Help bricked I think - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok when restoring a backup, I must have done something wrong, because now I think the boot img is messed. When it went to boot, the splash screen came up, and then the screen went black. I can restart it by pressing volume up and power. But same thing happens. And can't get into bootloader, recovery. Nothing will boot up. Please help!
Edit never mind. Discovered that if I let go at 10 seconds, and then hit power plus volume down, instead of waiting for it to reboot, I could get into bootloader.

[Q] HELP! Rooted Mytouch Slide will not boot!

Okay, so for the past couple of days I have been having problems and I was wondering if anyone can help. I rooted my phone with Cyanoginger and it had been working fine for the last few months. I tried to turn my phone on yesterday and it simply vibrated and no screen came on. I decided to charge it and try again today. I turned it on and the screen got stuck on the mytouch logo. For the next times i tried to reboot it, this happened again, before it stopped showing anything on the screen all together. I tried to access the boot menu by pressing volume down then power with no result. Not even a vibrate from the phone. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix the phone, or if I should just give up on it.
Thanks a lot, Kevin.
Try pressing back+power to reach the bootloader, then from there get into recovery menu and load clockwork mod recovery.
Then flash cyanoginger again without wiping and then just wipe cache and dalvick-cache
Should boot up after 5-15 min
But did you flash a radio or spl/hboot or try s-off but it failed?
back+power didn't work. and for the last thing you said i have no clue what you are trying to say, so if you could please explain it a little better I might understand. thanks, Kevin.
lol that's because its not back+power
LMAO
Do this..
Turn your phone on by pressing the following:
Power+Volume DOWN+Camera button.
You will enter a screen, now select recovery by using the VOLUME and POWER keys and enjoy.

Splash screan

Hi
ive just done a nandroid backup now my disre cant get past the splash screen. it keeps trying but just reboots again and again. any sugestions.
nandroid backup does not change anything on the phone so if it booted before you must have changed or wiped something either before or after you did the backup.
try applying the backup you just took and see if it works then. if not you probably made the change before the backup which will probably mean a full wipe and install.
thanks for your quick response. it sounds like a stupid question but how I do that if it wont stop trying to boot.
hold the volume down key and when it boot loops it should drop into the bootloader from there you can get into recovery.
or pull the battery put it back in and power on with vol down held
Thanks again larkspeed I tried that before but was holding the vol key up.
Much appreciated.
hi,
should not needed to pull out the battery if you pressed same times power+vol-down+trackpad => the phone reboots. while it does so keep press vol-down and you should able to go into recovery after hboot screen.
suggest to read that post... really teaching things about nandrestore and what is boot.img

PLEASE HELP: Phone stuck in boot, can't access recovery

Oh my I think i screwed my phone up
I tried flashing ZenSeries 6.42 kernal (wipe cache and davlik) and everything seemed fine. Went to boot up and i get passed the splash screen, but the phones stays stuck on with the google nexus logo and never boots to my lock screen. I tried taking out the battery and going into recovery but it's a no go. I press volume down and power and i go into "odin mode" and it's telling me it's "downloading" then if I hit the power button it takes me back to boot loop. I've been away from the scene due to new marriage, school and work so I'm not sure if i lost touch and forgot how to use my phone like a hacker should anyone know how i can fix this?

Click to collapse
Volume Up & down + power to boot into the bootloader & then use the volume keys to change "start" to "recovery"

Phone stuck in TWRP recovery lock screen and can't force power-down

I am in a bit of a predicament. When I tried power-off my phone from the TWRP reset menu TWRP froze up. I could click any of the buttons on screen (the clicking/tapping animation did go off) but got no repsonse. When I tried to do a forced power-off by holding the power button, the only thing that happened was the screen locked. Now I am stuck on the lock screen because for some reason the phone won't unlock when I slide to unlock it. Am I screwed and will have to wait until the battery goes dead to be able to get back to the bootloader? I tried to flash TWRP 2.8.6.0 inside TWRP but it flashed to the boot partition instead. I have a backup but I need to first be able to flash the new recovery to restore it.
Press vol up+vol down + power button for 15 sec or more
When screen goes black
Press voldown + power to enter bootloader
Thanks for the quick response. Sadly I ended up calling it a night soon after posting so I ended up letting the battery die.

[Q] Htc one m8 black screen, won't boot up PLEASE HELP

So, I tried to restore a backup from TWRP. During the process, the system and cache were restored fine, but couldn't restore the data (for some reason, it said failed), so I figured it's alright, I'll just have to install all the apps again, no big deal. But, after I clicked the "reboot system", the screen went off and never turn back on.
I can't get in bootloader screen in any way, I haven't tried the Vol up + power button for 10s, and the vol down + power button, and the 3 button all together... Nothing works.
When I press the power button normally, nothing happens, not even the Htc logo screen.
When I plug it in, it only shows the battery charging icon. So I tried the buttons combination again (coz I thought at least the screen turns on now), but still, nothing happens, just the screen switch between black and the charging icon.
So, I left it charging overnight, and tried the buttons combination again, nothing works still.
Now I have no idea what to do, can anyone please help me?
Htc one m8 international
Rooted, TWRP recovery, S-ON
It sounds like you hard bricked your phone. Try using this guide youtu . be/ rpA71FXddyU[/ but Im not sure it will work.
Only thing what you need is that computer recognize your phone, because when It doesnt then you should take your phone to local phone repair.
