just started to use swift key keyboard and i wanted to know how to remove the numbers in the symbol area (!?*&^%$#@) <---those symbols since it now has the option for the number row which im using but seems redundant to have the numbers where the symbols are which also removes a lot of other symbols that you can use.......so can anyone help please?
I don't think there is a way. I bet others have asked them to provide the option, but you should ask them to, too. Probably just a matter of time before they do offer an option to remove the numbers from the symbols keyboard. Been using SwiftKey for a few years now. Always been my favorite keyboard.

Neptune blue. Also under layout I ONLY have "numbers row" checked. And the voice key is disabled too, I don't know what it is or what it could be.

I think sevenploverthree's issue is with the main keyboard, while your issue is with the numbers/symbols keyboard? The only option that you have with the numbers/symbols kb is to reverse it (numbers on the left, symbols on the right). I just use that kb for numbers and symbols and disable my top row of numbers on the main kb. It would be cool to be able to configure what symbols showed though...

Oh my bad, I didn't realize you were talking about the symbols page, i thought you meant the main screen, like what g_money said. Yeah there's no way to change that, i say send them an email like what warrior said, i might send them one too because i like the sound of that feature

Can't see any differences than Gingerbread's keyboard, I'll try it, Thanks

Normal warning, all keyboards give you that warning when you enable them.
And this is very much like the ics KB port that's been around, on the market and in the apps section of android dev and hacking.

I deleted it because it was impossible to reach the buttons on the left when you hold down the full stop button.
Noticed my vibration on key press wasn't working, if you go to advanced settings mine was set to -1 ms changed value to 50 ms and all is well.

Now that the official swype for ICS has come out, can we see some themes being done??
and also.. is it possible to remove some of the useless buttons.. or modifying the smiley key to change those horrible smileys..
Thanks!
I believe posting any form of Swype on xda is considered warez, since Swype has asked xda to remove all Swype apks. Probably won't see that type of activity, unless something has changed.

Well, I don't see the harm in posting screenshots, as long as we don't share the app itself.
For example I have done something like this:
{

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I reduced brightness on buttons, and replaced all orange colors with ICS blue. Toughest part was the trace color.

Isnt it possible to make a metamorph file to theme swype? That way, we wouldn't have to distribute the apk

Only option that I can suggest is to use Handcent and its emoji plugin. I've been trying to get emojis to send from the stock messenger since the Evo LTE got upgraded to JB and that is the easiest way I have figured out. I send to and receive them from iPhones all the time. They do show up in my stock messenger when I look but they are in the dumbed down Android look not the colorful iPhone way. Handcent shows them correctly. It seems like the different manufacturers decided to leave them out for some reason :crying:

On rootbox there's stock support. But in messaging have you tried going into the settings? It's usually at the bottom where you have to enable them first, then when in a text press the menu key and a insert emoji button pops up

That's what we were saying. Google included it in the JB update so that's why you have it because your running a AOSP ROM, but the manufacturers (HTC & Samsung) decided to not include them in Sense & TW natively. I do know you can send them using Google Talk natively but no dice with the stock messaging apps, Handcent was my solution.
You can also use Chomp...need to install the emoji keyboard plugin though.

Yeah I forgot all about Chomp. Haven't used that since the Hero days. If I remember correctly from a thread over in the EvoLTE forums about this, people also had success using GoSMS also.
Yeah, I prefer to use the stock text messaging app. I do have Chomp installed for the rare occasion when someone on an iPhone (poor girl) sends me emojis then I will open Chomp just to see the emojis.
For some odd reason using go, chomp or handcent to send emoji to an iphone comes up with boxs and ?. Maybe its has to do its an iphone from cricket

How to disable 3-dot menu in GE based roms
Don't like them, cause GS4 has hardware menu button and they take extra space!
Thanks in advance!
I second this request would like to know of a mod or a work around we could do ours selves
I have GPE Rom by DANVDH Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539361
one thing i noticed after flashing this rom is that it changed my model number from SGH-M919 to GT-I950G
and wondering if that might be the cause because perhaps the apps have this 3dot menu for that phone model
but if I change the build.prop to this:
Original T-Mobile Galaxy S4 build.prop
ro.product.model=SGH-M919
ro.product.name=jfltetmo
ro.product.device=jfltetmo
would it solve my problem or cause other problems?
The three dots (expanded menu) is there for tablets. What are your dpi settings? Also, some apps have it hard coded to the three dots. It's just how it is. Mg dpi is 320 and root explorer does not have those three dots, but on tablet it does.

On the Nexus 5 like devices with software menus keys thats required there are no other way to access the menus, but on the devices with hardware menu keys like GS4 and others there no need for it plus they take extra spaces on the already small screens. By the way on the stock GS4 roms there no 3-dot menus!
I think thats need to be disabled on the rom level...
Check out this thread for more info:

What ROM are you running? Its definately a ROM thing. I thought you meant the three dots as shown in the picture with the zoomed in circle.

Symbols were already there. If you lose auto correct usually it means your beta version has expired and you need to update to the latest beta to get it back.
