WhatsApp Issue - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I've been getting this weird error on WhatsApp while sending pictures. "Failed. Out of memory. Try again" or something like that. I've tried almost everything.Uninstalled. Re-installed WhatsApp. Cleared files from WhatsApp folder. And I do have plenty of space on my device. The only way to send pictures now is to share it from the gallery app. I never got this error before. I'm in stock ROM btw.

make backup of whatsapp in chat settings, then delete whatsapp...install whatsapp+ and restore using backup when prompted...this has larger attachment limit.
or in account settings > network usage, reset
just some ideas bro

I personally like the original WhatsApp but I guess I'll have to use that one. Can you send me a working download link of WhatsApp+? I've tried installing WhatsApp+ before but it prompted some outdated error while configuring.

Against XDA rules to post links for WhatsApp+

Try reducing resolution of the image and then try to send the image .if it doesn't work try one of the solutions listed here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2084204

How do I reduced the resolution of pre-captured pictures?
I've done a factory reset, tried clearing the cache of WhatsApp. Also I don't have any pictures in my WhatsApp's folder. I can only share the pictures via gallery or Just force close WhatsApp then send it. But this is only a temporary solution.

Already tried everything that's mentioned there.
Also my WhatsApp's folder is in the internal storage and it has plenty of space. I've also tried factory resetting and flashing my internal storage but no luck.

[Q]Can't get Tap Tap Revenge to download on market. Please help.

Wasn't sure which thread this should be in so I posted it here as my question. Please feel free to move it.
I just noticed that this game is now available for us. By when I retro download it in the market it won't download. It starts then quites(as do some other apps for some reason.) Is there another place or way I can download the game??
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
you said other apps, do all apps not download? I ask this because a few weeks back my market wouldnt download any apps and I had to wipe everything and reflash. Turns out it was an app causing the problem when I used titanium backup to restore apps. Just a thought if that is your problem. Oh and to answer your main question, if its not what I previously mentioned then I suppose you could check androidzoom or app brain, I think they do stuff with apps. Last resort, check 4shared.com

I say its about 90% of apps I try to download. Mainly it seems to be the ones I want, but if I pick any random app it'll download.

You can try clearing your market cache, force stop it, the try again; or the above listed methods.
Probably going to have to move all your apps over to your phone and delete the android_secure folder. Then reboot and give it a try. Sounds like that folder got corrupted. Pretty common occurrence.

I've never put apps on the SD card, so I should be all set to do thY. But by erasing that folder would it erase anything on the phone?

Nope won't erase anything. Once you delete that folder (while nothing is in there)you will be good after reboot. It won't erase anything and it will create a new one once you start downloading again. Give me a few minutes and ill send ya the link
Here ya go. This will explain it all. I've had to do it 3-4 times with all the flashing I've done. This is the "more permanent fix" http://forum.androidcentral.com/gen...not-downloading-installing-image-warning.html

Followed step by step and I get "error deleting files". I'm using the free version of Astro to delete it because ES File Explorer doesn't even show the folder.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Not sure why es wouldn't be showing it under SD card files. Have you checked into maybe getting astro pro, or root explorer? If not, sure you could use adb to erase it.

I've deleted the folder and restarted and they still don't download, repeated process, and still no luck. Guess I gotta reflash :/

Dang that sucks. Make sure you clear the data for the market and once one starts downloading, cancel it. Then try again right after you cancel it.
This probably won't help you any but just a heads up, you'll probably have a ton of download#.apk files in /sdcard/downloads
Never cleared market cache before, how do I go about doing that??

That game is way too addicting.
You could try using App Brain & Fast Web Installer to download apps. It actually works better/faster for me than downloading from the market. If you need the apks for those apps I can post them for you.

Gallery is Acting Up?

Recently loaded some wallpapers into my internal storage.
Some of them don't appear-- they show up as black boxes.
I've tried going into Apps and Clearing Cache/Clearing Data for the Gallery app.
But to no avail.
Everyone uses QuickPic, and this is one reason why.
This happened to me too, it ended up corrupting my other images and videos
Just installed QuickPic, same problem.

This is a very interesting problem.
No problems here.

I cleared the data then rebooted and couldn't even get my Gallery to open.
Had to Nandroid backup to get everything running again.

Partition issue

First of all sorry if this issue has already been addressed, I looked around could not find much on this issue, anyways I have been running deathstalker s3 for a while, I decided to try deathstalker s4 , it installed okay but the phone kept force closing any system app I tried to run , I reverted back to deathstalker s3 and my phone constantly displays low storage and says 330mb of free space, but in the settings > storage, it displays a lot of free space in the bar graph but none of it is useable, once again sorry if this has already been asked, any suggestions in the right direction would be helpful

I would format the external sd and the internal sd and do a complete wipe and re download the rom to your external sd and flash the newly download ed rom

Do you have any nandroid backup stored on the phone? Those take up lots of spaces. If not you might need to do a format as suggested.

Error when installing app

Does any one know what unknown error "-24" is?
Just recently on my galaxy note 2 my Facebook app stopped displaying pictures and videos on my daily driver app that I never had problems with. Now when I flash new ROMs and try to download or restore the app using titanium it pops up with unknown error "-24". I can't figure it out...if anyone could help it would be great.

I Googled that a few days ago, had to do a fresh rom flash. Result of some corrupted library files. It's no fun.
There are some fixes out there, but I tried the basics, clearing out my Gmail account, play store cache, &c. Fallback was backing up my apps, logs, sms, fresh flash.

So didn't fix the problem......I wiped all internal memory and even factory reset and wiped cache but had no luck......I can restore my daily driver but the app on there doesn't show pictures like I was saying in op

Hi there, not entirely sure what the forum stance on discussing Lucky Patcher is, but I had a similar issue. I never used LP before and only installed it because of a suggestion I saw on here about a month ago about the error that says you have no room, etc.
Run LP. Go into "Toolbox" and then 'Remove all odex files". Fixed my issue totally. From what I understand it is safe to remove these since they only exist after an app has been uninstalled.
Sometimes tho they cause issues with other apps if not removed.
Good luck and keep us posted. =-}
Sorry for the late reply....it still didn't fix the issue....I can't figure out what's wrong....heres a screen shot....if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it

I've tried all that...Im wondering if its something to do with the backed up app data on my SD card.....I've wiped all internal storage data so the SD card is the only data left...all my app data from titanium backup is there so maybe that's the problem

[Q] QuickPic Question

I really like QuickPic for my gallery, much better than the stock gallery app.
My question is, anytime I try to delete a pic (I store my pics on my SD card) if gives me an error stating that in Android 4.4.4 it can't delete anything from the SD Card.
Is there any way around this? I AM rooted / stock.
Thanks!
SDFix from the Play store. No need to keep the app after running it.
