This might not work for you as it did not work for me but it is the only way I have been able to pass the low battery message so it might work for some. I get a connection problem after step 3
Step 1.
Download tool and LG drivers (if you don't have them) from here and here and install them normally
Step 2.
Remove battery and note down your device model and serial number. Boot phone in to download mode by switching phone off or pulling battery if soft bricked, then hold down both of the volume keys and plug in the USB data cable
Step 3.
Run LG Mobile Tool and wait for the software to tell you it recognises the handset as either being the latest software or a new update is available. Unplug the handset but keep it in download mode then in LG Mobile Tools click on options then update recovery. It will now prompt you to enter your handset details, fill out the top 2 boxes and click ok. You will soon be prompted by a message asking you to plug your handset in, plug it in then press retry. Wait EXACTLY 5 seconds (count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississippi, 4 Mississippi, 5 Mississippi) then unplug the phone as quickly as possible! Very important, it might take a few tries to get it so just alter the speed at which you are saying Mississippi lol!. If you get the same error message about battery too low then you have failed and need to try it again. Once you have succeeded you can do either of the 2 things below:
3a. Plug phone back in immediately and wait for the file to download and flash (recommended) (I am currently trying this and will report back as soon as I can)
3b. If you are soft bricked and scared you have limited battery then don't plug it back in, pull your battery out and let the program run and it will do everything including download the required software for flashing. When the software is almost completely downloaded, boot back in to download mode and let the downloaded software flash to your phone. (might have an error at software installation this method. I couldn't get it to work I think due to the phone being disconnected for so long.)
Step 4.
MAKE SURE YOU DO A FACTORY RESET STRAIGHT AFTER THE SOFTWARE HAS INSTALLED
Step 5. (Optional)
Download the older version of FreeGee from here if you are still a bit unsure if the latest version will soft brick your handset again.
I have managed to use LG Flash Tools now, even after being affected. I would not advise trying this though, as it was an accident for me. I had the back cover off while flashing a custom rom with CWM. After the rom file was installed, I rebooted my phone from CWM. As the phone was rebooting (was on the rom boot animation) the battery fell out. After I put the battery back in the phone would load to the rom boot animation, but it would freeze on this screen and then reboot and do the same thing over and over (bootloop to animation) - I then tried to factory reset and flash the rom again, with the same thing happening again) - I then went in to restore my phone using a backup through CWM. After the restoration, then phone would still hang at boot animation and then bootloop. I retried restoring and flashing multiple roms and re root the phone with a saved zip file on my phone. None of this was working. I decided to try to use LG Flast Tools again, only this time it actually passed the low battery warning. The funny thing is, I have tried thousands of times even at 100% battery level and lower (when there was nothing wrong with my phone at all) and it has never worked. This time it did (even though I had 66% battery) and still works now, as I just tried it again.
I've tried this method but unfortunately, the update stoped..
i passed through step 3a but when installing the software, around 80%, the lg mobile support tool suddenly disappear.
i'm trying it again for the second time, i'll update after my attempt.
thanks.

I got in such situation twice... bricked device and getting battery level error (3) even when i had my battery at 100%. Found out after several flash attempts that this problem was solved by flashing the oldest official kdz i could find (v10A). :silly:

I might give that a shot.
HONESTLY WHY! I am starting to get so frustrated that nobody can figure this out! Surely there is somebody out there that can someone reverse the damage that FreeGee caused by way of ADB commands? I just wish I knew what the hell I was looking for
OK guys.. After exhausting all known tricks but failure I just walked into LG service centre andgot stock ROM installed. It took just ten minute for them to install.
I just though given an opportunity, I will steal their laptop n take it home..hahhha..
Anyway as I of now I am jut **** scared to o anything with the phone. I just rooted it and playing around with DPI settings using closed framework.

I deal with this situation 3 time...last time little scary with only boot to cwm ( fix with flash twrp hack by madmack and install rom )...never get same sollution to by pass low bat warning...
I think we just have to uninstall and reinstall all LG driver..restart..and keep trying with 100% batt..
May be LG decide flash or not when we connect via Lg mobile tool via internet..
Because once i have succed flash with only 20 % battery...last time i get low batt warning with 60% batt...
Once you get low batt warning it keep rejecting flash even with 100% battery..
Lol never give up trying is best sollution

sorry for my noob question.
you just walked into LG service centre? they didn't question you about how your phone got into that situation?
i'm afraid that lg might ignore my phone because i rooted and attempt to disable the scurity through freegee..
They have asked me. I just said I was trying to do factory reset n it got struck. But I am not sure if he completely beloved me. It all boils down to how friendly that guy in the counter is. After all ,for them, its just a 10 main job. No parts or labour involved. Just pushing some files.
So just go ahead n try. My phone is also rooted n flashed freegee. But I got the service.

Hi guys,
I'm facing the same problem here but with a G Pad. Can't pget past the low battery error.
I figured a way to make the mobile tool download the files but when it comes to flashing it I get the same error again.
How did you flash the file after downloading it?
Any help will be really appreciated.

