Hey everybody,
I've got a little problem with my htc one m8, I installed this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716306
but I noticed after that it was a verizon rom and I've got an international phone. So when I rebooted my phone, he rebooted like if he could not load the rom. So I decided to go to my recovery to load my back up but what a surprise when I want to go to my recovery, it loads the new rom and not the recovery.
Does anybody have a solution to get my recovery back?
Thanks

Usually:
fastboot erase cache
If it doesn't work, you can try flashing the recovery again.

Hey guys,
I recently decided to try out TripNRaVeRs version of CM9 on my HTC One X and I flashed it and everything just fine.
But now i cannot get into Recovery to reflash stock / Gapps or anything
Any ideas? I have tried reflashing a recovery but it seems to just SKIP it. I see CWM pop up for a split second then go straight to the HTC/CM9 boot screens?!?!?!
HALP!!?!?!?!?!?!
Fastboot erase cache
Then you can get back in recovery, if you had bothered reading the thread where you got the Rom you would have known.

Hello, I've recently acquired the htc one x from a friend, i came from the sensation. I was trying to do some rom jumping today and put myself into a bit of a pickle.
what you alls need to know is that i accidently deleted the back ups. and now i have no roms to flash and none installed. I can get to twrp and mount to usb, but on the computer end it says i need to format disk before I can do anything. Since that's not really an option I seem to be stuck with no roms and no way to get a rom on it. I would like to put clean 5.0 back on and stick with that until i can better grasp the adb process on the one x. Any help would be appreciated, thank you -

you won't be stuck by deleting twrp, you can always flash any custom recovery from fastboot

have you flashed the rom's boot.img?
it claims it does it for you at the end? unfortunately i wanted to avoid that whole thing which is what got me into this mess.

what are you talking about!? if you flash a rom (clean 5.0 in your case) you will also have to flash its boot.img to get it running!
at the end of the rom installation process it says it flashes the boot image for you.

never heard of an automatic flash of boot.img, it couldn't be possible cause you are not S-OFF
o ok. i've managed to flash it via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634786
unfortunately it didn't help that i got the phone and it had already been rooted, would have rather done it myself.
thank yo for all of your help!

!??!?!??!!??!? could you speak english please? i cannot help you if i do not understand your problem
ok, i'll take it from the top- turn on phone into bootloader. I can no longer get to recovery. I have tried flashing twrp to no avail. when i reset it will go to cleanrom and bootloop. I need to completely reset and re install recovery and rom. just can't get it working for some reason
fastboot erase cache
Go recovery and erase the cache and dalvik cache.
i would but now recovery goes to boot loop, even after i try and flash recovery (twrp and cwm)
fastboot erase cache
i have erased cashe in fastboot through one x tool kit and fastboot flasher. now it goes to the rom and the rom crashes and re boots. :/ how can i wipe and re install rom through fastboot?
also if i click recovery it goes to white htc screen with red dev warning text, then loops
I don't know. I don't know what your tool is doing.
Have you tried reflashing latest recovery? I recommend clockworkmod 5.8.4.0.
is that for gsm ? mine is att version, dk if that matters here
Oh FFS.
You're asking questions about a dual core snapdragon phone in a forum for a quad core Tegra3 based phone and you only wonder out loud now whether that matters?
Yes. Yes it does.
Now go ask questions about your phone in the forum for your phone before you break it.
Hello,
I know you're getting tired of this questions, but I searched for hours and still can't find a solution to my problem.
I was trying to root my HTC One X (international) when I did probably something stupid, and now I'm in boot loop (only normal HTC logo appears). My HTC One X however is unlocked and my hboot version is 1.39. Also, I managed to install 'ClockwordkMod Recovery' via a command on my computer.
I just want my old factory settings back please, I don't really need a ROM anymore lol, I just want my HTC One X back too work :crying:
Thankyou in advance:good:
you just need to flash a rom and its boot.img

I have the same problem. I already did this like a million times, but it still in boot loop.
Also I tried restore the backup that i made before flash the new ROM, but after reboot the phone, it's got stuck into a black screen.
btw, I used this app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904 to install the boot.img

yep. full wipe/factory reset, cache wipe, dalvik and battery... and nothing. -.-
Soo.. I decided to install Cynogen Mod 5.1.1 onto the Note 2. And, All worked fine....
But here is an issue. A while back I had to unlock the phone, which required me to install TWRP.. Now the issue is i think i installed it into the Boot instead of recovery.. So now whenever i select ANY power option in TWRP, the phone restarts into TWRP again.. Now, All i had to do was just do a battery pull and all was good.. Except for now..
I tried to update CM through TWRP, but it did something and now the phone boots into TWRP no matter what. I got the Android universal toolkit or whatever running and trying to fix the boot.img, But have been unsuccessful so far..
So, Any help that i can get would be appreciated.
Things I have done:
1. Reflashed boot.img with original.
2. Reflashed recovery with newer twrp
3. Factory reset, formated/
4. Installed backup with 4.4.2 installed still
5. Googled everything

AFTER 5 HOURS OF WORK I FIXED IT!
I reinstalled the Original recovery. Then rebooted, and it all worked.. 1:02 AM and tired as heck....
Can you tell me how you installed the original recovery? I did the same thing and now all my phone boots into is TWRP.
Alright.. It's a bit of a Google.. But you gotta find the original recovery for the phone on the web.. The recovery for the gt-n100 or whatever works. So look for that.

Okay thanks! I managed to find the one for my phone
I flashed the Flyme OS rom on my At&t Desire Eye and now I am locked into the Flyme boot cycle. I tried going into recovery and booting my back up, but recovery simply restarts the phone back into the bootloop. I would appreciate any help with this problem.

I'd make a full wipe and restore backup or flash another rom. I would also check md5 of the rom before flashing just in case its a bad download.

The problem is that I cannot get into recovery to flash anything else. When I select recovery it simply launches back into the boot cycle. Is there any way of accessing my backup on sd card without recovery?
Download latest recovery from these forums and reflash the recovery then try to install back ur back up

Then wipe everything and try to reflash recovery and if that doesn't work then only option u have is use a RUU and go all stock. And start from scratch
Nothing I have tried seems to work. I cannot get recovery to flash nor can I get RUU to flash. I am not sure what I am doing wrong and cannot seem to get anything to recognize my phone properly. does anyone have a good step by step to follow because I am now officially lost.
Does it matter that I am S-on instead of S-off?
Put the phone in fastboot and try the RUU again
Wanted to leave a thanks , the Ruu actually worked after i learned I needed to relock the device.
