[UPDATE][Tricks & Tips] Access Hidden Features in STOCK KK 4.4.2 - LG Optimus G (International)

Hello guyzzz....... I'm back with few more stuffs for STOCK KK 4.4.2....:good:
So, Finally new regions got official KK update from LG after such a long lonnnngggg gap...
But ya its true, We are still missing some good hoodies of KK though.. which includes
Knock ON
Guest Mode
Dual Window
Privacy Guard (Android 4.2 feature)
Knock Code
Vibrate Type
Usage Manager
Tabbed Settings
etc (those which are not listed)
No worries guys...Some of these features are hidden inside our box and I got a way to reveal it to outside world...
Knock ON [Only Double tap on status bar to screen off is working)
Guest Mode (working Cool)
Advanced Quiet Mode
Voice Notification (Calls & SMS)
Vibrate type (Working-can change the vibration pattern)
Usage Manager (Single app which list Battery, App & Data usage)
Dual Window (Sadly not working but this option is enabled by default)
knock Code (Don't know how to figure it out)
Tabbed Setting (Not working)
What to do?
All you've to do is, Download QuickShortcutMaker app from Playstore
Install the app and Create your favorite Shortcuts to Home Screen and voila your done...:good::good:
How this app works?
Actually, each option in an app is a separate activity and this app simply creates shortcut to those activities.
I've attached Screenshots for some useful features which really helps us lot....Just create shortcuts to the Homescreen and put all in one folder....:good::good:
So Guyzz, I hope you will be happy now... CHEERS
***If you guyz like this thread, give me some rating and ya, I'll accept free thanks too***

You'll have knock code now, but only after pressing the power button

It should work, coz LG wont remove this feature for particular region instead they can ly simply hide them.
So 100%, it shud work...!!

[MOD][4.1.2]Remove QSlide Apps from Stock Jelly Bean LG-E973/1/5/0 [Canada edition]

Hello guys, this is my first contribution to the community, I started getting involved with the website since I wanted to root my Optimus G.
First of all, I want to give credit to the following posts:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194423 For creating the flashing zip and the installer script, otherwise it would be more difficult for us to install it. Elegant.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1453869 For creating a great tutorial that I followed and had zero problems while tweaking the UI files.
I made all the elements from the HorizontalScrollView visibility to "gone" and the height set to 0dip.
Because it's the only ROM that I have tried this with, I will only say it's compatible with that one until otherwise proven and test
Only compatible with Canadian version from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2127346
Please, before doing this backup /system/app/LGSystemUI.apk or make a nandroid backup.
To apply it just reboot into recovery mode and flash it, I have provided a version to hide them and another to show them back.
I'm not responsible for any damage.
do you have to be rooted to flash this?
also... the e971 (rogers) stock jelly bean doesnt have the qslide apps .. will flashing the 'show' file display them?/put them on the phone?
Have anyone tried it with E97510a ?
After applying how do I take screenshots? Is screenshot goes directly to my gallery or still opens in LG editing app?
Well.. Works fine on E975–10b EUR.
I really dont know why, but my phone has an extreme long name, longer than that above
Sent from my LG-E975 using xda premium
@tdiddy1987 I would say it wouldnt work with the ones that doesn't have. If u have the chance to try it... do it. But my guess is that it won't, the modification just makes something that is there invisible, so if its not there natively it wont be able to show it.
@LOCKDOC_UA it will still open in the LG app, QSlides apps will work perfectly, it just wont show the icons in there. You can take the screenshot (LG memo) holding vol up+vol up and it will open it in the LG app Or you can use the Jelly bean native feature, power+vol down. which will save it to the gallery.

I dont really hate the Q-slide apps although I have no use for it. But it's nice to see it gone and have more space for the notifications!
I think LG did great on their notification bar. I went from rooted custom rom back to root stock rom just for the ease of use of the notification bar!
Is it possible to remove qslide apps from notificatio without unlocking bootloader.
Im rooted but i dont want to unlock bl.

[ROM][4.4.2][AOSP]Stable Kitkat for LG G pro[20131230]

Hello, guys!
Finally I have finished my work on AOSP4.4.2 for LG G pro, and in few days ago I fixed the camera too. My phone is LG-e988( the HongKong version), and I think this ROM can be also flashed on e980.
Build from latest AOSP's codes, totally clean and Google's style.
Work list:
Phone
Sms
Mms
Mobile network
Camera
WIFI & BT
NFC
GPS
Audio
Headphones
Storage Mounts
Sensors(except compass)
etc.
Bug list:
Headphones don't work while in call
Electronic compass doesn't work
Waiting for you to find others. If u can, contact me with my E-mail:[email protected], thks! And then, it will be better if u can send me your logcat and dmesg
This ROM need 6.0.4.4 or higher CWM, see this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536438
e988 can flash it by loki_flash immediately, but e980 need use its own aboot.img to change recovery.img to recovery.lok, I don't have e980's aboot.img. So, sorry!

[req] mod swipeback module

Have you guys tried SwipeBack Xposed for our device?? It 's beautiful, you can use all the app so immersive and enjoy our fabulous qHD display simply swipe and go back ..... only problem is that for some reason going into the gallery and selecting video icon does not appear to transmit video dlna and therefore can not be given other options ..... and the developer of the module is from February 2014 does not update more 'grrr ....
You can set any app as immersive on the g3 as stock behaviour anyway, it's in the settings.