Bam ... i got it!
For all with the low battery error, here is my solution (on Win8 machine):
1. Flashed E988 V5 rom with cwm
I think its editional, because i got low battery error error after i tried to flashed stock rom.
2. Flashed stock at&t rom V10g
3. Flashed E980H Panama ROM V10a
And it works, i dont get low battery error, even with ~65% battery... Maybe a try for all with same problem? :fingers-crossed:

FFS whats the deal with this LG?
Okay, I need help please.... Phone been f..Ed off for like 3 days now. Had to dust the epic 4g off just to have a way to ask for help.
Here's the deal. Ls980 had twrp but after 3 days that was only thing left to change. On cwm touch now. I have wiped / formated every thing the recovery will let me. Side loaded no less than 6 ROMs 4 kernels 2 gapps and now 2 recovery 100 different ways each and watched the lg logo fade to recovery till I want to shove this phone up the next @$$ that walks by with a working phone. The flash tools and what not ain't getting it. Plus I got a f..led off hotel WiFi which wants to take 12 hours for a 2.1gb file download. My phone DLS fast as hell but not like that's doing me any good.
Pull me out this freaking pit before some school teacher walks past me in the lobby and gets a vivid picture of how big this screen really is.
Thanks. E

What did you flash? It sounds like a partition changed and won't let you boot. Your only hope may be a .tot back to stock is there anyway you can get to a more reliable wifi source?

you need to find the LGG2 .tot file, and flash it with B2C Client. I had this problem last week
All the software links you need should be here:

Finally got a good tot file download. Anyone know why flashing with recovery or sideliad wont fix this?

I got the way to solve it by flashing kdz file.. but the problem is.. while flashing, it says to charge ur phone.

Try flashing the rom less than 1 GB using the KDZ_FW_UPD.exe with CS_Emergancy mode it should work if your phone have enough battery power to keep it on in download mode for 10 minutes or so, if not then try through LGNPST using tot file. Or check if it charges in the custom recovery.
Correct me if I am wrong

Turn off your phone and put it in download mode by pressing and holding ‘Volume Up’ + ‘Volume Down’ and inserting USB and use the software to flash KDZ that I attached the screetshot, KDZ_FW_UPD.exe, this one can't flash the KDZ file bigger than 1 GB so if your KDZ is more than ! GB in size then download one that is less then 1 GB recover your phone charge it then flash your desired one. You are using the R & D Tool it always check the battery level and not allow you to flash if battery is less than 50%.
Note: If you have the mako bootloader install this tool might not flash the kdz (It never did for me) to come back to full stock you will have to use the LGNPST

If it's of any help, I had exactly the same problem just a few days ago... Read from this post further down, there were some suggestions from folks, and the final solution to my issue. Long story short, KDZ Updater can work with the dead battery, if you manage to find a KDZ that can be flashed with it. I found a 1.17GB KDZ that I was able to flash (any others, just slightly larger, would give me an extract error), and then just took it from there.
As mentioned, TeenyBin and LGNPST might be another solution, but I have no first-hand experience with it, so I can't comment...
Oh, and BTW, you are saying you "tried to use KDZ Updater", but your screenshot shows the LG Mobile Support Tool -- that's a different application, and a different process. Look at a screenshot by @hackenggr a couple of posts above -- that's KDZ Updater.

I think because you decive is converted with mako bootloader LG software not found the LG phone so they stop.
Use the LGNPST to flash the E975 tot file same way you did with teenybin just rename the .tot to .bin and you will be on the LG stock and software will work fine to your desire KDZ
Hello guys!
It all started today in the morning when I opened Instagram application on my G4 (H815 model) and suddenly the phone froze. After 15 or 20 seconds it tried to reboot itself but it went straight into bootloop. It's not acctually a bootloop. It tries to go past loading screen and reboots another time and after that all I can see is LG logo.
I tried to enter recovery mode. No success. I tried updating/flashing KDZ file with LG Flash Tool and I got error everytime saying there was not enough information....
Last thing I tried was to boot into download mode. It shows Firmware Update screen but I don't thing ADB is working. I tried command adb devices and it found nothing.
I'm so desperate now as I need phone tomorrow. I hope it's not hard-bricked. Do any of you have idea what to do?
Any help apprechiated
TIA

lots of people report bottloops theres a thread and i said about 80% suffers from it.. its a hardware problem from lg .
thers the flash kdz to disable big core ,phone will be slow but usable.. and some have reported that warranty was denied and some had luck and phone was fixed give it a try..
because the first phone are suppose to be more likely to suffer from it.. so to know if its old earlier phone. or new one . that soeant suppose to happen anymore but it still does..

Thanks for the info. I checked serial number on the box and it says 507. I know a lot of 505 has this issue.
Do you have a link to that thread to disable main cores? I can still sell working phone rather than bricked
And I'm so pissed now because I didn't do anything wrong. Damn LG! Life's not good anymore!!
Is there possibility to flash KDZ with other program than LG flash tool? I can't get it working, it always says it couldn't find right information...

