dude that was THE most awesome reply I have EVER read
I would also suggest a restart.
By the way, your capslock or shift key seems broken, you might want to take a look into this issue, too.

problems with mhl adapter

Does anyone know how to get the mhl adapter to work on cm10? I thought I had a bad adapter so I restored on old backup of dark side evo and it worked perfectly, but I can't get it to work at all on jb. Thanks in advance.

I tried to add those entries into the build prop, after the reboot it still doesn't work and when I go back into the build prop the entries i added are gone. Anybody have any ideas on why my build prop entries aren't sticking?

Yea its the Samsung adapter, I'm thinking I might have to restore my Darkside Evo if I can't get this thing going.

Battery with mhl?
So I got the HDMI working my only issue now is if I'm watching a movie the battery dies even though the adapter is plugged in. Is this normal or am I missing something ? The baffling thing is that the phone shows the charging icon. Anybody else seen this?

Use to happen to me as well, I'm not sure if it's just a matter of losing more power than it can retain or what. Try screen standby in the play store, it shuts the screen off while connected to MHL.

Yea same so in mean time that app I mentioned makes the phone does it if you want it that id
Stock Android only does it for wireless charging. There's another thread on here about it where we came to that conclusion, if you're interested in learning more.

Already saw that which is stupid shouldn't even be in the settings then if **** doesn't work but whatever I made it work so I'm good
So I tried light flow and was able to add sound while plugging it in but I can't seem to find a setting to make it sound when you unplug the phone.

Don't think there is a option for unplugging just plug in and fully charged sound

Make sure you change your battery threshold to 100% in lite flow or your phone won't charge all the way

Sound cutting out

Has anyone found a fix for the sound cutting out after a few seconds of a video or game? I have tried the soubdabout app, Turing the USB option off, disable Power save.. Still happening..

I have the same issue sometimes, I've read around the web and it seems to be a mix of software and hardware related, I read a guy suggest removing and putting back the case (in case you have one) and I did that and the sound came back, haven't had the issue again.

Hmm, I keep mine out of a case,.. Yeah I'm not sure what it is, it's a 50/50 between some say software and some say hardware. I would asume that software would of been fixed by now, either Samsung or 3rd party

So I found a solution for the issue in my case, it does seem to be software but it's really weird cause the issue continues in any firmware, it started when I was on 6.0.1 PI2, then I flashed Nougat and had the same problem (I hated it and battery drain was killing me) I went back to 6.0 and changed to the PK2 version and the issue continued, it was really weird cause it would cut out in audio messages, games but not music, I also tried every single suggestion on every forum and post I could find EXCEPT the Soundabout app, today I gave up, installed soundabout, selected media to speakers and bam, problem solved, I still need further testing, but it seems ok for now, keep in mind that I also have "prevent USB audio routing" on and "Easy Mute" off.

Im trying the soundabout app now, I orginally had it set to automatic and was still having the issue, now I set it to speaker and so far so good.
as this worked for me but idk about others... I was told to remove all paired bluetooth devices (on/off doesnt matter) then go to settings>connections>more connection settings>nearby device scanning then turn off... worked for me... (sorry for zombifying an old post but as this is still current with mine and many devices i decided to help)

Is anything still wrong? Or does the sound work both with and without headphones?

The first few weeks it works, from one moment to another it stopped making sound, maybe is a bug, expect Xiaomi andar Google solve this .
