Hey all,
So I live in the great country down-under (Australia) and am excited that we are going to be getting the G3 on Monday. However I just discovered via this soure (http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=6361&c=lg_g3_d855k_td-lte_lg_b2) that we will be getting the D855K version. This irritates me, as I am big on the developement side of things (always flashing ROMS) and am worried that if a ROM is released for D855, I won't work on the D855K. So my question is, is this a legitimate concern? Or will ROMS with D855 work fine, its just a letter. Or is there some way to change the model number? I've been waiting for months for this device and to have it only ~36 hours away from release is great, I don't really want to order off eBay and wait for shipping from the UK if I don't have to.
Thanks for your attention!

Hi all,
Today my LG Optimus G E975 finaly arrived. I live in Europe (NL) so I waited for this model to not get in trouble with frequency bands in a few months when LTE will become available here. According to the specs I wouldn't have a problem with LTE with at least half of the providers.
My provider probably will not implement it soon so I can switch to a good one at that time. Now I have slow UMTS 364kb/s but eey it is unlimited for 50ct a day. streaming over 10G a month. When I putted my simcard in it had no problem detecting anything it even changed the language of the phone to my own, i wouldn't have a problem with english but ok it is easy.
Qslide apps are in the notification bar. It comes with JB 4.1.2 straight from the box and had the right plug for me. Both English and European.
It even updated E97510a-OPEN-HK to E97510b-OPEN-HK, again something i didn't expect from a phone ordered internationally (updates are a B.eautiful I.ntelligent T.easing C.harismatic H.ermaphrodite here for outside phones) so I am very pleased.
So obviously what to do first with this phone? I don't need root yet as I am not intrested in trying new roms in the next couple of weeks but what about themes and tweaks? Any European users that know a place where they would sell the right bumper or otterbox and/or screen protectors that I don't need to ship from US or asia? I don't feel like waiting for weeks or pay for express delivery to double the price.

Just for clearity

European and UK plug
don worry noone will remove anything..
Edit ..
hey but there is nothing we wanted link of tools r roms
Sent from my LG-F180L using xda app-developers app
root, freegee, cm10.1 port, show off
I'm reeally confused as well as tensed about compatibility of ROMs between E970, E973 and the E975......which I bought. I owned a ZTE Blade which ruled in moddability, lets see whats the future for Optimus G !
Bump. I just bought my E975 from Mobicity (Australia). I don't really understand whether roms for other models will be supported. I'm upgrading from my HTC Desire HD (she has served me well) and would love to get back to CM10.1 or AOKP as soon as possible.
The Australian rom is the best so far for stock JB. I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now.

Hello everyone!
I've done some reading on the forums (so I hope I haven't missed a similar topic)
and I have a few questions to ask. Being the proud UK owner of a G2, the best phone I've ever used hands down, I am definitely ready to move onto the G3 !
I am seriously thinking of buying the Korean version - 32 Gig, 3 G of RAM sound more futureproof than 16 Gig, 2 for the same price nevertheless. However, I have a few questions for anyone who either has knowledge or has owned a Korean product before.
1) LTE bands and frequence. According to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodafone_UK#Radio_frequency_summary Vodafone, my provider, uses both band 20 and 7 for LTE. Now there are three LG variants, the L, S and K. According to this: http://optimusforums.com/threads/ko...ide-lte-band-differences-pros-and-cons.13134/ , it's just the L that has one of the two LTE bands used by Vodafone (And seemingly by most UK providers). Am I reading this wrong, or is it that the other two models would not support LTE?
2) Warranty - I guess this goes out to those who have actually owned one In the (un)likely event something goes wrong, what's the process of dealing with it - shipping it back and forth to Korea? I assume LG doesn't support Korean products locally.
3) Modding/Roming. Once more based on : http://optimusforums.com/threads/ko...ide-lte-band-differences-pros-and-cons.13134/, most mods that come out come out for the international models. Is this a reality? I've never been following models/variants much, but is it quite possible that buying from a Korean market may result in me never getting access to the good mods out there?
Thanks for reading, for answering (and for possibly trolling me ), and hope my questions make some sense.
After much Dilemma myself, I was in the same position as you are now in, I couldn't find any info on which model to go for, the F400K or the F400S variant, I spoken to my carrier and they gave me the gsm frequencies (I am in ireland) and then spoken/live chat with the supplier of the LG G3 from Ebay and they also directed me in the right way. I received my Brand New LG G3 F400K yesterday from Korea, and it work brilliantly. From my knowledge here in Ireland we run on the same basebands as you in the UK.
Perhaps the supplier of the phone can also direct you in the right direction, I initially ordered the F400S, but after discussing it with the supplier it became apparent that the F400K was the one for me.
Hope that helps you. I have brilliant 3G coverage here (4G not over here in my location yet) so I cant guide you on this.
Thanks
There is a good youtube video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj_KUqkH4oQ on Korea models too if your importing. Shows whats in the box and talks about the pros and cons.

