Hello everyone.I just received an HTC m8 as a present.my question is,will a Rogers based version unlock to and operate fully on Winds AWS bands?and if possible what is necessary.
Does the Rogers version support both the 3G and LTE bands used by WIND? In other words, does Wind use AWS for LTE, or 3G also?
It will. All you need is the unlock code.

If I read this right, the N7105 is international and doesn't have LTE, is that correct?

Some think the 7105 is international with no LTE, but others think the opposite. many would like to know the real answer.............so we know which one to buy, wait for ATT (know that is LTE) or buy earlier the N7100, but only if it has LTE. Some websites call yes to LTE, others don't call out 4G LTE so anyone really know? FCC did a test on N7105 and called out no LTE, which them would make one believe the N7100 will have LTE.

It supports 800mhz LTE, which is European bands. Use ATT is 700/1700. based upon info, if correct, appears the N7105 is international, which should mean the N7100 is U.S. compatible for 4G LTE, per someone I spoke to who should know.

Wait you said it supports 2.6ghz? Why can't samsung just say the release and models with their bands already.

You are mistaken.
N7105 has LTE, N7100 does not.
I'm testing this for a carrier here in Singapore which has LTE running on 1.8Ghz and 2.6Ghz band.

Some stores that have SGN2 "Bånd
WCDMA (UMTS) / GSM 850/900/1800/1900" for the 7100 model. There's no 7105 at all to be found. Granted they may be wrong(also how can both 3G and LTE use 1800mhz?), but you also don't have any proof of actually having the phone. And please explain how a system dump wouldn't reveal you while a screenshot can. I can't understand, there's a lot more to be extracted from a system dump.

You don't think maybe your XDA profile linking to your Twitter feed which has a picture of you all over it might do that? If you're legit then you're terrible at hiding your identity and should probably drop this idea before your employer notices.

Hi guys,
Maybe someone can answer this.
I just got a Note 2 model t889 and I live in Montreal. I found out that Rogers (my provider) uses the i317m model. Would this make a difference in my LTE speeds? The t-Moblie unlocked one I have now is only getting around 8mbps down and 1mbps up. When I switch my sim back to my iPhone and do the test, I get 35mbps down and 30mbps up. Is there anything I have to tweak to get it to LTE speeds?
Any help is appreciated.
The t999 don't have Lte yet. Even if they did turn it on I don't think it is compatible with Rogers Lte.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
Some people claim that t mobile version has same hardware like att, just firmware disable/enable some frequencies. Roger version looks like att (as far lte is concerned). Theoretically seems like would be possible to flash firmware to make that phone fully compatible with rogers network. Check att note2 forums and you may be able find more informations

YES BUT IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YU LIVE a city will probably have T-MOBILE LTE working but if you live in the suburbs/country/outside the city then HSPA+ 42, 3G IS what yu'll get and its as fast as its classified as (TRUE 4G) by T-MO try it but idont think LTE is near your place
running Synergy ROM 4.1.2 WITH Ziggy Kernel using ATT Galaxy S3 I747
PLUS an ATT phone does or might receice T-MOBILE'S 4G LTE since it does not have the SOME SPECIFIC bandS that T-MOBILE requires to use THEIR 4G LTE
sorry am too lazy to research about bands diffrence and everything about it but i am sure that yu need a T-MOBILE phone to use 4G LTE ON T-MOBLE NETWORK, ATT phones will or might not work on T-MOBILES 4G LTE network
I flashed the T999 t mobile modem and I'm able to get lte

So recently I came found pretty beaten up HTC ONE that is Verizon branded. I called and they said its a bad ESN that the previous owner didn't finish the payment. So I was wondering, (yes I looked through various threads and could not get to a final answer) if I use this phone with an AT&T sim, it will work right? Verizon HTC ONES are required to be GSM unlocked and ESN only matters to CDMA carriers and not GSM carriers. Thanks.
Are you asking the XDA community or are you telling us? I'm confused as to what you are getting across here. If you have an AT&T sim or know someone who does then pop the sim in and find out if it works... Did you call Verizon or AT&T and ask if they will activate it?

It is unlocked, so as long as it has the proper bands in it, it should work on AT&T. I'm not sure if it'll work with LTE or just 3G. No idea as I've never tried. I've also read that you have to update APN settings. AT&T may not "officially" let you use, like register it to your account because it wasn't an AT&T phone but if you can pop a SIM card in it you should be able to use it, as long as it works.

Wrong. You're thinking of T-Mobile
http://www.htc.com/us/smartphones/htc-one/#specs
The VZW variant HTC One includes the following GSM bands: UMTS/HSPA 1900/2100MHz and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz. These frequencies align with AT&T's services. T-Mobile uses AWS bands (which include 1700mhz) for their HSPA.
I might be wrong.. but all Verizon Phones are Sim-Locked for any USA carrier, you could however use the phone just fine in any out of the country carriers. but like i said i might be wrong which i often am

Don't waste your time. My thoughts were the same when I bought my Verizon One. I planned on using it with a GSM carrier. I had read that its hardware had the necessary bands and they probably are there but I can guarantee that they are at least being blocked somehow by Verizon (data-wise) . I only got 2G and this is from actual hands-on experience with SIM cards from both at&t and T-Mobile. Voice worked great but data was horrible.

They ARE sim unlocked but crafty Verizon somehow managed to block high speed data even though they are SIM unlocked. I'm sure this can be fixed somehow but nobody seems to be that interested in getting this taken care of. Fortunately for me I was able to get a very good deal on my Verizon plan so I kept it for myself and my family is still on my original T Mobile plan.

Is it a Verizon One? Did you flash anything to turn off the speed cap?
I have a Verizon HTC one and I have a Straight talk ATT Micro sim card. ATT has great coverage in my area. You will only get Edge data. But text and calls will work. Reason is because you need both the 850Mhz and 1900Mhz band for ATT. I believe you will get HSPA on a Tmobile sim if Tmobile has the 1900 band rolled out in your area.
I have a droid DNA and with the ATT Sim card in the DNA I get HSPA speeds but only edge speeds on the One. The DNA has more bands available where as the HTC one from Verizon has the 800/1900 gsm bands. Since most of ATT uses 850Mhz, you can't just have one band and expect 3g/4g you need both.
Also just tried a tmobile straight talk SIM card in my Verizon one and still only get edge. To get better speeds you would have to get a different phone like the DNA, gs4, or an actual att or tmobile phone.
