In case you face the dreaded android.media error.. please install documents.apk to resolve it. (i removed that like a dodo).
Nice Work
Hey , you have been uploading many roms , but try and post screen shots and throw in some details.... :good:
Keeping it simple
Hi,
i did not upload screen shots since, most of the seekers know what that rom looks like. And all the work i have done are from the pure base. So posting it is duplication of data. I will try to upload the screenshot for the custom bit i did with the lenovo launcher soon.

This has been confirmed to work on the Nexus 4 too but sadly you need a deodexed ROM (preferably AOSP).
They're yet to release it for the Odexed (aka full stock) :/
This is also a way to achieve it (haven't tried it myself) but as he says early in the posts, flashable zip is not the point of that topic
If anyone has a (flashable zip) solution, feel free to share!

Thx mate , but my rom is odexed .
Sadly, mine is too and from what I can make up from the first link I gave there hasn't been a way to tweak it with an Odexed ROM.
Apparantly making it for an odexed rom is too difficult :/
My advice which I'm following too is just follow that first thread and see if someone posts an odexed flashable zip.
Only a few people claimed this one work for the Nexus 4 (somewhere in the latest comments). It didn't work for me as it failed to apply but it didn't mess up anything either so give it a shot.
For the rest, a lot of people are playing the waiting game (or deodex their ROM, which I cba doing myself)
I'm interested in it too.
Maybe an xposed module could work?
Anyway, if I find something I will tell you

Cheers, same for when I find something. But I've been on the lookout since that first topic got created and no one has come forward for an odexed version so I'm not even sure wether it's possible.
About an xposed module, my knowledge about it is far from high enough to go "mess up" the framework
(hoping for more comments here though )

Just had an idea:
1)Deodex the rom via titanium backup (http://androidforums.com/a75-all-things-root/676252-tutorial-how-deodex-rom.html)
2)Apply the quicksettings mod
2)Odex the rom again via Titanium Backup.
I don't know if this could work, and I can't try because I'm not on stock at the moment.
If you're on stock you can try this?
Thanks

I must try that some time tomorrow, thanks for that link
But "Odex the rom again", as I've understood deOdexed roms make it easier to work with and most custom roms are deOdexed so might just leave it there if it works via titanium I'll report back when I try it out

Let me know
HELLO ALL GRAND FELLAS!
I am here just to share the tablet ui mod for our galaxy grand. It can be done by any newbie but if you want the things to get faster you can view this thread.
NOTE: If you want to apply a new theme, you need to first change the dpi of your phone to 190/240(190 recommended) i.e editing the lines in build.prop. choose your desired theme and again change the dpi to 160!
REQUIREMENTS:
1. CM10.1 on your GRAND.
2. Xposed installer and AppSettings.
3. Your favorite launcher (I prefer golauncher), u can use nova launcher too or even holo launcher.
4. cm10.1update.zip and cm10.1restore.zip.
5. Root explorer or any app to edit your build.prop.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Install Xposed installer and AppSettings.
2. Go to Xposed installer and click on install. After installing go to modules and tick AppSettings.
3. Now go to AppSettings and set the dpi as follows--
(i)Browser: dpi=240
(ii)Contact: dpi=240
(iii)Messaging: dpi=182/240 (thanks to jomota7)
(iv)Phone: dpi=240
(v)Phone/Messaging storage: dpi=240
4. Go to root explorer to edit your build.prop, navigate to system folder, open build.prop and edit this line--
default->ro.sf.lcd_density=240
edited->ro.sf.lcd_density=160 5. Install go launcher or any other launcher that you prefer.
6. Copy both the .zip files(cm10.1update.zip & cm10.1restore.zip) to your extsdcard.
7. Reboot into recovery.
8. Browse to where you copied your both the files. And install cm10.1update.zip.
9. Reboot.
10. You can always go back to your default Phone ui. Just flash the cm10.1restore.zip and change the dpi in build.prop to 190 or 240 (I prefer 190, gives a perfect look to cm on Grand)
11. You don't need to wipe your data, cache or dalvik cache!
:good:Thats it! You got your Tablet ui on your GRAND!:good:
Downloads:
1. cm10.1update.zip-- http://d-h.st/bMd
2. cm10.1restore.zip-- http://d-h.st/nIu

For help people don´t see my post and karipari95 (i answered you) have this post: OPTIMIZE DPI system/app in 5'' screen
Using the right apps and DPI you transform your Grand duos in PC portable lol. For now only use my portable for flash CWM or root devides i fix from friends lol.
For now in test diferents DPI and increase font because some people need big fonts lol.
"CM10.1 on your GRAND."
Right.... Now understand this point. It's need install Rom cm10.1 first.
Lol I install in Rom cook by custom cook and error appear. Lol.
Put a uplink to tread for cm10.1. I need this phone operational 2 chip's, sow I not install cm.
Change DPI is good but some people don't like small font. Just need increase font in app settings or in settings android.
Thanks karipari95.

