Can't use in-app shops for some reason - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so I got my HTC One M8 2 weeks ago and I had no problems with it except for this. I can't use any of the in-app shops like let's say in Plants vs Zombies 2 or Tiny Death Star. I tried everything I could think of. I tried searching on the web but i couldn't find one this about it.
I have screenshots of what i get when I try but i can't post the links yet, it says that I'm not connected to the internet (I am) or that there are issues connecting to the play store (play store works fine).
What should I do?

Gameloft games

I had a Samsung Galaxy Tab which I downloaded a few Gameloft games for it as part of the UK promotion.
Is it possible to install them on the GS2
no, you have to buy them again, at least im speaking of legal methods

I'd probably give Gameloft an email. It seems a bit of a knobbish thing if they won't let you download them again.
Dang, I hate all this not-being-on-the-market crap. nVida and Tegra is annoying me most because I know the SGS2 could handle those games fine.
I wondered this very same question.
I too have a Galaxy Tab and I too, want to re-download my games. However, it seems impossible.
If anyone else has had joy with Gameloft support, please do share your info.
Im in france now, and if you download them from your mobile, gameloft remembers your downloads for 90 days. I just checked for you and I can see the three games I bought under my downloads. I also tried downloading them again, and it worked with no problem. I downloaded all three games (eternal legends, starfront and dungeon hunter 2) from my SGS and installed them on my SGS2, and they all start, but non of them work -_- But this must be a because its the SGS version and it simply doesnt work with the hardware of the SGS2
Its annoying I agree, but I guess we have to wait a little for gameloft to make the games work on the SGS2, and perhaps than we can redownload them on the new device. (or use google) Since I dont feel like paying twice for one game.

[Q] Is anyone else having problems with the Android Market this morning?

I woke up this morning and tried to buy the slew of 10 cent apps, but I cannot purchase anything and most of the pages just don't load. Every time I try to buy something it tells me there is an error processing my purchase. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue or if it's just my new G Nexus thats acting up.
It's not the phone. Even if you try to buy from market.android.com from a computer it is saying the same thing.
Guess these problems have likely to do with the millions of users who want to download all the cheapos.

Pretty much what I'm thinking too many people hammering the servers . Figured google would handle this better but perhaps they weren't excepting it to be this demanding. I was able to purchase Need for Speed Shift and install, it but Spirit HD says this: You have already purchased this item and the order is still being processed. If you'd like, you can check your order status at anytime. :/(EDIT: just went through woo)
and when i go to check it (goes to google wallet) it doesn't show anything woo lol.. oh well the day isn't over yet guess just try to make your purchases and eventually they will go through
And I made the purchased on the site, android market app was giving me those error processing errors too.
Most of them are throwing a dollar app these days.

Something like this but even worse happened to some guy in a German forum. He purchased SwiftKey and they refused his order five hours later and now the price is up to normal again. :-D
As all interesting apps are already have been bought earlier I can deal with these market issues pretty good.
Hope there'll come out some more breakers in the next days.
Yea Market is misbehaving. I'm trying to buy some of those $.10 apps on sale today and it keeps erroring out. I did manage to buy one, but it won't download. Tried on my Transformer and market.android.com
I managed to buy 5-6 of them, but now I'm having the same issues... even on the computer won't work
If it is an issue with authorizing/processing purchases, that would be a Google Checkout/Google Wallet issue, not a Market issue.
Had issues, but it seems to work for me now.
I thought I was alone...

GTA III for our T989!

I was able to buy and install GTA III but I receive the following error when attempting to download the additional files.
"Data download authorization error. is the time on your device set correctly?"
Am I the only one seeing this?
Downloaded and installed fine for me. I have been playing it all morning... many many memories
GTA III for our phone!
Edit: After buying it on the web store, I can't install it to my device. Seems the web market messed up on compatibility.
Rockstar said at 1st it would only work on tegra devices. I checked the market today and there's a version for our phones now as well.
GTAIII SGS2
I was a bit disappointed that we weren't getting it as I beat this game on the pc years ago. Now I can replay it on a portable thanks to rockstar games.. If you haven't played this game before, I would recommend you try it. It's what made gta what it is today.
Now if we can only get some gta2 or the london missions.
nice find
but not a big fan of GTA games myself
i used to like them way back then, but now i find them boring...
but it's still fun for those stressful days, when you simply want to blow some steam

Nope, Im getting this error as well, already checked the time, I'm using the network settings...
correction...I think it has to do wit the network I was on. I switched over to try a partial d/l tethered to my phone and it started right up. try d/ling over a different connection
Sorry for my newbiness but when you go to that link, how come it shows 3 different versions?
GTA III
GTA 3
and Grand Theft Auto 3?
And they all have different # of reviews?
i was pondering the same thing as well
probably for different phones?

I'm getting this same error message on my transformer. I've tried dowloading on two different wifi connections with "use network time" on and off to no avail. My time is correct, yet it keeps giving me that message.
Havent played any gta for a long time. This is awesome!
Plays great and controls are good. Great framerate but the resolution is a little low, although understandable as theres a lot of different hardware for android.

I wish they'd fix it. The market link on the pc won't even send it to my phone even though it let me buy it.

maybe your date is wrong?
im getting error bcoz my date and time were wrong
but when i corrected it, the error is gone and download started
Use network settings
Hey, I had the same problem on my Acer Iconia 10 inch tablet. At first I thought it's the crappy wi-fi, then I just set date and time to network settings in the tablet's menu and - even though the time was wrong by 7 hours, it worked. the problem is that many wi-fi networks don't have the proper time set on them (the one I used is Time Warner in NY), so the downloader gets some error. you can set your time back after you're done downloading.

