Is there anyway to boost the volume for the PACMAN ROM on the S4?
I always added fluax sound to the kernel. Worked for just about all sounds. I'd find a kernel with it in it

I have found that AnEq Equalizer works pretty well to boost the volume in CM9. I've used it in other ROMs as well. It will FC when you try to use the presets. but you can set it manually.
I am currently on CyanogenMod 10.1 with astro player and DSP. Was just wondering is there a mod like acid or franken beats that would improve the audio as at high volume the sound becomes distorted with DSP? And would it even work on 4.2.1 android? Thanks
Theres loads, cwm flashables your looking at acid audio mod and frankenbeats. Which I haven't tried.
If your rom supports it you could flash the perseus kernel and have stweaks which is a kernel specific app with audio tweaks that directly manipulate the wolfson dac in the Note 2.
Theres also the Nooz app on the play store that gives you some fantastic sound if you have a bunch of lossless files and decent headphones

Hi. I've just moved from htc hd2 to Note 2...
I need little help... the sound on headphones is really to low for me.
Is there any other custom rom, which have a good volume? Right now i've got stock rom jb4.11.
On my hd2 the sound was 2x louder on tytung rom jb4.12 I love loud music

A custom kernel will do just fine. For example Perseus Kernel has included stweaks app and via this app you can increase volume for headphones quite a bit. But that is just one of them, I think a lot of kernels have Stweaks app included.

Okay so i was using frosted jelly and i loved the sound on music on that rom and i just recently flashed pacman rom and i love the rom but not the sound quality is there a way i can switch the sound engine/music engine from the frosted jelly rom on the pacman rom? my beats cant handle bass boost on dsp manager but on the stock music effect it handled it great and i got alot of bass

I have installed 7HD V8.0 ROM and sound is much better than stock Lollipop and stock MM. But the volume is a bit low.
I have tried editing mixer_paths.xml and there was no difference. Then I tried LuPuS kernel with Faux Sound v3.x support and Faux Sound app. Tried some configurations, but sound was disorted.
Maybe anyone has increased volume without losing quality?
