Hi All,
I'm on 1.25.720.1 Indian Version, unrooted & stock recovery from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=5178
When I try to update OTA, stock recovery is giving error(image attached)
I have tried almost everything. But no solution. Same error is showing every time.
Please help.

It was the stock recovery from king doing the problem.
I found the stock Indian recovery from the OTA .zip itself.
It was with me & I was searching for the solution.

Even after having flashd the recovery from the OTA update zip, I face an error - "unexpected content in build.prop"
Any ideas how to go about it???

Have you edited that??
Try to get build.prop from my backup...
(backup your current rom>flash my backup>copy build.prop > reflash your backup >replace the build.prop with the copied one) . I'm on 1.58, that's why I'm not giving mine.

I havent modified a single line in build.prop file, and I already am using your 1.50 ROM backup from your thread, so I guess I will skip the 1.58 update and wait for the next update in your thread
The D816 keeps throwing newer problems time and again....anyways thanks for maintaining that thread!

Yeah bro.... Now its having a lagging problem in 1.58.....I'm not experiencing it...but whoever flashed my latest backup is reporting lag.
Me too waiting for the next update.

Yes! Flashed both files, first main package, then root package.

1. make space on system part.
2. root as optional packet with su, busybox, super user ap.
(either you already allow su or super user ap did not work for su on shell)

I flashed it with a cm receovery that I have used everytime and (as expected) the recovery is not changed. so you lose nothing!

Hey guys I'm kinda new to Android I've had a chappy phone and now an LG g pad after attempting root about a dozen times I finally managed to get it root now I am trying to get TWRP to backup the tablet and change the boot animation later but every time I tried on my pc it would fail so I installed flashify and tried with that I then I got a boot error saying security issues. The tablet stills boots but I believe the problem is the locked boot loader. Thanks for any help offered.

Have you installed root checker or another program to confirm that you do, in fact, have root? Start with that.
If you haven't installed a superuser app to handle permissions, I'd do that as well before trying to install TWRP.
I'll admit I had troubles installing TWRP as well, when looking at the forums, make sure you're downloading the version for your EXACT version of android and firmware, and following the instructions for the right version as well. Good luck!

I got it flashed yesterday forgot to post that so i tried to change the boot animation and soft bricked it luckily i backed up

I have a problem. I flashed recovery and boot.img from B708 and when I try to update this (Unicom 2.0 Downgrade Flashable ZIP) it fails at VERLIST

Download this file to downgrade from B708, then do a local update:

After your phone boots up, do the same with the Unicom 2.0 version.
Once both have been done, you'll be able to install EMUI 2.3.
It will have to be a forced update though, because you'll get many "... process has stopped" errors, or it will give you the VERLIST error when doing a local update. So make a backup before you do this.

I got the update yesterday in the night. But forgot to save the OTA.zip how can I redownload the file to upload it on GDrive?? I tried using the adb logcat from a post in the forum but didn't get any link in the file

Where can i find the ota.zip file, i don't have the update yet so i'll try to save it for you guys when i get it
In unlocked bl with twrp tho. Official ota might not work for me. Hope someone could provide a TWRP flashable.zip
I dont mind doing a clean instal and btw since theyre pushing the updates for global, is there any news bout the release of kernel sources?

to get the zip file go to file manager after downloading the update(don't restart after update is downloaded). you'll see the update.zip out in the open in file manager

Its on MQ3 with twrp. Maybe TWRP is the cause? Should i flash the recovery (comes with MQ3 inside payload.bin) via fastboot and reflash this one via local update and recheck update again?

MQ3 is for testing. you should get the official CN or global ROM.

did you read line 50 of the log? there is everything you need to know
please update your firmware to at least G98xyXXUDFVC7 before flashing Beyond V4.3 again
It means you have to flash original FVC7 firmware (with twrp fvc7 & vbmeta) via odin first, then thru twrp flash BR4.3

hello this is useful but where have you got the userdata file from?
ok installed the rom now however stuck in loop now, can only go to download mode or twrp. is there anything else that needs to be done in order to start the rom?

I've installed the previous variants but the latest one is causing me grief , it hangs on the Samsung Logo infinitely
