Phone can boot into download mode, but can't boot into Recovery or OS.
i want to flash a custom recovery and ROM, but have no idea how
First try to fix your problem by flashing the firmware. Hopefully you can enter the system or recovery afterwards.
@godig what have you done before? Did you try to install any custom rom, is that your case try to flash again the stock rom!

Well download an stock ROM and flash it via Odin that will solve. An advice do not flash anything if you don't have a backup, and do not flash nothing to your phone if is not for your phone!
Good Luck!

When you are in download mode, plug the phone to PC and check if Odin is able to detect it
If not, install samsung drivers or samsung kies and try again
Then, download this firmware: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=32162
After download, extract ZIP and don't rename the file with 'tar.md5' extension
Then try to flash it through Odin and wait...
If you flash was done correctly, phone will boot
If you get bootloop, reboot in recovery and make a wipe data/factory reset
Good luck

Hey guys, i'm a noob here.
I just flashed my phone with cm 10.1 and i'm not getting any signal on my phone. Before this i was on 2.3.6. Anyone have any suggestions on whether i should just flash the official 4.1.2 (and if i should, do you have any download links to the latest one?) or if you have any solution to my phone signal problem.
Thanks a lot guys

flash new bootloader - you can get it from stock rom, just unpack it, search for sboot.bin and pack it to tar with 7zip to get sboot.tar.md5
flash new modem - you can get it from stock rom, just unpack it, search for modem.bin and pack it to tar with 7zip to get modem.tar.md5
then go to recovery do a full wipe and flash your custom rom, like DN3
