My Galaxy Nexus doesnt start

Hello:
My Galaxy Nexus doesnt start. I mean only the Nexus logo appears and the home screen doesnt come. Also the phone becomes very hot. I tried removing the battery and inserted it again but still the home screen doesnt come. Please help me

Please give us more info, as much as you can. Do you have a custom recovery? What version or ROM you were on and/or flashing when it happened?
Can you revert to a previous backup via recovery? Factory reset?

I performed factory reset and problem solved. But i lost all my data. I had the JB 4.1.2. Unlocked GSM version. Not rooted.

Yep, a factory reset wipes all your setting, apps, and data. If you have Titanium Backup you can restore, but I would do just the apps and not the data. Glad that got you back to a working state.:good:

My xperia s is running cm10 based freexperia212. now my phone has started giving me problems to touch.. the whole strip alonmg the charging port doesnt respond to touch most of the times.. sometimes it does. and worst of all the screen goes mad and registers touch anywhere in multiple areas without me doing anything.. i think the screen in gone mad.. can anyone give me a solution.. and its not a hardware issue cause it works sometimes.. nevertheless.. mostly no. plz help.. i would be greatfuyl. thanks.

It could be the digitilizer playing up which is a hardware problem. I've had an android tablet that had that problem before. Make a backup and flash a stock rom and see if the problem remains

click on repair
Follow instructions

Reboot phone into recovery
Back up apps
Wipe cache
Wipe Factory data
Wipe System

Re-flash ROM and KERNEL
Advanced Restore --> Restore DATA only
STILL IF PROBLEM PERSISTS
Follow solution 1
Then Take your Phone into for Repairs

both 1 and 2 not working. sorry.. if it is a hardware issue.. then what.. im out of warranty

TOT to ZVC - everything works properly
Successfully Installed TWRP through FreeGee
Took Backup of ZVC
Restored - No Boot
The phone would power on, stay at LG Logo and Notification LEDs would keep on blinking.
Flashed various ZVC Modems, but to no avail.
Situation 2
Clean Wipe
Flashed Stock Based 4.4 ROM
Flashed Modem
Heck, same as above. LG Logo with Notification LED blinking.
Now I understand maybe Autorec can be a solution, but I do not want to TOT again and lose all data.
The phone runs CM11, AOKP fine. It also runs ZVA based ROMs. It's ZVC that has gone for a toss.
Has someone been able to solve this?

The developers are working on getting a stock rooted base working. There have been lots of hiccups.
They are knocking heads together to figure out what the problem is.

[Q] incoming call popup problem

Ok guys.
So today i was playing with my build.prop.
I was trying you make my f240s into e988.
So i changed the device name and all the things that needed to be changed.
Then i didn't like it so i replaced the build.prop with a backup of stock build.prop i kept
Then i wiped cache and dalvik cache and rebooted.
And since then I'm not able to enable incoming call popup.
The setting is there and when i check it and go back it doesn't stick.
Now i can't get call popup.
Tried everything but no fix.
Help me.i didn't do a factory reset as my internal sd has some important data and i don't want it to be wiped.!
I'm on stock kitkat my phone is f240s
And I'm using twrp.
Is there any way to just factory reset without formatting internal card or any other solution to my problem

[Q] No IMEI and Baseband and also a weird stutter on Lollipop

Hey there.
Okay so, I rooted and installed TWRP using Odin on my Note2, and of course, I tried CM12, and also a lot of lollipop ROMS. I'm not much of a noob so I guess I didn't miss anything important, clearing cache, factory reset, did all of it, now the thing is.. I get this weird lag/stutter kinda thing that happens randomly followed up with a vibration, I noticed things like, no IMEI and baseband, so I followed a friends advice who had a similar problem on his G2, he fixed it by backing up EFS from a working stock ROM and restored it into the custom Lollipop OS, this worked for him, now I tried the same thing, but it doesn't seem to help, also I noticed that the "vibration intensity" setting is blank, just like IMEI and baseband. Whenever I put the phone in PowerSave mode from the "RESSURECTION ROM" which disables all sorts of vibrations, the stutter/lag disappears.. It only happens when vibrations are enabled on balanced or performance mode. Now I really wanna know how to fix this so I can use Android 5.0 on my Note2. Thanks in advance
