Nothing is working anymore

apn - tfdada
Port - 80
Mmsc - http://mms-tf.net
Multimedia proxy - mms3.tracfone.com
Multimedia port - 80
Within chompSMS, manually configure APN
Mmsc - http://Mmsc.cingular.com
Mms proxy - mms2.tracfone.com
Port - 80
That's what's been working for me the past 2 weeks

What do u mean straight talk locked the phone? Is it a straight talk galaxy s3? Or just a straight talk sim in an at&t galaxy s3?

att sim
straight talk said its blocked, att said its clear

Hey I have an at&t samsung galaxy s3 and it is on straight talk.
are you using the galaxy s3 from straight talk or did you use another galaxy s3 and brought it to straight talk.
turn off your phone, pull out battery and sim card, wait 5 mins put everything back into their respected slots and turn the phone back on.
if that doesn't work then go to the text messaging app and go to settings and check the message center number jot it all down and call straight talk and ask for the message center number.
if that still doesn't work tell straight talk that the phone is not blocked by at&t and just ask for a supervisor for better assistance because the other people are not correcting the problem.

My i747 works just fine with their service. I use Hangouts for messaging and all I had to do was to add the APN in system settings. You can grab the correct APN information on their site.

GNEX and straight talk MMS issues

Been working on this issue on and off for a couple days and thought it was time to ask the pros. I can send/rec sms messages with no problems. But if someone sends me a mms it has the download button but the picture will not download. I have double checked my APN settings and they match what Straight Talk says to use. This in an unlocked GNEX from the play store with the AT&T/Unlocked sim card they send out.
Thanks
this happens to me quite often but usually only on wifi or if the person decides to send like 5 pics at once, otherwise it will download the attachment just fine.
In the apn listing under MMSC, there is a line starting http://. Make sure the line starting with http:// has all the correct info. If not correct info press menu to see option to save changes.

make sure the proxy line starts with proxy, also try erasing the cingular apn setting the phone comes with.
My Unlocked Play Store Galaxy Nexus is doing the same thing on Straight Talk. Tried messing with putting the proxy back in and also turning off Wifi. Still the same issue as OP.
My first day with Straight talk and I'm having the same issue with MMS. All settings are right but I can't send out MMS
Hey guys. Make sure this is all correct too. I was getting very disappointed with Straight Talk about this. Somehow this got erased or reset having never entered that menu.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1635040
P.S. I use Google Voice now but I still receive MMS from straight talk regarding my bill. I got sick of entering all of the APN. Now I only include
Straight Talk
att.mvno
Thats it. Works like a charm. Have never had any issue. I've only been distributing my Google Voice number for about 2 years having frequently shopping carriers. But like I said I still receive MMS from Straight Talk.

I cannot send Pictures on my S4... Tmobile...

Hey guys so I went from an iPhone 4s to Galaxy S4. I disabled iMessenger on my iPhone already. I activated a new Sim card for the S4. I can receive pictures but I cannot send them. Why is this so?

I have this same problem. Well mine gets "server response error" I called Tmobile for my problem and they made me reset apn and made me reset my connection to the closest tower around my area. And then after that he couldn't me but to send a engineer to check the towers around here and he said he would call me back in 3 days today is the 2nd day. But my brother's phone sends just fine and we are on same plan.
Edit: I also had the s3 before this s4 and it had the same problem so I think it must be a problem with my phone line. I been looking up other ways to fix this and all the forums I tried, nothing worked.

I have Mobile Data turned on in settings ... Data Roaming Checked. APN is fast.t-mobile.com
Network mode is LTE / GSM / WCDMA (auto connect)
Auto network operators...
For some reason I don't see 4G or anything next to my full network bars?
My phone is rooted... does that screw it up?
I had to manually add a new APN, and then manually add the APN settings in GoSMS Pro to get it to send MMS for me.

Also I have to be off of WiFI for it to send MMS. I have to manually turn off WiFi and then once on mobile data again I can send the MMS with no issues. Hope this helps. My phone is rooted as well, but it wasn't sending the MMS even before I rooted.

This makes no sense to me, I can't be on WiFi at all if I'm sending MMS to anyone.
s4

Send a pic to your phone from your Gmail. [email protected]. It will work with wifi calling after that.
It has to be from the Gmail your logged into your phone with. Unknown why this fixes it but it does.

Not sure if this will help but be sure your mobile data is on. I on on at&t and mostly have to have the data on to send MMS. Some of the customs Roms like wicked sensation has a zip file to allow sending MMS via WiFi..
Yea I leave mobile date connected even when on WiFi... Looks like flashing a ROM might do the trick since the issue seems to be related to the stock OTA update.

yeah I love it when the updates have added features at no extra cost that you cannot get rid of. also, check into the PAC man rom. it is 4.3 based and is very stable. its a hybrid of Paranoid, AOKP, and CM. tons of options and excellent battery life, I get avg 18hrs no problems. I have issues with most of the 4.4 roms, seems like somewhere something sucks the battery dead. but still a WIP.
Is there anyway to maybe just get this feature.. like from an Xposed mod or something? And my problem is receiving not sending. I can send them just fine.

Having the same issue on A S3 here also. Any news on this?
I saw on another forum that once the plan expired and you renewed it the problem fixed its self.. and it DID!!! My plan refilled on the 12th. It took a few days but about noon today my phone said insert SIM. Puzzled I just powered off, took the batter and SIM out and reversed and powered back on. Thinking of what that person said I sent myself a MMS .. and it worked! Had my girlfriend send my a picture too and it work. I also sent her one. So yea.. MMS seems to fix its self when you refill you plan after it expires. Hope this helps and works for others!

