose it within your firmware using CSC-manager on the R800, there obviously is more than 1 firmware/package going around. And that could mean SEE isn't available in the European version.

Use 7Zip Tool...
Unpack and extract files from csc.img...

Code:
will add later... forgotten for now... /opt/system/csc or something like this...

@adfree
Ah, I probably searched alphabetically, if XAR is the first in the list that is sorted alphabetically for all others, it is easily missed.
Thanks for digging this up.
@Zoran81
If it was not clear yet: flashing won't change your CSC. You have to change it using csc-manager after downgrading, the same way you changed the CSC to XAR before.
So I successfully downgraded SW to OneUI 1.0 and now I'm stuck on f.cking CSC change via SDB.
After I send sdb shell I'm keep getting
error: target not found
failed environment shell, so it will retry shell command.
error: target not found
What the f.ck I'm doing wrong?!?
Try again after looking into this post...

Try to read... maybe 2 times or maybe more...
Tiny hint...
sdb connect IPaddress

Things you can check/try:
Make sure developer mode is on on your watch (tap 5x on software version in the About Watch menu.
Is your PC connected to the same network as your watch?
Try rebooting your watch after switching debugging mode on.
Did you recheck the IP address of your watch? It can change when it reconnects after a reboot/reset.
Some say you have to turn of Bluetooth on your watch.
Set Wifi connection on your watch to always on.
I usually remove the network cable when flashing with NetOdin. For working with sdb you need to put it back in.
Switch off your firewall and try again. If you want to keep it on (safer), check if sdb has only one permission line. Best is to remove all permissions for sdb and grant sdb permission anew when you have another attempt.
I have best results with the 32bit version of sdb (although my Windows is 64bit). Some claim they have better results with the 64bit version. So after removing the permissions for sdb you may want to try the other version.
Before giving the sdb connect command turn off your watch screen. After the sdb connect command, turn the screen on with the home button. It helped some to get the RSA dialog on their watch.
For some odd reason, try giving the command "sdb connect IPaddress:26099" before giving the command "sdb connect IPaddress:26101" . I don't understand why that helps but it did the trick for me a few times. It can also be a coincidence. Sometimes you have to keep trying.
If nothing works.... try another PC/Laptop.
Good luck.