The tool OP has used doesn't patch stock ROMs, it only patches custom ROMs (AOKP, AOSP, CM, PA). Which means that to achieve real tablet Ui on stock ROM one has to do the job manually, and for this one needs to mod android.policy.jar, services.jar and frameworks-res.jar.
As for me I'm currently trying, and so far I only half succeeded.
Tablet mode works and apps like settings open in split view, and I managed to have the bottom mini tray to work (look at the screenshots below).
I still didn't figure out how to merge the notification top bar with the navigation bottom bar and I'm not sure I will be able to do it, but let's be optimistic:silly:...

As the title say, follow this guide to deodex your stock or stock based(Sling,VDT etc) roms.
In case you dont know what is odex and deodex, check out this awesome thread,,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224570
Before doing any thing Always Make Nandroid Backup
Things Needed
Java(https://www.java.com/en/download/)
Rooted Device
Usb debugging enabled(for pulling files)
Downloads
http://d-h.st/pCI#.U4cLVPmSwgM (based on Kamome tool)
Guide
extract the downloaded tool
run main.bat(be sure to run as admin)
select option 1 create working folder (if this give you subdirectory already then created continue anyway)
Now Select option 2( phone should be connected to pc with usb debugging enabled and phone should also be on charge only mode)
Select option 3 (this should take some time to deodex files)
this step is optional Use option 4 to add deodexed files to zip and flash them via recovery or you can push via adb(search google)
To flash from recovery
copy zip file( you created before ) in the phone
go to recovery
flash them and reboot
enjoy!

Q.there are many tools to deodex why use this?
A. With android 4.4 google changed something, now apps are also stored in system/priv-app, other tools available to deodex are only created to deodex file stored in system/app.
Q.Tool gives me some kind of java error at the start?
A.Install Java for your respective system e.g 32bit or 64bit. Also dont continue further if you get this message other wise you will get bootloop
Q.My phone is not detected by this tool?
A. install adb drivers..
Issues
1= On sling rom, when deodexed stock keyboard FC and weather widget also wont work(dont know why)

No way to find out the solution and In sling My front camera is not working.
Hope you are in Good Health. Take care Brother.

I am using b512 with the Pure Graphic HD, Pure Audio, Pure Performances,Bravia Engine mods(which you can find on the xda forums with a bit of searching(or you can use google and just add xdaforums somewhere in your search string) applied and it works great, it's fast, smooth, great battery life, and the image quality is enhanced ,Gaming Performance is also quite good, I have found no need to even use art runtime.

Lol the rom i mentioned i modded myself I used the b512 rom that is available on the xda forums with the following mods links are:
www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/download/q0a4crr8aq4gm24/PurePerformances%E2%84%A2X_Stock.1.4.zip
www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/download/zi7q6fk7cm9lclq/Pure_Graphic_HD_(Rendering_Version).zip
d-h(dot)st/32h
www(dot)dropbox(dot)com/s/l1m3q18g64yb0av/Sonyengines4.0%2B.zip
just use . instead of (dot)
credits for the mods go to original authors( couldn't find original thread of the bravia engine)
, you could too it's easy, you should start with a clean rom aka if possible format the usual parts : cache/dalvik/internal/data/cust , then follow the steps for reinstalling b510>reboot>setup phone> then start with the stock pure graphics hd> then pure performance stock>then pure audio stock and then bravia engine( i know it's a long process but it's definitely worth it in the end+(after you did it once you can just make a backup of your current system by using either Titanium Backup or twrp after you reflashed it so that you can just reinstall it if you ever want to try another rom..

Lol the rom i mentioned i modded myself I used the b512 rom that is available on the xda forums with the following mods links are:
www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/download/q0a4crr8aq4gm24/PurePerformances%E2%84%A2X_Stock.1.4.zip
www(dot)mediafire(dot)com/download/zi7q6fk7cm9lclq/Pure_Graphic_HD_(Rendering_Version).zip
d-h(dot)st/32h
www(dot)dropbox(dot)com/s/l1m3q18g64yb0av/Sonyengines4.0%2B.zip
just use . instead of (dot)
credits for the mods go to original authors( couldn't find original thread of the bravia engine)
, you could too it's easy, you should start with a clean rom aka if possible format the usual parts : cache/dalvik/internal/data/cust , then follow the steps for reinstalling b512>reboot>setup phone> then start with the stock pure graphics hd> then pure performance stock>then pure audio stock and then bravia engine( i know it's a long process but it's definitely worth it in the end+(after you did it once you can just make a backup of your current system by using either Titanium Backup or twrp after you reflashed it so that you can just reinstall it if you ever want to try another rom..

Yes you must first wipe the usual partitions with twrp and then follow instructions on the xda forum for how to install b510, after you set it up, you install twrp then install the mods without rebooting in between then wipe cache after they install then reboot and enjoy a better p6
Also as requested snaps
Will create and upload more if requested

Yes, related to Knox. I don't know about preload, but it should be related to the extra apps which comes pre-installed on some firmwares.
I think these ones are deletable too

Oh, yeah.
I don't have these. Probably from your carrier provider.
Right Sir. Maybe you could improve your tool to take care of knox crap and related like KLMS Agent etc. since all of these are unuseful for us root users?
BTW your script ran like a charm...thank you!!

Will I be able to choose which bloatware I want to remove or will it automatically remove all the bloatwares? Just curious about this because I don't want to remove some of the bloatwares on my phone. Can you also make a list of all the bloatwares that will be removed by this tool? Thank you!
