While attempting to manually update to 4.4.3 on s-on, i gut stuck in fastboot mode. ive relocked the bootloader for flashing firmware now im stuck.
i cant unlock it again because htcdev says that my password is incorrect. ive tried to restore my password many times but it doesnt work.
i think ill go to the repair center tomorrow or is it possible to get it working without unlocked bootloader? Thx.
You don't need to go to htcdev to unlock a second time. They should have sent you a .bin file the first time for unlocking. This is all you need to unlock. It doesn't change. And why did you s-on? You don't need to.

I am not an expert as I just rooted my phone for the first time this week. However I have had the issue where a rom didn't install correctly and I was able to boot into recovery and install a backup. Not sure if this will help you but thought I would mention it. Hope someone can get you lined out asap.
Well I can't really do that since I'm relocked
Hi all,
I have spent the last week trying to solve my problem. Basically I tried to unlock the bootloader on my HTC desire HD using the instructions supplied by HTCDEV. Something happened during the unlocking process and now I have an unlocked bootloader and a phone that doesnt boot. The unlocking process didnt go through as I didnt get to the part where I have to work with the token. However, if I boot into bootloader, it shows that it is unlocked and s-on. I can get to the fastboot menu and the phone only boots to the HTC screen.
I have followed the instructions from the many posts in this forum without any luck. I cant seem to be able to flash anything through fastboot. I keep getting errors such signature failed error 132 and error 131. I cant access recovery. It gives out errors whenever i try to access it. ADB doesnt work. The device doesnt get picked up in windows. I tried flashing recovery without any luck. The CID is HTC_612. The firmware version is 1.31.405.6.
I tried to use an RUU but I always get the error that the RUU that i am using is not the one for my rom or that the signature verification is wrong.
Any advice?
Thanks

Damn. If you had S-OFF you could have flashed a recovery and it would have been easier for you. Post in the thread linked in my signature (Ace Think Tank) and you'll hopefully get some help from someone (most likely Glevitan)

thanks GuyInTheCorner I have posted the question is the thread as required.
I just followed all of the steps to unlock the bootloader through HTCDev, but I'm having trouble in getting it to an unlocked state. Every time I flash the unlock_code.bin in fastboot, it prompts me if I want to unlock the bootloader, I select yes and the device formats and restarts. After I go through the initial setup again and enable usb debugging to reboot into fastboot, the status of the phone is still locked. Is there some step I missed to unlock this phone or is there a problem with HTCdev?

I had trouble when I unlocked mine, but not with what you're describing. When I received my initial unlock code, I had done the HTCdev method with choosing one (M8) for my phone and the file would not flash. I re-ran HTCdev choosing "all other devices" and everything worked like a charm. Worth a shot.
I ended up getting it working by downloading the latest software update and trying again. I was just trying to get a GPE rom on here quickly because sense was aggravating me so much. Hopefully this helps anyone else that ends up having this problem!
Remember to get s-off first

It sounds like that is already bootloader unlocked. Boot into recovery and see if it's stock or not. If recovery is stock, you need to install twrp or cwm then you can flash a rom. If one of those is already there you're ready to flash a rom already. Instructions on installing recoveries and roms, etc are here in the forums if you do a quick search.
thankssomuch
awesome..after updating to 4.4.4 ,everything worked like charm....thanks a zillion:good::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Hi guys,
I have an HTC one mini its says locked on the bootloader screen with OS 1.32.502.3 and S-on I tried everything did the HTC Dev bootloader unlock did nott work it goes thru all the steps and says ok at the end but nothing happens on the phone tried the recovery but it goes right back to bootloader screen Please Help
htc m8 remote not allowed while flashing rom ,ruu, recovery.
when i unlocking boot loader it,s ok but whenenter bootloader moder it's show locked.
nothing deleting in phone ,restore ok but nothing happen.nothing i writing nothing is deleting.
Many time i tried to flashing but cmd says remote not allowed
cid no. is 11111
If it says LOCKED in bootloader, than the bootloader is still locked.
Nothing will flash with a locked bootloader.
Try the bootloader unlock process again, and see if you get it to say UNLOCKED.
Unlock ok but show locked
i have flashed unlock.bin after this confirmation msg yes/no for unlock bootloader.i pressed yes phone restarted.when enter again bootloader mode it's showning LOCKED

Not clear whether you mean you have only tried it once; or of you tried to unlock it again as I advised in my previous post.
I recommend going through the HTCDev process again, new bin code, and try unlock again.
If its still fails, I don't know if there is much else you can do. I've seen this issue a couple times (bootloader unlock fails repeatedly), and don't recall a resolution.
ok i shall try but thin i am reset phone but nothing happen an which i delete fro gallery that are recover after reboot.same to same happen after botloader unlock.bootloader unlocked in pc but in phone showing LOCKED
OK Got htc one m9, had stock software from 3UK rooted, TWRP installed. Then I installed AICP Oreo. Now I wish to return to stock. I relocked the bootloader & downloaded an ruu file. From that point as soon as the phone rebooted I can not enter TWRP, nor can I get adb access via PC. All I did was rename the ruu to 0PJAIMG.zip put in root of SD.Now I get a message when rebooted RU_CID_FAIL cid in android-info mismatched. Selecting Vol+ & Pwr gives me reboot to bl, download or recovery options. Selecting recovery gives a "failed to boot to recovery" message.Selecting download gives me the download menu." Googling doesnt really help me. Expert advice would be MASSIVELY appreciated
Update, unlocked bl again. Have AICP working again AND TWRP but still cant get back to stock grrrrr
Thanks
John
Check your cid and mid are correct for the file you are trying to flash.
There is always the fact you locked the bootloader with a custom recovery on it. You can only lock again if the phone is completely stock (except bootloader and s-off status).

Thank you. Yes you were spot on. I ended up unlocking the bl again and everything went smooth from there. Cheers
