Your not the only one. I had the same problem and only fix was restarting the phone. I think its a bug that came wuth the kitkat upgrade

Call problem after jellybam 4.2.1

Hi guys, I just flashed my phone with the latest jelly am 4.2.1. And I have two serious problems.
First, after the installation, my phone has problem on making a phone call. It would be silent or a annoying cracking sound. Sometimes, when I try pick up a phone call, I could not hear anything from the phone. BTW, this only happens to jellybam ROM.
Second, the camera has problems too. I get error messages, "cannot find camera" and "gallery has stopped".
There are still couple issues, but they are not that important to me. Can someone tell me if I can fix these problems? Thank you!

Problem with notification sound

I don't know why this started but it is very annoying. My speaker works because I played music while my phone didn't make any noise and it worked.
But when pressing the volume keys, the little "boop" doesn't sound and when I restart the phone, the animation and sound turning off doesn't sound but the boot animation sound works and everything is normal, at least for awhile anyway.
Basically its like all software sounds just don't work except playing music thru the speaker.
Is there any way to fix this?
Oh I'm all stock, no flashing or ROMs, anything.

I'm seeing this as well. Seems to happen on any kernel I try, and only since the JB update. BTW, I am using stock JB rom, rooted/unlocked.

Annoying audio issues with 4.3 ROMs

The problem I'm having with every 4.3 ROM I've tried is that when I switch back to sound from vibrate, my notification sounds, ringtones, and alarms don't work. Only thing that fixes it is a reboot, but after toggling from sound to vibrate, then back to sound, it starts again. Any help? Thoughts? Ideas?

90+ views, and judging by the huge number of responses, I'm going to guess I'm the ONLY one with this issue on 4.3 ROMs. Really?

If you dirty flashed CM 10.2 on top of CM 10.1. that could be what's causing the errors. It's alway recommended to clean flash whenever there's a .1 Android update.

One of the first things I did when I started noticing problems was reflashed, so that wouldn't be the issue.. I have V4A installed, and thought maybe it was causing problems so I didn't install it when I reflashed, but that didn't help either. I'm puzzled.

Hmm, then I'm clueless. Has anyone tried re-flashing stock through Odin?
Did that about a week ago, or else I would try

Your fine ! Just that Kitkat is all the rage, so I assumed you were on that too.
Try this : Settings >>> Apps >>>>ALL... Find the settings running app. Then CLEAR CACHE. You cannot clear data though.
Hope it helps !
Also, Philz latest (I think 6.14 or 6.16) has some bugs. I would just flash a generic CWM. TWRP latest also is buggy.
Thanks Man I appreciate your help. I'm not so sure about the e980 and KitKat yet on ATT sounds pretty buggy so I'm still holding off.

Hey community, I need your help here pretty bad. I was running the aicp 7.0 release but ended up flashtooling back to bone stock. I am getting constant and random reboots. Sometimes it is a bootloop, sometimes it gets to the att logo, sometimes it makes it to my home screen, and sometimes I can actually use it for 10 or 15 minutes but it always fails and reboots. Is there anything I can try? I am totally stumped. I figured a tot file flash back to stock would have solved this but it didn't. It almost seems like a hardware failure but I have never dropped it, got it wet nothin. Another real odd deal is when I can't get it to come out of a loop, if I take the back cover off it will start up. I thought maybe it was the connection on the back cover so I put a piece of tape over it but it still does it, but even now it is working with the back cover off but randomly reboots. Its always like this, my signal drops to no bars with the red x and then freezes then reboots. Sometimes it's when I wake it up, and sometimes it's when I start a program. Can anyone please give me some hope?