Ok, thanks. She renews at the end of the month so we'll see what happens.
Had exact same issue on my wife's s3 after updating to 4.3.... allot of bugs and junk came with that update... Fixed it by first while on screen where you can enter newapn I clicked menu and reset to default. Than I took sim out and put into another phone and sent picture message to it on another phone. Than inserted back into her s3 and it started working. Maybe you don't even need another phone. .. Just try to reset apn to default and turn off than turn on without sim than turn off and put sim card in and enter the apn settings than save and try again. Hope this helps.
Try to change the MMS proxy: from, mms3.tracfone.com to, mms2.tracfone.com
I'm on net 10 (same stuff different flavor) that fixed my issues with MMS messages.

This. I'm on a 90 day plan. Doesn't expire until April 27. So, is there some way to get Straight Talk to, in effect, do whatever it is that's done when an account is refilled, while still maintaining the time I have left? It seems to me that if so many different people are reporting this as the only solution (and multiple searches reflect this to be the only thing that works), if there were some way to get Straight Talk to do it manually, that'd be a great fix.

My girlfriend is on straight talk and has no issues. Here is the APN she uses:
APN:tfdata
MMSC:http://mms-tf.net
PROXY:mms3.tracfone.com
PORT:80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN TYPE:default, supl, mms, admin, fota, hipri (no spaces after commas)
everything else is blank. If this doesn't work try changing the proxy to 66.209.11.3
Manually putting in the information works but straight talk has a data apn app on the play store and it will walk you through the steps, for me when I got to the bearer I just clicked LE and I am on LTE right now with straight talk.

I tried that, the settings on the APN Settings app didn't help. It seems like the settings are from older phones. Once I applied the settings (please see attached) I lost data connection and the mms still didn't work.
This is the instructions Straight Talk e-mailed me:
APN PROGRAMMING FOR MOST PHONE MODELS:
Once you have reached your phone's APN (Access Point Name) settings, create a new APN with the following values.
APN Name: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
Port: 80
MMSC: h**p://mms-tf.net (replace ** with tt)
MMS Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS Port: 80
Delete the current APN from your phone.
Reboot your phone.

Could be a SIM card issue, but I had just gotten this SIM card last week. When I googled around it seems like some people were able to solve it via APN settings. Just not sure how they did that before I go out and get a new SIM card.

Thank you so much! That fixed it! The only thing that was different was Port should not have been set, but instead set the port for MMS Port. Also the APN type was changed to: default, mms, supl.
I wonder why Straight Talk would give mis-leading information? I guess they didn't throughly test out their settings before telling users to set it.
Thanks again!

What is the difference between Port and MMS port?
So the right way to set up APN settings is leave the port alone, and set the mms port to 80?

Really? Not sure if I had downloaded the right app. Does the app look like the screen shot I had a few posts ago? I couldn't find the settings you had in that app.
Hey guys,
I'm on AT&T G3 on AT&T and have no problems, but from years of tinkering with various devices, one thing that often worked for me was instead of relying on the APN settings in settings was to use Go SMS Pro and go into the advanced settings and change the APN settings in there.
Without rhyme or reason, I've had phones absolutely refuse to work with MMS using the correct stock APN settings but work just fine with Go SMS Pro and Go SMS Pro's settings (I think that's why they included the feature in the first place.)
The funny thing is that the stock messaging app on G3 is the first one I've liked enough to use instead of Go SMS Pro...
If that works, the issue is probably with LG and not the carriers so try it out and if it works, bug the hell out of LG.

I'm also having the same problem with my G3 on Straight Talk, and am trying to find a solution for it until I stumbled on this thread. I have no idea what you meant by "space instead of a period in the mmsc proxy".
My MMSC setting is set as: h**p://mms-tf.net [I can't post links on my posts yet, replace ** with tt]
MMS proxy: mm3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MMC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,hipri
I've also googled around and see what other people have as their APN settings on straight talk and the only thing that they had different was:
Auth Type: PAP
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
I changed my APN settings to that, but I still have the same problem with mms.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Straight Talk with Zenfone 2 - Anyone doing this?

Hi guys,
I configured my Zenfone 2 to work with straight talk, and I can send and receive sms, send MMS, and have 4g data...I cannot however receive MMS..I have the option to download, and nothing happens after tapping to do so. I have spoke with straight talk, and of course they're a little baffled...
I've tried the APN settings for TFDATA and the one listed on the site:
FIELD SETTINGS
APN RESELLER
MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS PROXY proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS PORT 80
MMS_APN RESELLER
Has anyone else tried the combination of Zenfone 2 and Straight Talk AT&T? Anyone have working MMS (receiving)?
I also find that the default messaging app keeps telling me "SIM2" is not supported...I'm only using SIM1, and have disabled auto-retrieve for SIM2.... More weirdness
Any help would be appreciated!
Joe
What phone is the sender using? Messages from my daughter's iPhone sometimes do that, and did before I got the ZF2 as well. Also, what app are you using for your MMS? I have never used the Asus one.
My mms wasn't working til i Changed the APN type to- default, mms, supl, hipri with the Straight talk AT&t APN Settings from the website.
I had to switch to something like go sms, hangouts hates straight talk.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Free mobile app

So far, their service has been great in Wisconsin..It is far less spotty than Sprint and Tmobile in my area, but I have yet to test the "north woods" ...Very much worth $45 a month with no hidden fees.
