LT15i Custom kernels performance

Hi, first at all i want to say that i tested nearly every rom & kernel combinations and still i'm not satisfied with the performance. Overall device is performing better (i'm running @1,4GHz - Stock Plus & DoomKernels 15-20) and in 3D heavy games framerate is higher for sure, but there's a lot of stuttering and sometimes games are unplayable (for example Backstab and Asphalt 6 with annoying one sec stuttering). On stock kernel game (Backstab) is running without any performance issues (only few dropped frames when there's a high draw distance) and the device itself is running "only" at 1GHz. Now something about DoomKernel - interface is not running smoothly (with simple 3D live wallpaper but 2d is ok) and i can give you another gaming example with MC3 - main menu is running at ~20 fps (and game itself is also stuttering) and on stock kernel/stock plus it's much smoother. So there is any fix for my problem or it's something wrong with my arc or what . Stock kernel by Sony > custom kernels? Something is wrong here... Thanks in advance and pardon about my english .
try playing on performance governor
I played with governors with no result ;(

okay, now i'm gonna "stress test" every single governor available in kernel ; d
Bump!
I've added a video :<

Have you tried Stockplus Kernel? It's based on DoomKernel but has a lot of changes and tweaks. Some people report better results with it when compared to DoomKernel.

Best lightweight ROM available?

Whats the best ROM to have on the xperia play. Im currently on the joka wild v3 ROM, and ive heard some people are playing tdkr smoothly on other roms. And its really laggy for me on my phone, even though its oc'd to 1.7GHz!
anyways, what do you think is the best lightweight ROM and good for 3d gaming?

I haven't tried TrueAncestor, but it sounds like people are having better success with it. It sounds in general like the .58-based ROMs are having better luck. I'm running Gin2Jellybean (also based on .58) and am extremely happy with it. I haven't played Dark Knight yet, but am enjoying the Amazing Spider-Man fine with small lag. The UpdateMe feature that Gin2Jellybean incorporates to help keep your phone patched up to date is also nice (it automatically finds update.zip patches for you for your ROM).
So I highly recommend Gin2Jellybean - I'm even running the full version of it, though there is a lite version as well. It and TrueAncestor seem like the best Gingerbread choices to me right now - and I'm not sure ICS is a sound choice for gaming as of yet.

You overclocked to 1.7Ghz but haven't overvolted so it is no use as you will get the performance of something like 1.2Ghz and lot of lag anyway with proper voltage settings it will easily overheat, I reccomend Gin2Jellybean as a daily driver.
I am currently testing the rom Markphyton v4. It really is great! Test N.O.V.A3 and The Dark Knight Rises. Very quickly, in the legs. But I can not play videos with the default player. MOBO player installed to wait to fix.

Ive tried a handfull of roms available for locked bootloaders. So far I have to say Gin2JellyBean is my favorite. But if your bootloaders arent locked like mine are then theres alot more possibilities out there too.

[Q] Best kernel for gaming

On stock kernel battery is fantastic and everything is stable, but playing games like wildblood and asphalt 7 - you notice little lags here and there.
Has anyone come across a kernel or a mod to improve performance while gaming?

Asphalt 7 lags on every kernel. Try Perseus and next time post in troubleshooting section

Asphalt7 lag because of the crappy gameloft optimization no kernel will fix it :silly::silly:
stay with EA games at least they are more optimized
edit : look at the difference O_O

best gaming custom rom?

whitch custom rom has the best gaming experience and highest fps in games?
i repeat CUSTOM ROM not stock or stock based. i hate miui and junk apps
i notice since android p introducion, it has been ported eas schedutil for cpu management, except for mokee , the fastest for me( some recent games could have better frames due to new eas)
some suggestions/experience?
well, i tried many roms but for me the best gaming rom is RR os by sbwml the first build was really really good tried fortnite with 60 fps it was smooth even sometimes my phone heats up but i don't see any much frame drops but it had some bugs like if you play a game ( landscape only) you can't drag the Statusbar which i wasn't getting annoyed to much because the performance was super good but then i the update came with fixed bugs it was awesome still the best for me, now i am on MOKEE pie but gonna flssh RR again

You can try RiceDroid, In terms of gaming, Ricedroid includes several optimizations and tweaks to enhance the gaming experience on compatible devices. One such feature is spoofing, which allows users to unlock higher graphics and frame rates in popular games like PUBG, COD, and Genshin Impact.