I wouild definitely upgrade from the S3 to the LG G3, I have had the Samsung S2, S3, S4, HTC One (M7), LG G2 and now the LG G3 and by far its the best phone I have ever owned, admittidely I have only had it a few days, but you can completely see the difference between them, I used to love Samsung, but ever since I had the LG G2 I am now a True LG Fan, Samsung have gone in the way of putting too many gimmicks into their phones, and also releasing different cariants of their flagship, ie, S5, and now S5 prime...etc. Definitely worth the purchase for the LG G3. Well worth the money. Battery life is great, Camera is Awesome, its quick and responsive with the 3GB Ram. The Brightness/Contrast is by far the best I have seen on any phone, The Display is awesome, QHD at its best. I love my G3
Hey all,
Just a question I've got out of pure curiousity, would the LG G3 LTE-A (LG Prime, LG G3 Prime) work in countries apart from Korea?
This one for example: http://tinyurl.com/po27mqs
I know it's the version made just for Korea to work with their LTE-A bands, but it does say it's unlocked, so could you use it internationally in a country like the US or Australia? As I said I'm just curious, but if someone bought one and wanted to use it like the D855 International version, could they use it like the D855 in other countries, but with the slightly upgraded hardware?
And as for the software-side, they wouldn't be able to just flash updated D855 KDZs, right? They'd have to wait for the software to be released for that specific model of phone (Seeing as LG is based in Korea it wouldn't be that long of a wait)
Hi,
I've got F460K from Korea and it works fine in Poland. I have not any problems with this phone, besides of this, that there isn't many custom roms for that specific model. A few days ago my LG got even upgreade to L :]

Ah okay cool, cheers man! If anyone else wants to say any more, feel free.
Dear Friends,
I am a US consumer. About to buy a Verizon LG G3. My number # 1 priority in a phone is, more of less development support for a phone. Number of ROMs being developed, how many choices, mods, frequent updates, and etc.
Clearly, the International version D855 is the King. Number 2 is probably D851, the T-Mobile US Variant with the Unlocked bootloader. International versions are expensive and hard to find in America and it's more or less the same for the T-Mobile version.
I browsed the Development section for all G3 variants on XDA, and surprisingly, the number 3 variant is the Verizon, US Model! Which is fine by me, because it can be unlocked and used on AT&T and I am moving to Verizon soon, for the better coverage and LTE speeds.
I am lined up to pull the trigger on buying the Verizon G3, as we speak, but I need some help confirmation from you guys:
1. Is it true, that with the BUMP'd/TWRP recovery, the Verizon G3 is as good as the Unlocked bootloader models, like D851 and D855? If not, what is the difference, disadvantage?
2. How would you rate the Development support for the Verizon variant of the LG G3?
Thank you for your help! I have the seller lined up, please respond as soon as you can, I would really appreciate it!

Hi there.
1. On all G3 variants you will have no problems whatsoever with rooting and flashing TWRP. With or without BL unlocked. And yes you are correct that if the BL is locked then there is the Bumped method.
2. I agree that the King in Development is the D855 BUT the Verizon also has fantastic support and most ROMS here support ALL variants.
I have a D855 but to be honest if today I would have bought a Verizon with the amount of support there is, it would not make a huge difference...also Development is constantly moving...forward.
Ratings? Well if D855 is a 5 then Verizon is also in par with D851 these days at an equal 4 or 3.5
To give an example, have a look here in BlissPop and have a look at how much Development is available for all variants http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-blisspop-v2-0-ls990-t3022685
BlissPop is FANTASTIC!!!!
I hope that my post was in time as I only saw it tonight and if I was of any help please press the thanks button.
Regards.

if you mean all variants i think so am not sure on dual sims..
according to LG problem was fixed since october 2016. but even new phone still get bootloop. the latest ive remeber was a april-16
well its not 100% guarantee but ask for first 3 digits of serial number. and try getting newer.. or at least from 601
that meas 601 means 6 its year 2016 and 01 month january. so a 510 will be 2015 october. from 601 up. the better.
try getting a phone from your country, if you get a phone from other country you must send it there not your country. so as long as it has warranty send it and will be fixed.
My LG G4 (Verizon VS986) has been good to me. It came on MM but i ran the downgrade and went to stock 13b and then 13b rooted, and its been great. Never a single boot-loop, no problems at all. I do suggest, If you have the option to get a NON-Verizon variant, preferably one with an unlocked boot loader, I suggest going to that variant of G4. Unless you don't care about rooting, or any ROM's, then Verizon will do just fine!
don't buy a G4... they have extremely ****ty customer service, they lie a lot and the phone itself has tons of issue
Focus on any other brand except HTC