Worms HD - Xperia Play optimized version wanted

I know it's not a new game, but...I was looking for this optimized version for our Xplays very long time, almost one year. There were only two videos, one review and that's all, nowhere on internet anything more, only discussion where people bought/downloaded it. I didn't believe that it really exists. I downloaded tons of different versions but even one wasn't optimised for gamepad, even the one from Flexion store which I downloaded in Fun&Apps app (I don't know how it's called in english version, I'm from Czech republic). And yesterday evening I downloaded this apk from some polish forum - and it is really OPTIMITZED!
So here is the link ("official", uncracked version, you must buy it after 60 minutes):

If somebody find or make a cracked version (which could be played offline I mean, cause I don't have data connection only wifi at home), let me know through PM, I would be grateful.

Then this is not the place for you. Cracked/Warez apps are not allowed in XDA.

Maybe if you tried not to be so wise and clever and read carefuly what I wrote...I mean cracked not cracked to play it for free but offline. By the way I bought this app right in the moment when I realized its optimized. However I didn't pay for limitations and playing it at home, when I buy something for my money I want to play it everywhere I want to do with this thing everything cause this was made. And if I cannot I must to find different way.I don't want a cracked version which I can play without paying for it (when a payed for it yet), I want to play it without wifi/data. And this of course is in most of cases possible only with cracked version and this is the reason why I wrote "give me know through PM".If you have nothing related to this game, don't spam it here with these "important" comments.
The mere mention of 'cracked' and 'asking for crack' speak for themselves.
Game working although need to buy it, the price is just to cheap. Why need a crack if the game is fully optimized?
All game that i try some of them is crack but not optimize, it really waste of time to find in the time like this.
More, the game version already too old and that why the latest version dont support XPlay gamepad, same like the latest Dead Space.
That's EA
(If you buy the game, you can play it OFFLINE)

OnePlus 7T (T-Mobile) for $199 - But can I use it?

Greetings all. Saw this price mentioned recently in an email. Said if I used the OnePlus app in Android, I could get the special price on the phone. But despite having several older Android devices, a Nvidia Shield and a Nvidia Shield Pro, etc... I couldn't find any devices that would let me install the OnePlus app. So I gave up and didn't worry about getting the device, despite the great specs for the $$$.
Today, OnePlus ran the same price for web purchases at 7:30am PST. And I was able to purchase a grey T-Mobile OnePlus 7T for about $231 shipped, with tax, etc.
Now, I'm not REALLY buying this to use as a phone. IF I could somehow use it on Xfinity Mobile as a backup to my iPhone 12 Pro Max if needed, that would be nice. But it's not required.
One of the big reasons I wanted the phone was simply to control my Sonos wireless speakers. I have two Play:1's, and two Play:5 (Gen 1) speakers that I use around my condo. They are fairly small, but have great audio quality, and a lot of the time I use them to listen to podcasts... which they are excellent for. But I can always use another phone / tablet to choose what music to play in what room, etc. Gonna get the battery replaced in my old iPhone 8 Plus next week, and that will give me a device in one room, and the 7T will go in another.
Bottom line - If I don't plan on using the device as a phone. I don't intend to install a sim when I get it, just charge it, power it on, and use it on my wifi network... am I gonna have any trouble with that? I see lots of posts about flashing / rooting / unlocking, and I'm wondering if by buying a T-Mobile phone that I WON'T be running on their network, if I'm gonna have problems setting it up for basic apps at home?
Many thanks for any replies.
P.S. I've got a older Fire HD 10 tablet from Amazon. I bought it, installed the Google Store app, and installed the Sonos app shortly after I got it. I can STILL control my Sonos system from that device, but I've been getting an error for well over a year now about my device OS not being compatible, and how I can't use the software to control my Sonos speakers. It keeps working, and since that tablet is TERRIBLY slow at doing anything else... that's pretty much all I use it for. And I'm worried if I wipe and reload it, I won't be able to get the Sonos app working again. I tried on a cheap tablet a buddy bought, and got the same error... and never got the Sonos app to work with my speakers. So I think if you didn't "set it up" before that error took place, maybe it will never work? Dunno, but that's one more reason I wanted a "newer" device capable of running the "newer" Android / Oxygen OS'es, so I can control my speakers, surf the web, and don't have to worry about the device being unresponsive so often like the Fire HD 10 is. Thanks again.
Airplane mode, wifi on, should work great
If it helps, I bought one off FB marketplace not too long ago. Didn't know it was TMO but the process was smooth to get international.
@HueyT already answered your most important question. As long as it is sim unlocked you can use a different carrier if needed as a backup phone, although I didn't check the tower compatibility as I have AT&T.
Got the device yesterday, and took it out and set it up today. The T-Mobile branding is a little annoying, but obviously only flashes when the device is booting up. I went ahead and setup my Google account, setup just the apps I wanted from scratch, ran the OS update to the latest official OS, and it's works great.
As I suspected, with 8GB of RAM, it's hella fast, has loads of storage space, and plays videos from my Synology NAS via VLC faster than any other device I own. I'm REALLY happy with the device, and may use it for other things around the house, but it's working great as another option to control my Sonos wireless speakers. Cheers!
