I bricked my phone....

So i was messing around on rom tool box and tried to install some fonts and bricked my phone! Now it wont power on! Im so mad at myself... i tried everything, battery pull, battery out for 2 hours, left it charging all night and nothing. Any body got any ideas as to what happened? And also i only had it for 5 months so its still under warranty, do you think tmobile will know it was rooted? There was no custom rom installed just a kernal. Any thoughts?

Download Odin 1.85. Pull the battery out then plug the USB cable in to the phone and computer. While holding both volume keys put the battery back in. Should get you to download mode. But before that try to get to recovery and restore a nand. Anymore questions feel free to pm me

The phone does nothing, no download mode, no recovery, does not power on, does not even charge. I have tried all methods to get the darn thing to boot. Thanks guys for the input. I called tmobile and they can replace/exchange for me. Just hoping they dont find that i rooted it.

If you tried all those methods and couldn't get it to turn on then chances are that won't be able to get it to turn on either..
Sent and most importantly they won't be able to see that it was rooted

AT&T update

Not sure if you guys have seen it but there seems to be a software update for LG Optimus G from AT&T in US. Has anyone installed it or know what it does?

I don't have any idea what it is but, I'd avoid installing it.
That could be a patch for some problem with the bootloader.

+1 anyone know how to turn off ota updates?
I don't know how to turn them off but, you can probably just ignore it for the most part.
It's a small update, I did install it but I ended up bricking my G uninstalling Google Books and Google Music.
If anyone has updated, please verify it didn't do away with local phone search. Samsung did that on the SGS3 because they were afraid Apple would sue them.

I updated my phone. Other than changing the software version from E97010l to E97010o, I haven't noticed anything different. Same kernel and baseband version. I was even able to re-root the device.
Phone search still there

I noticed the update right after I turned it on. Still seems to be a tad more responsive LG keyboard.

I've herd of some over heating issues with the European version where it would get to hot and would not allow certain action to be done. So maybe that's what the update fixed.

Funny prior to the update the phone did feel a little warm in my pocket. It does feel a tad bit cooler.

Galaxy Note 2 wont turn on Help

My Galaxy Note 2 just started acting very strange recently.
When I try turning it on, it shows a battery with a circle in the middle then turns off and keeps trying to turn back on showing the battery with the circle. I'm assuming this is low battery but its not because just a few minutes earlier it was working and had 85% battery.
I can use Vol+home and get into twrp recovery without a problem and it shows 85% battery but I don't want to reset my phone right now? Does anyone know of a solution?
Also strangely yesterday I was having trouble trying to get it to charge it took a couple of attempts at inserting the charger for it to work.
I have a SGH-I317M running Cleanrom if that matters...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried to turn it on without battery? Just pull it out then connect the mobile to a charger (or PC). If it will open up, then suspect from your battery. Otherwise, might be something different causing this. (Because battery or electricity malfunctions screwing electronic devices and set them to act bizarre, I saw that before)
I just tried that and no response whatsoever are you sure it can turn on even without the battery and just from an outlet?
I had the same problem with my Galaxy S2. I had 3 batteries and have bought 2 more....all 5 do the same thing. USB OTG stopped working at the same time, though it still connects to a PC. Also my yellow triangle disappeared at the same time when the metal connectors seperated from a USB cable and got stuck in the port. I suspect that it fried something.
I tried different ROMs before I gave up last week and bought a GN2 instead.

So my only option is to get it replaced for another one :/
Could this be the sudden death syndrome? What does that look like?
What about the exynos error?
Have you tried clearing cache and dalvik cache in twrp?

I just tried that, I even gave up and did a factory reset. Same result it keeps trying to turn on and then shows empty batter then turns back off and repeats that.
I also left it in the charge until it reached 100% still same problem.
Do you have a second battery? Try it with a 2nd one. If not working than return and claim warranty.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
I don't have a second battery, I'm going to have a little issue if I return it because its rooted with a custom rom... Will they be able to figure that out?
Can you boot in download mode? If yes then can Odin recognise the phone?

Try to flash a stock rom for your variant and see if it fixes it!

Atleast now you're on stock rom. Find a nother battery if possible or return it.
Good luck.

I still have the issue of the custom binary thing showing more than one... hopefully they don't look at that.
If your phone doesn't turn on I doubt they'll find out

Maybe the triangle away boot image can be flashed manually via odin then binary reset. But I am not sure if it is even possible.

[Q] welp?

So i bricked my s3 and i sent it to Samsung but it was rooted and it can't be fixed..but the thing is that i plug it to to a AC oulet and the battery animation comes does it mean that it still works or can anyone tell me if i can get it fixed? thanks in advance
If the battery animation comes up when you plug it in means that it isn't bricked. If it were bricked, the most you would get out of it is a red led when plugged in.
You're going to have to give a lot more information if you want anyone to help you out. Did you flash something? Does it turn on? What was the last thing you did to it before this happened?

That is the usual symptom when testing for a brick, but it's not limited to it. In the end, if you cannot boot system, recovery, or download mode, then you're pretty much either hard bricked or suffering a major hardware failure, regardless of what any other tests may suggest.
