I am already in Saudi Arabia. and just purchased another LG G3. using the IMEI of my old G3 i was able to download the kdz file for middle east 10e amx. using the LG flash tool 2014 i can upgrade the firmware with no problems. but once my phone boots it restarts, then reverts back to 10e eur.
the reason why i need the middle east firmware is to choose lte option which i only have GSM / WCDMA on network mode. i know that i can have LTE through service menu but once my phone restarted it reverts back to GSM / WCDMA.
Any suggestion?

Everyone,
I just updated my firmware to 4.4.2 via the LG software (South East Asia version). What I found out is that I can no longer manually search for telco network and pick the network of my choice. It will always present "No Networks Found" when I attempt to search. Auto network selection works fine. However, I need to search and select manual network due to the network alliance for data roaming.
I send my phone in to the service center and they tested it with different phones and found that it is consistent and they declare that it is a bug in the KitKat firmware. They downgraded my phone back to 4.1.2 and tell me that they will feedback the bug to the software team, however there is no commitment on when this will be fixed.
Please help me test the manual network search on your 4.4.2 and let me know if you face the same "No Networks Found" issue. I want to know if this is limited to the South East Asia version of the firmware or it is bigger.
Thank you.
I had this problem too. I was using the Singapore E988 and when I upgraded it to 4.4.2, the phone could not display the available telco networks in all modes (GSM, WCDMA, LTE...). Either it gives "no network found" or "error while searching for networks."
Tried resetting to factory numerous times and reinstalling 4.4.2, but it doesn't solve the problem.
I had to downgrade it back to 4.1.2 and everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully LG will fix this in 4.4.2 so that we have a functioning KitKat to use on our phone.
Cheers!

Nope. Not yet, at least for Singapore firmware. It is still the v20b created in May.
I think LG has decided that it is not worth the effort to fix this. I am stuck.
I am considering flashing my phone with KitKat firmware from Hong Kong or Malaysia, not sure if it is a viable option.
Are you also experiencing the same issue? Which firmware are you using?
Im in south Korea and my phone also shows no signal inside rooms, restaurant,ets.. im think it getting LTE signal only?..
Hi everyone,
I just had a weird question,
Any version I flash using the LG Flash tool (KDZ), flashes fine but always shows 'global' under version unless I flash my own KDZ using my own IMEI, and then it shows HKG (original device is from hong kong), question is, how come when I flash a local version, such as sweden, italy or Israel it still shows global?
So I bought a rooted LG G3 Korean version (back then i didn't know it was rooted). MODEL d855.
So I looked it up how to unroot it and I found many solutions on how to unroot it, but most of them used LGFlashTool so i went with that method; had everything downloaded but i couldn't find any firmware documents for LG G3 Korean version, so i used different ones such as: European, Hong Kong and many others that i can't remember but all seem to fail to download, all of them stopped at 6% after my failure I decided not to unroot it. But whenever I turn my phone it goes to download mode/firmware update. I have tried holding multiple buttons and taking the battery in and out but nothing seems to work. So now i'm here with my new phone stuck in download mode.
Can anyone help me Unroot it or find a way to exit download mode? I just want my phone back cuz right now it was a waste of money.

what i know is that D855 is the international version, While korean version have a F400 model number with a suffix base on their service provider in Korea (e. F400L for LG U+)
it seems that you need to flash the correct firmware to recover your phone. (it's important to know what model number you have)

My knowledge on phones isn't that great but before i tried to unroot it i looked up how to find my model number and somewhere in the settings i found that it was the D855 and under my battery it says D855 and under that it says made in Korea.
So the Koreans have the F400 but i have the Korean D855, well now i'm totally confused
Short long story
Purchased in USA LG G3 d855. It arrived with Lollipop 5.0.1
The phone was recognized as model 855m IMEI also detected as 855
Due to huge battery drain I decided to root, upgrade to 5.1.1
When flashed TWRP for 855 it brick the phone.
I have opened it and noticed that board is 851 model.
Recovered from brick using BoardDiag with 851 TOT.
So now the phone is T-Mobile, not detects LTE ( Im afraid 2G as well frequency).
IS it a way to restore it to origin situation or to more update D855 ROM?
Hi all, I currently have a G7+ with the model number LM-G710EAW. From this site, there's a few EAW's that get the android 10 update, that is the HK, KR, and SEA. To this day, my phone is still on Android 8. Since that the only way to check the phone region via IMEI is now gone, I have to assume that my phone's region is IDN (I bought it in one of Indonesia's domestic store). With that, I have a few questions
1. Is it safe to flash a SEA KDZ to a IDN phone? Is there any possibility of bricking it?
2. What about the baseband compatibility? Can I still use the cellular network?
3. Is there another way to check an LG phone's region?
Thanks in advance!