I want to fix it. This would probably be possible if LG flash tool worked. Do you have any suggestions? I really like this phone

well, i guess I'll have to buy new phone. I'm a little disappointed with LG for this issue. Anyway, thanks for all of the useful posts. Thread can be locked now
Yes it's LG issue, but if you had not unlocked the bootloader , you would still have warranty. They will be fix this without problem

well only time will tell most will do .its just a matter of time.. since they are new and the ones getting bootloops are older.. so they say it takes about 8-9 months to show.. will need to wait and see. in 10 months from manufacturing date.
you cant tell wich one will but, LG says they fixed the issue in new phones..

TIA
Nejc

Yes, I tried everything. I've sent LG G4 for repair with unlocked bootloader, they replaced it without problems. I was without phone for 16 days though. It's working now, but I have some WiFi issues (slow download speeds)

They are 100% lying almost every other phone is being bootloop .. Hey guys dont buy new phone buy refurbished phones instead..
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I have the following problem:
My Galaxy S9 (G960F) has restarts every 2 minutes since a week.
The Samsung customer service thinks it is the circuit board, but he can only say more precisely when he has the device open - cost approx. 250 Euros. Is a lot of money for a 2 1/2 year old cell phone.
Maybe someone has an idea?
I am currently using an old iPhone but the move with Whatsapp does not work at all.
Greetings and Merry Christmas
Klaus

flash most current FW with Odin and if it still does it, its probably a hardware issue and you might consider trading it in or something along those lines
I find it odd if it always shuts down at the same time every time.
Make sure battery is at least 60% charged and does indicate it's taking a charge ie battery %. Use know good cable/charger.
Try safe mode.
If you go to the boot menu and wait, does it cut it?
If not check to see if all hardware is working with the onboard diagnostic tests.
See what's set to have Administrator privileges; disable all.
Try a hard boot, and also clear system cache.
If that fails try a reload... run it before you load apps.
Try a reflash if all that fails.

Do you mean the firmware of G960F? Do you have a link?
The problem didn't appear until after updating Android 10

It doesn't shut down at the same time but every 2-3 minutes
Batterie is 100 % and the cabel is new

The diagnostic test says the battery is bad (94 %)
But with the USB cable connected, the restart comes

Use Odin to reflash firmware. You can get the correct firmware on Sammobile.
I'd say it's almost certainly a software not hardware issue, if it started immediately after updating to Android 10.
Try rebooting into recovery mode and clearing cache and delvic first. Could be a rogue piece of software.
If the battery is low and not charging properly it will behave like this.
They auto shutdown when battery drops below 6% or so.
When you hook charger to phone without booting it up, after 30 minutes what's the indicated charge?
Then after shutdown, again without booting it up, what's the charge shown on the charge screen?

I have already the current firmware from 2020-12-01 PDA G960FXXSCFTK2 CSC G960FOXMCFTJ2 on the mobile phone. Should I still flash again ?
Can I get into the recovery menu without root ?

Did a firmware update start this issue?
What happens if it shuts down while being flashes?
Hard brick, soft brick?
Does it stay on when you're in the boot menu?

You do not need root to access recovery - The whole point in Recovery is to help out if something goes wrong. Reboot to recovery and clear the cache and dalvic. Then restart and see if the problem persist.
If problem does persist - Boot to download mode and leave the phone in download mode for a few minutes, see if the problem happens there. Because Blackhawk brings up a good point, you may have trouble even flashing the firmware if the device powers off in download mode.

Great. In that case, if I were you I'd try flashing the firmware. It shouldn't take more than 10 mins to flash. Ensure battery is charged to 100% to give best possible performance.
I mean, when the alternative is returning to Samsung and a €250 bill, I'd say it's worth a try.
i want to try it tomorrow. What can happen if it doesn't work ?

It means it was an apk causing it and you're back to square 1.
Did you try a hard reset then run it bare bones with no loaded apps or updates?

If it doesn't work, then it means it isn't software and is hardware.
But considering Download Mode works fine, I'd say that pretty much cements the fact that it's software. Something was probably corrupted during the update. Since you've already cleared the cache ( You did that in Recovery, right?) then the best option will just be a clean flash of the update. You'll lose all data on the device, but you'll save yourself a bill from having to send it to Samsung.
As BlackHawk has said - A factory reset could potentially help. Might be worth a try before flashing stock.

Have you installed the Samsung USB drivers?
Android USB Driver for Windows | Samsung Developers
The world runs on you.
developer.samsung.com
You may also need to enable USB debugging in developer options.
Ensure you're running Odin directly from C://
Make sure you're using an original Samsung USB cable. Try a different USB port.
You are the best !! Flashing successful !! The phone has been on for 90 minutes. Wanted to restore the backed up data from smart switch but got the following message: Your device data has never been backed up on this computer
I was able to restore older data in the Samsung Cloud
